It's been a long time since we've come here. We didn't have the lobster roll 'cause it was 50 bucks! All the food was greasy, pre-formed burgers, french fries were horrid, clam legs were mostly batter, the Cesar salad had brown lettuce... and the ambiance, well... the garbage cans were so filthy on the outside and placed so close to where we ate.. just disappointed for such a long drive... and then porta-potties, gross., "cleaned once a day" i was told.

Life is short. F.....it up! Family, Flavor, Friends Was for my annual visit in Falmouth. For those who follow know that my all time fav place for chowder is Crabapple. Well this time I had my chowder there and this was last minute stop for dinner before heading out. Decided on the clam chowder and a cheese burger and onion rings. This place has been here for years serving vacation goers. Ppl typically get the fried clams which are large and good. This time I opted out. The cheeseburger was good tasty like u would expect at any clam shack. The onion rings were the beer batter type not the kind that falls off like other places. Decent slices of onion in the nice batter. Now to the chowder. This chowder after 1 sip your like woooow! Keep in mind that I just had the chowder yesterday so I got to compare. Just enough chunks of clam, onion, potatoes and other earth goodness. But for me I'm a broth guy and like to add crackers. But the flavor just resonated with me . This place was a contender. Maybe cuz I was sitting in the dock watch the boats come in and the sun was setting. I don't know but it was mmmmmm. Def try this place.

Really liked the lobster roll and onion rings I got here! Service was quick and the seats on top overlooking the sea is a great addition when eating your food!

Perfect stop on the water for fresh seafood! It was exactly what we were hoping for on our trip to the Cape. Great, fresh fried clams...overlooking the water. My husband even got to try his first stuffed Quahog! It's a classic little seafood shack, check it out!

Must go for authentic New England waterfront clam shack. Clams were fresh and cooked in clean oil. Burgers were good too. For those who like surf and turf, they have a burger with lobster and cheese which is going to be my next meal there. It is a must for a nice relaxing meal.

We had a delicious seafood lunch on Sunday after our Sail on The Liberte . Sat outside at one of numerous picnic tables, all with views of Vineyard Sound and the busy Falmouth Harbor. The service was fast and friendly, the Oysters and Clams were Outstanding!

Beautiful location ,fresh seafood and very busy. It's very small and only 1 way in and out ,makes it difficult to look at the menu if you are a first time customer and it's hard to get out with your food because it's so tight inside.Maybe they can figure out a better system because this place it's charming.Sitting on the outdoor deck and watching the boats sailing while enjoying fried whole belly clams, fried shrimp and fish sandwich it's a pretty good way to spend the afternoon!

Clams. Scallops. So good. This is a very minimalist clam shack right on the water facing the bay, effectively no social media presence, website isn't updated. Basically because they don't need to as they frequently get lines our the door. They are known for fried clams, scallops, fish, and shrimp, lobster rolls, was told not to bother with the chowder.

What a view! The food was great and the staff are very friendly. Bring your credit card. Clams and scallops have increased in price!

Stopped in on a Saturday night to catch Silent Trees, and wow -- the place was buzzing. Packed wall…read moreto wall with a lively 40-50+ crowd that clearly knows how to have a good time. You could feel the energy as soon as you walked in. The bartenders were definitely in the weeds most of the night, but you'd never know it from their attitude -- still friendly, still smiling, and somehow making me feel like I'd been coming there for years (first visit, by the way). Grabbed a veggie pizza (solid choice), a cold beer, and settled in for a couple of hours of great local music and that perfect "this is exactly where I'm supposed to be tonight" vibe. If this is what a random Saturday looks like here, I'll be back.

Review: Jack's Restaurant and Bar - A Tale of Two Temperatures…read moreIf you're looking for a spot in Falmouth where the vibes are high but the Celsius is... conservative, Jack's Restaurant and Bar is your destination. I went in with high hopes and a healthy appetite. Here's the breakdown of our culinary "Goldilocks" experience--except nothing was actually hot. The Order The Boneless Ribeye: This steak was seasoned to perfection and tender enough to make a grown man cry. It had the soul of a five-star meal, but the temperature of a brisk October morning on Old Silver Beach. I'm convinced the chef cooked it beautifully and then gave it a pep talk in a room-temperature hallway for ten minutes before sending it out. The Scallops: My companion's scallops were seared wonderfully. They looked like little pillows of heaven. Unfortunately, they were also roughly the same temperature as actual pillows. Delicious? Yes. Did they require a scarf? Possibly. The "Lukewarm" Mystery It's honestly an impressive feat of physics. To have a crust that crisp on a ribeye and a sear that golden on a scallop, yet have both arrive with the thermal energy of a glass of tap water, defies the laws of thermodynamics. Pro Tip: If you're the type of person who always burns their tongue on the first bite, Jack's is your safe haven. You can dive in with the reckless abandon of a seagull hitting a discarded fry. The Verdict The food at Jack's is legitimately tasty. The flavors are 10/10, the bar scene is lively, and the service is friendly. We didn't even send it back because, frankly, we were too busy enjoying the flavor to care about the lack of steam. It's the only place I've been where the "warm" welcome applies to the steak, too. Final Score: (Four stars--would have been five, but I had to check my ribeye for a pulse to see if it was hibernating.)

From the second we walked in, the whole place just had an amazing atmosphere. The ambience is honestly one of the best parts about dining here -- you've got that perfect Cape Cod waterfront vibe with the boats in the marina, the breeze coming off the water, and the way the light hits the harbor around sunset makes everything feel super relaxed but still special at the same time. It's the kind of place where you can actually enjoy your meal without feeling rushed, and just take in where you are. On top of that, our waitress Ashley gave us outstanding service. She was genuinely so nice and welcoming right from the start, constantly checking in on us without ever being overbearing. You can tell she really cares about making sure people are having a good experience. She answered all of our questions about the menu, gave great recommendations, and made sure everything came out perfectly. It's rare to get service that feels that attentive but still natural, and she really made our night better. And the food was amazing. Everything came out fresh, hot, and full of flavor. You could tell it was made with care and not just rushed out. Between the service, the ambience, and the quality of the food, this was easily one of the best dining experiences we've had in Falmouth. We'll definitely be coming back, and we hope to get Ashley again next time!

Where to start.. I ordered the spicy crabby & cucumber salad…read more& it was not only a huge portions but it was the best I've ever had! Seriously, if you follow me, you know that is a compliment! My drink was a dirty martini & it was a heavy pour & a decent drink. Again, not the best but very good. For the entree I wanted to order the sushi pizza.. yea you heard it right, I wouldn't have even considered it but by neighboring table got it & it looked FANTASTIC. However, I was away from home & did not want leftovers so I ordered the special sushi roll Crimson Tide & added Jalapeños. The Jalapeños were fresh & crispy, but did not lend any additional heat. I am a sushi snob, so it was not the best I've ever had, but it was decent. For most it would be good. The menu changes regularly, which was a little disappointing. It was different online, vs on Yelp vs in person & the prices were about $10 more than listed online, but overall, it wasn't a bad experience. I would recommend checking them out, just know it won't be cheap. I originally wanted the seared Tuna, but when I got here, it was halibut & it was $36 vs $22. I will include pics of the menu, but like I said, it's subject to change. OK, take this with a grain of salt. I would probably have made it a 4 vs 3 so I'm on the fence. Regan, my server explained that the additional $6 added to my $12 martini was not because it was a dirty martini, but because it was up vs on the rocks, so it was a bigger pour. It makes sense, but I have never seen this before.. make your own decisions.
