We were sat, but then nobody came by in the 15 minutes we sat there. None of the servers acknowledged us or even brought us water. This is the cutest little breakfast place. It's exactly what you would think of when you think vacation destination cafe. The ambience was your typical vacation diner ambience. The menu was large with so many options. There were lobster breakfast foods, French toasts, pancakes, and all the other typical breakfast foods. All the food we had here was amazing! I had the cinnamon roll French toast which came with strawberries to balance out the sweetness with a bit of tart perfectly. My husband had an omelet and thought it was great as well. Not sure why it took us so long to finally make it here. We had excellent breakfast here. The service was fast. I couldn't believe the Lobster Benny is only like $16. And it was loaded with lobster meat. My son got the hash Benny and he loved it. The hollandais sauce was nice and citrusy. My daughter had an omelette that she enjoyed as well. A restaurant is only as good as the staff it employs and Crabapples consist of only the best. From the woman who greeted us on the way in to the man who waited on us at our table to the girl who wished us safe travels as we were leaving, they were all top-notch. I don't remembered exactly what my wife and kids ordered, but I do know they loved it and ate every bite. For myself, I ordered the fish chowda and the lobster roll. First time having a lobsta roll and although I don't have anything to compare it to I can say it was one of the most delicious sandwiches I've ever tasted. The fish chowda was better than the lobster and clam chowdas I had previously tasted here in Massachusetts. Let me tell ya, that's saying a lot. The menu was varied and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was relaxing, chill. The staff, again, exceptional. Definitely one of the best stops I've made so far on my East Coast excursion and I'd sure love to return one day. We have been here numerous times on the weekends and it has been great! The staff are outstanding and the food is excellent. Today we stopped in for a brunch and have never been so disappointed. The waitress was not attentive, took our order, delivered it and then didn't see her until she was coraled for more coffee. Wife had the scallop roll and the scallops were not cooked fully thru. The middles were gray and slimy but we never saw the waitress again until she asked if we wanted our check. It really wasn't that busy compared to the weekends. We decided to try this place out because of great reviews. The menu had some great options. We ordered clam rolls and a surf and turf. The clams were practically burnt and made in old oil. The tartar sauce was just mayo. The sweet potato fries were flavorless as was the Cole slaw. The crab cake on the surf and turf was burnt. While on vacation, we passed by this place a few times before deciding to try it. It doesn't look super impressive from the outside but all the staff are so friendly and welcoming inside! They will greet you when you're waiting by the door, which is rare these days. They stay pretty busy but we never had to wait long during our visit in September. Their standout dish was the fish "chowdah"! We got it twice two different times! A lady waiting with us the last time said she drives from 25 minutes away to get the chowder every week.
