We decided to try breakfast at The Barn for the second time. The first time was excellent (which is why I am not giving this a 1 Star), but was at least a year ago. This current visit for breakfast was so disappointing and disgusting. I ordered eggs over medium in hopes that the whites were cooked all the way, which they were fall from done. The hash browns were probably the most disgusting I have ever eaten. There was some sort of salty nasty seasoning on them which made them totally inedible. I am just hoping the meat I had was cooked all the way through. To finish this off, who uses the end piece of bread for French toast? We will never be back for breakfast again. read more

Worst food and service ever!!! Myself and a group of friends went there for a ladies night out for a friends birthday.. Needless to say everybody had to send their food back to him three times the waitress and the manager was unapologetic.. Also, one of the friends that ordered a bloody Mary had a slice of bacon and American cheese and her bloody Mary and that was one of the mistakes... Nobody was offered a refund, or even a discount or an apology! Also.. All 5 of us were charged for bottomless fries, that were NOT not received!! When this was pointed out to the manager, he shrugged his shoulders and said oh well and didn't even fix it. The bar looks nothing like the pictures online, and we ended up leaving early because it was so terrible!!! We will not be going back to the barn in Fenton! Went in the afternoon. No Wait for a table. The place was about 1/3 full. A lot of staff on front of the house and back which is typical for a new place. I had a burger, which was decent. Wife had tacos, which she liked a lot. Took a little long for food, but again. .. it's a new place, and they need to get into a routine, So no biggie... I get it. My biggest issue would be prices. Beer is over priced compared to other new local joints that carry craft draft beers. And I've had better burgers for 2-3.00 less. I think they did a nice job with the remodel. However, I dont get the tie -in of surfing and "The Barn"... leave the surfboards to Flip Flops Grill and Chill on hill rd. All in all, not bad. We'll be back. read more

Was here last night for a birthday party - about 25 people. . .one waitress and she kept up -very good service. This "new place" new ownership, new design/decore - all looks great and I'll be back. Only 4 stars as i had the grilled salmon fish tacos which i had heard were great. The plate was ok- they used the hard shells that you can get at any grocery store which means there isn't much room for food in these LITTLE shells. I'd recommend soft tortillas or get a better crunchy taco shell. Also the sides are tiny - about a tablespoon each of flavored rice and black beans. . the beans had no flavoring (were they emptied right from a can?). I am sure things will continue to get better. read more

Party of 4 came in for dinner and was not impressed. There was no flavor in any of the dishes we ordered and it didn't taste good. The portions were okay sized but it was very expensive for the quality of food. We did have a friendly server and received good service. But will not be back. read more

Horrible experience for everyone in our large group of 20 + people celebrating a birthday. After approaching the bar numerous times, providing our ID multiple times, they continued to question our legal age, and even after having tabs open. Just obtaining a drink from the bartender, Fred, made our night not only incredibly difficult, but horribly unpleasant to the point where not a single one of us will be returning. They even refused serving us after showing frustration with their services. Unfortunate that a birthday party can turn sour this quickly. We provided plenty of business, purchasing drinks and lots of food,only to be scowled at by the bartenders. Our waitresses were more than helpful and understanding, wish the same could be said for the 2 bartenders. Is there a negative star option? read more

Right off the highway, totally laid back atmosphere. A few TVs and a good selection of beer and mixed drinks. The food is not too expensive and they offer bottomless fries. Who can beat that? These are steak fries too. Yum. Had a cod sandwich on flatbread that was huge and savory. Lots of burgers to choose from too. Nice enclosed patio area that I'm sure will be wonderful in the warmer months. The waitstaff is cheerful. Thanks for the great service!! read more

Pricey and the so called gourmet burgers are well just not good. I do however like the flatbread pizzas.

Great atmosphere! Smiling servers! Tried the burgers,the pizzas, and the burrito bar! Loved them all.. While waiting for food I was able to enjoy my favorite Michigan craft beers! Which were very low in cost :) 10 thumbs up to the barn! read more

Nice atmosphere for a sports type bar. Good burgers and bottomless fries. Steak special was good too. Reasonable prices. Usually not much of a wait. Piedmontese beef is the specialty here. Great place to grab a quick bite to eat and a few drinks. Highly recommend the blt pizza and the buffalo chicken salad. So good!!! Drink and food prices are extremely reasonable for the quality. First time here. The Sunny Side Up burger was pretty good. The egg could've used another minute as some the whites were still raw. The bottomless fries was nice, however we had to wait a few minutes too many for them, (my wife finished her lunch before they arrived.) First of all, I love the atmosphere. I think the decor is great. Second, the buffalo blue balls (appetizer) are so good! So good that when I came back I had them as my entree. Just came here for breakfast and our group of six were the first table seated. We waited over an hour for our meals and other tables were served before us. When we asked what was the hold up our waitress told us some of their cooks didn't show up so they were short staffed. Would have been completely understandable if the waitress would have brought forth that information herself or a manager would have come over to explain or apologize. Also we weren't even offered a discount... Very frustrating. The two stars are only because the food was pretty good with some quality ingredients. read more

Expensive, slow, poorly Managed! $1 Up Charge for No Ice in a drink! Waitress was non responsive after we waited almost 45 minutes for food and Manager was rude. A family next to us were seated and then ignored for more than 20 minutes. Won't see us again! Plenty of other good places to eat in Fenton, like Beall street bbq across the street. read more

We went there a couple of times and the food was mediocre. The best part about the restaurant was the décor.

The burgers and burritos are pretty good. I do wish you got more for your money with the burritos, like you would at Qdoba.

Very very average food for a not so average price. The atmosphere is more of a bar atmosphere very very loud and not a good place to take a serious first date or to bring family if you want to have a conversation. Wait staff is extremely nice though. read more

We stopped into The Barn tonight because their menu looked good and the reviews were nice. I am beyond disapointed to say the least that we did not get a chance to try it. We were pushed to the side entering the place by 2 drunks that had Cigarettes hanging out of their mouths making their way out. Then we got to the hostess counter and their were 3 employees (2 female and one male) standing there. None of them even acknowledged that we were there, then the looked at us and started to walk away. One of the females said to the other "Are you going to seat them?", the other one responded "No, I have other things to do." All 3 of them kept walking away leaving us standing there. Obviously we were not welcome so we began to leave, the female that said she had other things to do then tried to chase us down. I told her they are rude and that was the worst service we have ever had before even being seated at a restaurant. Needless to say we will never go back. read more

Wanted to try the new place in town & my husband was excited to try this "Burrito Bar". Word of advice: you can't call something a "bar" if you're making it back in the kitchen. That would be more of a "Create Your Own". We were expecting more of a salad bar type theme where you, obviously, make your own burrito. This was nothing more than a burrito on the menu that you tell the waitress what you want in it, the cook makes it for you in the back, and they call it a "burrito bar". The potato soup was overly thick and luke warm. It was really nothing overly impressive. Many friends say they have enjoyed the establishment so I would go back for another try. read more

Great burgers, but for $11 it should be. I had tacos, about the same as Taco Bell tacos. Very pricey for what it was I thought. Prices started around $10 and went up from there. Had burger, 1 soda, taco and $1.00 beer and bill w/ tip was $30. Service was so so. read more
