While the ambiance leave a bit to be desired (especially with the floor mat guy coming to switch them out for cleaning, only to find a large insect hiding under one of them- sending the waitresses off in a tizzy) the service was friendly. What a cute place! Kids and I went for breakfast and the food was excellent. They both got the cinnamon roll pancakes and loved them so much we got a takeout order for hubby at home. It was only the tiniest bit slow and the waitress and hostess both were apologizing profusely...and seriously, it was not a big deal especially because they were swamped when we got there! Super rude server. We had 6 people came in for breakfast. The server told us they don't have space for 6. She said It in such a way as if we own her money. We were already annoyed by her attitude and going to walk away. But one of our party noticed there are actually many empty tables inside they are just smaller, so he suggested we can seat 3 and 3. The server said they cant do that in a despise. No further explanation on why. No acknowledgment when we came in the door. Waitress took us to a table. We asked if we could have the corner table & she said, "That's for more than 2 ppl" without offering us another option or saying anything else....AND the place was half empty. Not too friendly. When done, it took longer than it should have to get our bill & I believe we may have been overcharged. Since we were up to the cash register when we got it, we didn't take the time to look at it. Waffle with blueberries 2 eggs, toast & coffee. $14.65? I left $ 3.00 tip which would of been more if we'd felt had a friendlier, more on top of it waitress. :-( read more

Stopped in here for a quick lunch today, they posted a deal on minbcdeals. Ordered a burger and fries, grilled chicken sandwich on a pita, iced tea, diet coke, and strawberry rhubarb pie a la mode for dessert. Please see pics for details. The atmosphere is casual with an Elvis theme to the decor. They have 45's on the wall, movie pics etc. Service is quick and efficient with attention to detail. They filled up our drinks several times. The meal was spot on from the sandwiches to the pie. This is my first time eating in this local establishment since it changed hands. So they finally updated their place but unfortunately the food remains the same. Obviously it is a locals place. Many people who came in were immediately greeted but I warranted nary a nod. Sat down and was provided cursory service as compared with the "regulars." I ordered the standard breakfast, eggs over easy, hash browns sausage and coffee. Inexpensive to be sure but my over easy eggs were over hard (love he yoke) the hash browns and sausage had sat on the grill too long. The coffee was terrible maxwell house quality. I realize this is average food, however the reviews lead one to believe it is breakfast nirvana. Far from it. Stay home and make your own breakfast; good chance it will be better. read more

This place sucks. I came in sat at 8:45am. I left at 9:15 and never got my breakfast. Waitress was terrible (Older Lady with Pony tail). It took her a good 10 minutes to even to take my order and I believe she forgot to even put it in. When I told her I just wanted to pay for the coffee because I was late for work she gave me a dirty look and didnt appologize to me. If she would have just told me sorry its taking so long or admitted to making a mistake I would not be upset. When I left, I called up there to talk to the manager and she answered and said she was the manager. She told me that she took everyone's order at the same time. Really because I sat down before two other tables she took orders from and I didnt even get my order. Clearly she's a terrible waitress because she forgot to put my order in if she put in all the orders at the same time. read more

We went to Shirley's today on a recommendation. We had omelettes which were some of the best we ever had. The hash browns were homemade and most delicious. The service was excellent and we always had cofffee in our cups. We will surely be going back soon to try some other breakfast items or maybe lunch.
