What an adorable little breakfast gem! I can see this spot getting quite crowded on the weekend. This restaurant is located right off the Greenway so it would be a great spot to bike to! We enjoyed breakfast out on the patio and enjoyed it despite the construction out back. I think they may be adding on a patio for more outdoor dining. We really enjoyed the biscuits and gravy and Gouda grits!

Great bacon and this is the plain French toast

Fast service, we had our name on the list but chose to sit on the patio on a cool morning. They had plenty of heaters so not a big deal. Actually we got warm! 2 servers working all the tables so plenty of attention and food was fast!! I also love to pay at your table with the server and machine. Patio was nice. Park near by and historic sites. Yea the construction is not pretty but they provide a QR code as I'm sure they get asked a million times. My mistake was not getting the Belgian waffles made into French toast. The option the day I was there was not a fan of so I skipped it. But I'll be back!! Great place for a casual breakfast or lunch followed by a hike afterwards.

There was a lot for parking. Service is excellent. Prompt and attentive. There's even a store upstairs. Food was good. Hash browns. 9/10. Crispy. Tasty. Sourdough. 8/10. Already buttered and toasted well. Eggs over medium. 9/10. Well cooked. OJ. 7/10. Solid. Sausage. 6/10. Good. I like it cooked more well done. Taste was fine. Bacon. 6/10. I like it crispier. But didn't request it that way either. Pancakes. 7/10. It was good. Nothing that stands out. A great breakfast overall. Service was excellent and recommend.

First impression of The Barn? Absolutely irresistible... From the moment we walked in, the customer service was top tier. The host greeted us with genuine warmth, friendly, upbeat, and welcoming in a way that instantly set the tone, customer service is everything to me and that's what stood out to me especially for first impressions. The vibe? Unmatched. The entire staff moved like a well oiled machin...very supportive, family oriented, and clearly proud of what they do as a team. Now let's talk about the food... hunnti, it did NOT disappoint. Everything came out prompt, made to order, fresh, and packed with a kick of flavor. You can taste the care in every bite. Kudos to chef. Yes, it was busy, but in the best way.... The energy in the atmosphere makes you want to stay and soak it all in, but also respecting the flow because this spot is in demand!!! If you haven't tried The Barn yet, go. Don't overthink it. You will not be disappointed!

Stopped in for a quick brunch after morning kid activities and glad we did! We got in the parking lot which had a decent amount of space and snagged the last spot open. On their site you can get on the waiting list which we did and it said 45 min wait. We got in after about 10 mins. The host was super nice and our server Colleen was a doll! We had a good time with some other people sitting near us and the food was so good and fresh! I had the special French toast which was a waffle in fresh toast batter with a strawberry shortcake topping! My husband had the Texan with a fried egg instead of poached and the Gouda grits. Sooooo good! It's the cutest place, atmosphere was super chill.

We're traveling and it's easy to say this has been the best food place so far. Dog friendly patio, great hard working staff. The food was rich in flavor and very tasteful.

This is a cute breakfast spot with a great brunch menu I found online and wanted to try before we headed out to the Ozark on our family trip. Kind'of on the outskirts of town and near some pretty parks and farmland. I really liked the quieter location and views from the back patio while we ate. They're also dog-friendly and let people's dogs on the patio. I love that they have a rotating Avocado toast on the menu and the day we were there it had brisket and sounded delicious. They have breakfast and lunch options and a ton of sides with a bunch of interesting Benedicts that sounded delicious. I ordered the egg salad BLT which was delicious and huge with the cheese grits on the side and thought it was excellent. I got a croissant and should've gotten the toast bc my husband ordered a breakfast sandwich on toast that was yummy. Coffee was OK but not excellent - a bit too watered down for my taste. We tried one of their daily pastries and had a white chocolate raspberry scone which was pretty good. There is a small gift shop upstairs with some gifts and cute items you can browse while you wait or after you eat for gifts or tchotchkes and they had mugs for sale.

    The Spicy Bloody Mary....wow!

Met up with 11 girlfriends for a late lunch, we were seated right away and our waitress was fantastic! She told us their specials, got our drinks (may I recommend the spicy Bloody Mary, it's excellent!). I had the BLT, very good...but the highlight...the carrot cake! HOLY CRAP, think it might be the best I have ever had....and I forgot to take a picture!!! So now I HAVE to go back....The Barn is very cute, quaint and all of the food was wonderful, they are only open till 130pm so plan accordingly....

This was our first visit to The Barn! Best thing we did was join the online waiting list via Google on a busy Sunday morning, highly recommend so you can sit right away as the inside seating area is cozy! We were greeted by Josh who was incredibly personable and made us feel very welcome, and we were shown to or table around shortly after arriving. All the staff were wonderful and very attentive! We ordered the Barn Breakfast and the Strata, both were wonderful! Food arrived 5 minutes after we ordered so we were extremely happy. We will definitely be back!

My daughter's favorite brunch option. Service is always impeccable and we love sitting outside on the patio. They have gluten-free options for my daughter. She really enjoys the gluten-free French toast and potatoes. I normally get the avocado toast special of the day. They have great homemade desserts. I usually get one to go and take some home for my husband.

Located 6 mins from Kirkwood, the Barn offers a farm- house ambience for a honey brunch. I love sitting next to the museum area where colorful flowers are planted. Service is attentive. The server provided great suggestions to the menu items. You can't go wrong with either the crawfish or crabcake Benedict. They offered a pretty generous portion of the "protein", which is a pleasant surprise. The coffee or tea options are alright. No latte or espresso option is available. Though, they offer cocktails. I will come back to the Barn!

I got the Mexican mimosa, Boo got the regular mimosa. I liked the salt rim! Boo ordered the Barn Breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon, and the barn browns, and the biscuit stole the show--large, fluffy, and "not dry like your standard biscuit." I got the eggs Benedict with the crab cake, forgot the name of it, and the barn browns with sausage gravy. My food was very good, but I should've not ordered the bread pudding for dessert, looking back. It was good, but I'm not a fan of whipped cream or walnuts. Only taking one star away because the atmosphere was loud and chaotic. I know that's good for the restaurant (being busy), but it made for slightly strained conversation and a kind of tense mood.

We were greeted in the morning with tons of smiles! Such a pleasant brunch experience and super homey. Ordered the Texan Eggs Benedict (MUST ORDER) and the barn breakfast. Lord that eggs benedict with short rib was beyond delish. Got bacon, sausage and a side pancake. Everything came out hot and fast (great for kids). Thanks to the energetic & fun host who made our daughter smile the whole time.

We were pretty seated right away (party of 2.5) next to their beautiful plants and bar. Parking in the area can be a headache, but Songbird does have a small parking lot next door and can be worth trying. Our service was very welcoming and nice! The quality has not wavered once. I ordered what I always order: The Combo (fried eggs, maplewood smoked bacon, cheese, brioche toast), extra egg, extra bacon. Most kitchens treat a fried egg as binary (runny or ruined). Songbird has mastered the middle register: lacy edges with a yolk that stays glossy and intact right up until the first bite. I ordered them over hard, and they came out a bit closer to over medium, but they were just as good as I wanted them to be. The bacon carries real smoke. This is a decadent sandwich, big enough that half of it would make a light breakfast; I wasn't remotely hungry after one, the second half was indulgent. The service made the move too. The hostess still recognizes returning customers, and the bigger room finally lets the dining experience breathe. The service at the table could have been a little warmer as we've had it the past, but it is still professional. I was there with two close college buddies, one of whom declared his latte excellent. I keep meaning to get adventurous with the menu, but it is genuinely hard to find a bacon, egg, and cheese toasted this perfectly, and I'd go twice in one day if given the opportunity. 4.8 A full five arrives the day when I can arrive first thing on a Saturday without a 30 minute wait, honestly, it's hard to get a reservation here because of its popularity. Good for them. Cheers to you, Songbird. Dolly would be proud

A piece of candied bacon came on the Bloody Mary and I'm still thinking about it. Then the food. I got a cheeseburger and fries and it was freaking fantastic. So juicy and tender, tons of flavor, one of the top burgers in St. Louis in my opinion. My husband got a special which was a braised beef Benedict and he was VERY happy. He likes a good burger and still said his meal was the best. They plate everything so beautifully, this is like a high class culinary experience in a (clean diner) with great prices. The Fleur-de-Lys is the epitome of a luxurious getaway. Whether it is the quaintly appointed guest…read morerooms or the delightful library and parlor, each area of this former residence is unique and meticulously maintained. While it is not likely the norm, the owners, Mark & Leslie, met us at the front door, quite literally inviting us into their establishment. It was simply the most welcoming manner in which to be introduced to this treasure and Leslie quickly engaged us with the history of the home and how she and Mark had recently become the owners. We chose this destination based upon the significance of the Fleur-de-lis to my love, a native New Orleanian. Given St. Louis' rich French heritage, the mansion was originally outfitted with four chimneys that feature the fleur-de-lis design and the pattern is repeated throughout the home. While we enjoyed a quiet morning coffee in the back of the property, a lovely shaded patio area, she noticed how many places the symbol was present. She actually made mention to Mark & Leslie that they could make an activity out of counting/finding all of the fleur-de-lis around the home. What a fun idea! We were fortunate enough to book the Tower Grove Park room, a spacious room fitted with a king-size bed and a two-person jacuzzi tub. There is even a 'fainting couch' for that extra French touch! The bed was amazingly comfortable and the decor and accoutrements were exceptional, right down to the pocket doors and writing desk. But a B&B is set apart by the fare served in the morning, and this is where Mark, a chef by trade, and Leslie, a self-taught baker, knock it out of the park. That morning's menu included a fruit starter, fresh juice, Leslie's home-baked sourdough toast and home-baked English muffins, and Mark's egg and sausage soufflés with country potatoes. The entire breakfast had us completely over the moon! We felt so at home that we wanted to clear our own place - so we did! The rates are competitive and well worth every moment spent here. There is parking behind the property, as well as across from the property, and each guest is allowed a unique security code so as to gain entry while you are enjoying your stay. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed this getaway, and Mark, Leslie, & assistant Sammy made us feel like family from the moment we crossed the threshold. We'll be back - and you should give Fleur-de-Lys a try!
