This is my favorite barre studio in the DFW area. The instructors challenge you and it's a blast. I highly recommend.

The staff made me feel welcome as soon as I walked in the door. I got a tour of the place and a little summary of what to expect for the hour. The instructor was so encouraging and knowledgeable about proper form. She was not hesitant to come over and fix my body position to make sure I was doing it safely and so that I would get the most out of it. My whole body was shaking by the end of it, which is the purpose so I felt great about the class! I am sure I will be very sore, but I am also very eager to get back in that studio!

During my recent trip to D-town I was eager to find some sort of workout since a) no gym at my…read morein-laws and b) it was way too hot (and rainy) to run outside. I turned to one of my favorite pregnancy workouts: The Bar Method. Since I"m a bit of a workoutaholic and was only 3 1/2 months pregnant at the time I just signed up online for one of their regular classes. Thanks to all my work travels I've done the Bar Method many times in a variety of cities. It may have been my first time doing the Bar Method in Dallas, but figured I didn't need to waste my time with an easy intro class. However, when I arrived and mentioned to the girls at the front desk that I was pregno they gave me a hard time about not starting with a pre-natal class, which they didn't even have on the schedule for that particular day. Fortunately, I talked my way into the "advanced" class and was able to get my workout on. While I don't have much energy at 8:15am on a Friday I found the teacher to have especially low energy. I usually find that the Bar Method class flies by, but looked at my watch several times throughout this workout. I left feeling somewhat satisfied with my workout, but it was definitely one of the weaker Bar Method classes I've attended throughout the country. The studio itself was beautiful and I'd definitely be up for trying another class while in town. I've tried Exhale's* Core Fusion class, which is very similar on other trips to Dallas and found that to be a bit more challenging. And bonus points for Core Fusion because you can stick around Exhale after for a much needed massage. --------- * http://www.yelp.com/biz/exhale-mind-body-spa-dallas#hrid:WPrCTzheqs_RiFw0bqnxJA

barre3 -- Dallas, TX…read more barre3 was the first barre class I ever tried, and it completely changed how I view fitness. I originally found it through ClassPass, and now I find myself rebooking over and over again -- it's truly become one of the biggest reasons I fell back in love with working out. What I love most is how fun and uplifting every class feels. It's this perfect mix of cardio, strength training, and balance work, but somehow it feels more like a dance party than a workout. The music, the energy, and the lighting all create a space that pushes you while still being gentle and encouraging. The instructors are so friendly and supportive, and even the owner teaches classes, which really says a lot about the culture here. You can tell they genuinely care about their community -- they remember your name, cheer you on, and make you feel comfortable no matter your fitness level. Every time I leave, I feel stronger, more confident, and more connected -- both to myself and to the people around me. It's rare to find a studio that combines great workouts, amazing instructors, and a true sense of belonging, but barre3 does exactly that. It's no surprise they're opening more locations -- once you try one class, you'll understand why!

Your first free class will cost you money whether it ends up with you contracting a STAPH INFECTION AND OR TOENAIL FUNGUS AND dealing with the worst managing partner EVER Danae Skiba. She use to be at the Trufusion Houston location and brought her garbage toxicity with her. Go to that Yelp page and check out those reviews. You'll be fighting to get your autopay back when she won't refund your money. They wouldn't return my phone calls and then when Danae left a VM, she told me to never return to the studio that I made her staff uncomfortable. LAUGHABLE. And please don't put yourself in a situation where major HEALTH CODE VIOLATIONS are lingering waiting to disrupt your health in the way a STAPH INFECTION does. All the phenomenal instructors left the studio because they are being treated with the utmost disrespect. WORD OF MOUTH TRAVELS QUICKLY especially when you mess with someone as myself who tried every means of handling this appropriately. BYE TRUFUSION DALLAS!

I decided to try something new and saw this location has a bootcamp class, so Registered for it. The location is BEAUTIFUL! very upscale, modern, cool, clean! Top notch for sure. The class was packed! We were instructed to get different equipment. The instructor was excited, energetic, and motivating! The music was good, and loud. My issue with everything was that it was a "sweat" Class so the temperature was at 92, cool, I'm ok with that, i take plenty of bikram/hot yoga classes. But what i found myself doing was using my smaller weights to do the exercise to prevent me from passing out. Lol. I wanted to use heavy weights but couldn't. There were a few times where i was like " Yeah, you are about to pass out". The other issue i had was, because it was so hot, i was sweating hardcore, that it made it hard to even lift the weights because it became slippery. I was trying really hard to keep them in my hands but they slipped out many times. I understand that the heat is for cardiovascular health, which was fine. Overall, i don't think i got a good workout for me personally. I decreased my weight usage and felt like I was sweating from the heat not from the actual exercise. I will stick to running at white rock lake and lifting weights at my home gym.

Brief backstory: I used to take…read moretrampoline/rebounder classes at Xtend Barre in Preston Hollow, but it closed during COVID. I was unable to find anything like that in Dallas, and Motiv Fitness (where I go in Houston) has not gotten to the DFW area. I was in Athleta and the associate told me she takes rebounder classes at the new Club Studio, but it requires a membership and classes are full. I figure maybe some other business has this by now, and sure enough, I found C7! I signed up for the morning class today, and with little traffic on a Saturday, it was only a 13 minute drive for me! I showed up early since I am a newbie, and the owner Shannon welcomed me and told me about her business and philosophy. Then she introduced me to instructor Lisa (what a great name!) who put me behind her spot so I could follow. The room was spacious and has a hidden door in the mirrored wall leading to a bathroom that was stocked with amenities. In the studio, each station was pre-set with numerous props, including a long resistance band with handles made of the same material instead of plastic (I had not seen that before), bala wrist weights and bala ring (10 lb), 3 lb and 5 lb dumbbells, a glider, a booty band, and a ball. We bounced to a fantastic playlist, with each cardio segment choreographed and repeated, then got off and on for different strength, core, and glute work using different props (and we were given options). The finale was running through as much of the combined choreographed cardio segments that we could in the last song. The energy was high, the community was very welcoming and encouraging, and no one laughed at my failed attempts to match choreography. I got a full body workout and was drenched in sweat (and was grateful the studio provided a towel which I had forgotten to bring). I stopped by a coffee shop on the way out of the area to get matcha, and told them I needed it iced because I took this class. A customer overheard me and asked, "Did you go to C7? I have been wanting to try it!" I will definitely return when I am back in Dallas!
