It was really crowded. Couldn't tell who worked there. Had to stand in long line at the bar to get a drink then had to write our order down for the bar tender. However, the bar tender was on it and pumping out drinks as fast as her two hands could move. She was personable. Entertainment was good and probably reason for the large crowd. We sat outside due to no space inside. Only downfall was we had to order drinks inside, no wait help outside. If we wanted to go back inside to check on the entertainment, we couldn't walk in with our drinks, so we had to gulp it down or leave it (dangerous if nobody to watch your drinks) or toss it. Stopped in for lunch at the recommendation of a person working in a neighboring business. My wife had the poke and I the fish and chips. Both were outstanding! The poke was fresh and an ample sized order. The fish had a crispy light and non-oily battered exterior and a delicious, tender interior, all served with a tasty home-made tartar sauce. I had the fish sandwich which was very good. $21 for a fish sandwich and sweet potato fries is a little much though. I played $200. Bartender was nice overall but never asked me my name or if I wanted to join the players club. Felt like she could've been a little more friendly and engaging. Friday night, live Hawaian music. Singer so do a great job but it is way too loud. Can barely talk to the person across from you because it's so loud. Only a few people in the place on a Friday night. Menu changed and not as good as when it was Shakespeares. Chicken wings tasted like fish so my guess is they use the same oil for frying. read more

This place is awesome! Walked up to find that they have an outdoor seating area. We went inside and were instantly greeted by a voice from the bar. We sat and the waiter/bartender, Johnny, came over to tell us the specials and give us menus. Johnny is such a genuinely friendly person with a fun personality. We ordered a Teri cheeseburger with steak fries and a garlic chicken with skinny fries. My husband loved his burger, that he doubled the meat for only $3.99 more. My chicken was crunchy and so flavorful! The place has a Hawaiian atmosphere without being tacky. Everything came to $40something before tip. My favorite post work hang. Beach House does a great job creating a neighborhood vibe with a ninth island feel. The menu selection has a great mix of bar standards and Hawaiian specialties including possibly the best Pokè I've ever had. The saimin is noodle soup is also fantastic and the garlic chicken to die for. The staff is super friendly and Yhomara is likely to become your favorite bartender ever. We have been going to this bar for years (we live across the street) and have been thru all the management and name changes, some were good and some were not, so of course we've been many times since it's changed to the Beach House. The service can be hit and miss but the food is pretty good. They have ALWAYS had the best chicken fingers around. They have a lot of live music which is cool but it would be great if they had a rock band once in a while and the drink prices are on the high side. Our recent visit will probably be our last. We were a group of 6 but we had 3 separate checks. After the bill had been run and my husband was going to add the tip, we noticed a 20% tip had already been charged but, at the bottom it said "18% gratuity will be charged for parties of 8 or more". We were not happy that, first of all a 20% tip was charged without our knowledge but then when we asked the server about it she said "well we add an auto gratuity for groups" we said, "it says on the bill it is 18% for groups of 8 or more, we only had 6!" The server looked at us like she was confused and her response was "Oh umm I don't really know why sometimes it does that", we told her we weren't happy and thought it was out of line and her response was to say she was sorry and kind of threw up her hands. We normally tip 20% or more sometimes, so it wasn't the money but charging it without the customer knowing is terrible. Be careful and check your bill closely. They lost some regulars, we won't go back! read more

Went here to watch a local band Anthem Generations play. The place filled up quickly with locals we know that follow this band. Their country and classic rock style music fit well and they were great. There was dancing and an upbeat vibe the whole evening. The only tiny downside was We had only one waiter to service the entire restaurant and he worked his tail off to keep everybody happy and did a tremendous job of it. It's amazing because the tables were all filled by 5pm. He was friendly and kind, took our orders quickly and the food was brought out in a timely manner. He didn't miss a beat! The quality of the pub style food was very good. We had chicken fingers with skinny fries. The chicken was moist and crunchy on the outside. Delicious and met our expectations for good pub fare.
