I am biased. I grew up eating Wilson burgers. I think it's still owned by the same Korean couple that I knew when I was younger, but I don't see them anymore. There's a new staff of Korean folks who work there now. But that hasn't changed the quality of the food. It's a small diner with three tables both indoors and outdoors. Although tables outside are more for two ppl. This is a casual, quick pick up or eat in diner, not a proper sit down restaurant. I love their breakfast burritos, chicken teriyaki with onions and chopped chili peppers, burger and fries. (Their corn dogs in my childhood were bomb but I haven't eaten it in recent times so can't say.) Their ranch is not super thick, but the best flavor imho. All of the food is made fresh so it'll take 10-15 min, but it comes out piping hot. The chicken teriyaki plate comes with a bed of rice and side salad and ranch dressing on the side. It's my favorite, over any other place. It's $15 now with inflation, but the servings are large and worth every penny. read more

I've lived not that far away from Wilson Burgers for the last 15 years or so. Never been in until recently. It always looked like it didn't belong in the neighborhood. I was craving a breakfast burrito and read some reviews saying the burritos are their favorite. And, after trying one, I know why. They clearly have NEVER had a breakfast burrito anywhere else. I ordered one, asked for it all bacon (normally comes with bacon and sausage). It was $10, pretty small, and I could tell they deep fried the life out of the bacon. It was burnt and acrid. They didn't skimp on the bacon, so there was plenty of that unpleasant taste to go around. The shredded potato's were mushy. The eggs themselves were fine, but under mixed (my guess is they crack it onto the plancha/pan and use a spatula to scramble them. Points for not using egg mix. The cheese was there yet not there (adding to the soft texture but not adding to flavor). I felt the tortilla was mid. I couldn't tell if it was salted or not because the burnt bacon took over the flavor. They did serve it with some tasty salsa fresca. It helped to mask the burrito flavor but, unfortunately, had zero spice. It's an order at the counter and they'll call you to get the bag kind of place. They have a few tables inside and a couple of tables outside. It's a small dive. The menu looks like it hasn't been replaced in 20 years. The service was friendly. Bottom line, Will I go back for a breakfast burrito? It's an easy N-O. Will I go back to try a burger? Probably just to give the place another chance. It's been in business for a while, so, maybe I just picked an item they aren't known for. After all, they are called Wilson Burgers, not Wilson Breakfast Burritos. They also serve teriyaki chicken, which I find random. Maybe I'll try that too. read more

It's not a sweet teriyaki sauce so I can't say that its the best teriyaki plate. But it is the best chicken and beef plate I've ever had!!!! Hands down the best chicken and beef plate ever!!! It's chicken and beef on a bed of rice, and they have these tiny peppers that make it spicy. I love to pour their ranch on top of the meat so that it becomes a bit creamy. Since old ownership changed by young ownership who is very polite to customers I become very big fan of this hidden hot place in a torrance area. I know this place is not new for neighbors and we knew this place provide healthy and tasty foods for many students from schools near by and my son used to asked me to drop Wilson terriyaki or burgers for his lunch when he was junior high student also. Don't let the name deceive you! They are called "Wilson's Burgers", but go for their teriyaki plate! We have been coming here for years and we have always been coming here for the teriyaki. We get the chicken teriyaki plate with rice (pro tip: you can substitute the salad for French fries ) with chilies and grilled onions on top. We give it a 4 out of 5, not because of the food, but because of the PSA below. If that doesn't bother you, then it would be a 5! PSA: it is cash only! Plates are about $12-15, so make sure to have a $20 on you if you're just ordering for yourself.
