Another fantastic coffee. To be honest, it's been a while since I've had time to myself to stop in for a cup. But this remains one of my favorite coffee shops in Sandy. You almost need to know where it is due to it being tucked in the corner of a shopping plaza. But it's definitely worth the time. Today I had a Cortado. It's a pretty simple drink being it's half espresso and half steamed milk. But it has enough milk to take the edge off the espresso and enough espresso not to be drowned out by the milk. No sugar or sweetener, but I'm sure you could add it if you're into that. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. And the shop is always immaculate and has PLENTY of seating. They offer a variety of coffees, teas, and treats. I've yet to have something I've not enjoyed!Added bonus this place roasts their beans on site. I tried a charcoal latte at Bean Yard for the first time the other day and I can honestly say that Bean Yard converted me. If you're looking to try a charcoal latte, I can attest theirs is a good one to check out that you'll like for sure on round one- not too sweet, just right. I normally come here when I'm in the area for a usual coffee/latte, but they also do great tea lattes, mocha and your traditional variety of coffee beverages. They use good quality beans and they brew it well and make good drinks. Nothing is crazy over the moon for me personally but I know this place is absolutely reliable for solid coffee that's brewed well, from high quality beans, and I'm going to be satisfied with anything I get so you can't go wrong. A friend introduced me to this fabulous spot a couple of months ago, and I love it! Sure, they have quality coffees and teas, but that isn't enough to merit my vote; I look for the following qualities in a coffee shop that serves as my home away from home: - Reliable WiFi, - At least one very good food item, - A quiter environment, - A restroom that makes it easy to leave with clean hands (it's amazing how many establishments haven't figured this out, yet) From the moment I walked in, the interior was spacious, inviting, and clean, with various seating options, including an "L" sofa in the corner. The associates are all incredibly friendly and helpful, and I felt right at home. The background music enhances the environment instead of competing with our ability to converse. The other elements were all present, but the real star of the show was the avocado toast - hands down the best I've tried in town. It was perfectly ripe and topped with garlic and rosemary oil, a dash of red pepper, and a mixed seasoning, and I added a hard-boiled egg. The avo toast was also presented very artfully (see pic). The vegan cinnamon roll was very good, it was fluffy, warm, and just sweet enough. The lavender latte was warm, fresh, and definitely a good pick me up. The service was really good, they were quick and efficient. I also got the Nutella croissant to-go and my friend really enjoyed it. This might be the avocado toast that I may compare all other avocado toasts to. In addition to the obviously adorable avocado rose, the oil that they drizzle on top really takes this dish form good to great. What a treat. My daughter had the Lemon Danish which was both terrific presentation and taste. Unfortunately she took a bite before I was able to snap a picture. We stopped by while visiting SLC to ski over my spring break nd I was really impressed with their coffee. The woman who helped me was very helpful and recommended their latte with walnut-fig bitters and honey. I always appreciate it when a coffee shop has unique options and this was definitely unique (and delicious). I got mine iced with oat milk and I'm only sad because I can't get this drink anywhere back home! They had a lot of cool coffee brewing glassware and it looked like they roast their beans in store. Great experience @ Bean Yard thanks to my fellow yelpers & their 5 star reviews! I'd have to totally agree! Definitely not the same burnt flavored coffee offered at the more prolific coffee chains that dot the state at almost every corner. They offer different coffees based on region of origin. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Since it was our first time they walked us through the process and helped us pick our passions. Drinks: I had the Earl Grey Tea with cream. 3 others in our party got the Charcoal Latte (most popular). All really enjoyed the deep flavors & their claim is: it's good for your gut! LOL The others in the group got Vanilla Latte & Mocha Latte. All drinks you can definitely taste the deep flavorful notes in their coffee and teas. As well, non of us felt the need to add a ton of additional sugar or creamer to make it more palatable. All were perfect just they way they were served. (see pics) There is a light menu of avocado toast (delish) and some bakery items. Chocolate Croissant warmed was delightful. The Tomato Basil Egg & Cheese Croissant excellent. BTW- they also offer "day old pastries" on the counter at a great discounted prices too! The store is clean, open and has lots of seating. first time coming here and i'm very disappointed. i got three drinks and two food items. the food was okay but two of the coffees i got were so incredibly bad i even told the barista when i was there about how bad they were. they said it's because of the caramel they make in-house but the coffee itself tasted burnt. they didn't offer to remake the drinks or to make the experience any better. i spent $30 to be disappointed. i love to try new coffee shops when im new in town and i wont ever come back here. very sad read more

Can't comment on the coffee but was at my Physical Therapy appointment next door and was craving some avocado toast. Was warmly greeted when entering and smile on the ladies face when she took my order. Personally this place isn't my favorite for coffee although their baked goods are delicious. Their menus does change seasonally so if you find something you love and go back they may not have it. I will say I loved the banana Choco chip bread. It's kinda weird they don't have white mocha beverages... So I tried caramel and then another time I tried mocha. I am just not a fan.. it's just not quite sweet enough I guess. The mocha tastes weird to me and it's hard to describe but it tastes almost as if their is a spice in it... Well I should've left that idea in my head. You step in this place and you're greeted with someone who looks like they hate their job, and not just the person taking your order but ALL the workers. My drink was done in less than a minute almost as if the espresso was just sitting there from a prior order. **Like other reviews here, it's legitimately milk and prob less than a shot of espresso, I know Utah likes their steamers but I ordered a LATTE! Not milk** lol... Plus a nice touch is the workers talk under their breath about you. And make a big deal for each coffee they're making. As if the beans are coming out of their pocket. While my friend and I were discussing the coffees we may want, one worker started making a drink for us!!! They said "well I already made the drink" and I said I hadn't even paid yet? I didn't decide on that beverage??? What absurd business is this? I heard the worker then say under their breath "well now I have to throw it out." Okay so the reason I was drawn to this place was the interesting macaroon flavors. And we tried to salted black garlic, hibiscus shiso ume and salmon skin miso and they were all so delicious especially the first two! But also their coffee is on point. I had an oat milk latte hot/unsweetened and it was one of the smoothest lattes I had in a long time. My husband got the Escalante and it was so interesting you can taste the rosemary. The avo toast was amazing and my husband liked his tomato, basil, egg croissant. My son had the jammed toast. Found this place thanks for Yelp. Ordered curbside and paid via their website. My coffee tasted a little chalky like the grounds were still in it but it could be because I ordered 2 extra shots in it. Super helpful and nice employees brought the order to the car. Hard to find location, definitely feels like you intentionally have to be going to this place. Such a cute coffee place! Baristas are so sweet and they make wonderful coffee. The only feedback I have is their WiFi wasn't connecting to my work laptop, which had an exclamation point saying weak security. COVID wise, it is very spacious and I think masks are encouraged but not required. Food: I got a nitro cold brew (pictured) and a tomato basil egg croissant. The nitro was super smooth and creamy, absolutely delicious. It was only slightly bitter, but I feel like that is necessary to maintain the integrity of the coffees flavor. The croissant was also very good! Atmosphere: they've got a decent amount of tables and space, and it wasn't loud in here. Good vibe if you wanna catch up with a friend or cram for exams - I think you could do both. Service: staff was super friendly and pretty quick. The roast there own beans in house, you can see the roasting room from the dining room. Their coffee is off the charts, if you have never had a siphon brewed coffee, it is a must!
