Gabriel is the "man". I went to Gabriel a week before my wedding with a unique request. I am a 6'3 280lb dude and I have a large upper body and a smaller waist I wear a 52L Jacket and a 40 Waist. The pants that I bought with my jacket suit was entirely too big. I went to a tailor prior to Gabriel and was told that he wouldn't be able to turn the pants into straight leg pants. I was recommend by a friend to get my suits tailored here. It's wedding season and now that I'm an adult, it's time to get my suits properly fitted. Gabriel does excellent work in that he spends time with each measurement to make sure you will look your best. Many other tailors/alterations will do the most basic measurements. Arms, waist, shoulders, and length. He measured places which I didn't even know existed. Like shoulder blades, lats, "wings," etc. I will be attending many more weddings and be in a few more, and I will highly recommend this place to the groom. read more

I don't provide a lot of reviews and few are 5 stars, but The Bespoke Clothier (Gabriel!) deserves it. He came to my house to take my measurements and see the fit of my suits, then took my suits and worked on them the following week and on a short deadline for trips that I had coming up (wedding, business trips, etc.). He made my new suit, with unforgiving material, fit so well. He also made my other suits finally feel comfortable again so I could get a few more years out of them despite my weekly travels for work. All of this he did with attention to detail, a great attitude and agreed upon quote/budget. I bought a made to measure suit from Gabriel. The fit very nearly perfect and fabric and finishing were phenomenal. When the fabric I originally ordered ran out, I got bumped up to a different but nicer fabric at no extra cost. I had a Brioni $3000 pure escorial jacket hanging in my closet for many years. I bought it on ebay, and it was size 46L. At the time it was too tight, I would only fit into 48L. Since then, about 7 years, I lost 35 pounds and the jacket then became 2 sizes too large. It had never been worn, even by me, and it still had the sleeve buttons in the pocket and would need to be fitted. A month ago I took it in to Gabriel, who welcomed me to his home studio while he was setting up his shop, for measurements. I had very little hope, as the shoulders were 2 inches too wide, the length was much too long, I looked like swimming in it. But he calmly said this is no problem. A couple weeks after taking my measurements, it now fits like it is made for me(!). This is the first time I have actually worn this jacket in the 10 years or so of owning it, and it is the first garment I have ever worn that was fitted to me exactly. I have worn off the rack clothes and had some occasional alterations, but nothing has ever been fitted exactly to me. I can't tell you how great it looks. I paid 350 to have this complete remake of a jacket from Neiman Marcus many years ago for 3000 bucks and is now around 5000, if could even find pure escorial wool. Escorial feels like cashmere, but wears forever. It is extremely rare. The sleeve buttons were put on 'surgeon's style' with real button holes and look perfect, all by hand. I am super-pleased with this work, and thank Gabriel very much for his artistry! read more

I decided to try this shop despite reading a couple of reviews that rated Gabriel poorly. I completely disagree with those reviews; I found him to be polite, accommodating and very professional. He made two pairs of dress slacks for me from a great material and they fit perfectly. I went to his shop for a prelim fitting and then back a week later to pick up the final product. This is long overdue. I have always worn traditional two button suits, have had some tailored suits made, and wanted another. I've taken several previously altered suits and sports coats to him because of minor imperfections in fit, and he was able to diagnose the issues with precision and alter each of them to perfection. Most tailors have the usual waist take-in, cuff-shortening in their arsenal, but Gabriel assesses every seam and every angle to perfect any garment. He hand finishes all the details (bird-foot buttons stitching, hand-sewn button holes, pick stitching by hand at lapels, cuffs, and vents). He did a good job of finishing the job that they started in Bangkok. The suit fits me much better than an off the rack suit. I was looking for a new tailor as I was not very happy with tailors I have worked with in the past. I found Gabriel's website, and liked it's design and the fact that he works from his home, as I had a gorgeous coat I had inherited that needed some expert tailoring, and I hoped I might be able to save a bit since he is not paying for office overhead. I am ecstatic to have found such a skilled tailor. The two other tailors I had taken my coat to told me it would be extremely expensive to tailor as it was leather and fur, and needed to be re-cut. Gabriel did an outstanding job, and I am so happy with my coat. His pricing is more than fair. He also reweaved another camelhair coat I have that I hadn't worn for years due to a couple of moth holes. Gabriel is a true expert, who will make you look like a milllion bucks. First know this. I am a big and tall man. Finding a suit that not only fits me, but that does not make me look like I am "huge" is a very tough thing to do. I took the plunge this year and decided that I wanted a custom made suit. I know that the word "custom" and $$$ go hand in hand. I did my research and looked around the Seattle Area. Prices all seemed to be running equal if not the same. So what makes Gabriel with Bespoke different? The customer service. Basically I told Gabriel what I was looking for and my price range. Not once did he try to offer me an "upgrade" product when he knew I was on a budget. Instead, he offered me all the lines of material that I could work with. Step by step we built my suit. Every time I spoke with Gabriel he assured me that if he makes a suit, he guarantees it will be quality and it would look good. Fast forward to when my suit is ready. It was a handsome suit, but as I shared with Gabriel, "his" style of suit is something that I was not accustomed to. I immediately wanted the suit of old, but as Gabriel pointed it out. This suit is way better than any suit you could ever find at the store. It has been handmade for you and made to make you look good. The fit was very nice. I decided that I wanted to explore adding on some custom made shirts as well. Again, $$$ was a concern of mine, but I decided, big and tall does not = one size fits all. This week, I picked up the shirts. We did pick out 3 different patterns. Honestly, I did not like one of the materials I choose, but hey.. let's see if it grows on me. The other two styles, I can do. Very sharp. So my review? If you are big and tall and tired of the "one size fits all" mentality of the big and tall stores, give Gabriel a chance. Let him show you what he can do for you. If you are not big and tall, well I still recommend Gabriel. He has a wide array of materials and styles that will help you look good.
