Food was ready so fast, I was actually kind of amazed. The pad Thai was really good, and had a decent amount of meat. The. Chicken was kind of on the drier side but I didn't really mind it. I mostly just loved that the noodles weren't too sweet. The coconut soup was my favorite though. It was so creamy and coconutty, the mushrooms soaked up all of that good flavor. And it was just addicting. The panang curry was also really good. The flavors were all there, the rice was cooked really well. But I do wish the consistency of the curry was a bit thicker. read more

There's a lot of warm wood, rattan lamps casting a soft glow, little pockets of cozy seating, and charming touches like individual elephant salt and pepper shakers on every table. Everything is spotless without feeling sterile. Calm, easygoing music plays in the background, setting the perfect relaxed vibe without ever intruding. It's the kind of place that feels made for a date night or a slow meal with friends, where you're actually encouraged to savor every moment. The service was spot-on from start to finish. They seat you quickly, bring menus without a rush, and let you take your time deciding. Once the food arrives, they know to step back and let you enjoy, but they're quick to catch your eye if you need anything. It's the kind of attentive but low-key service that makes you feel taken care of without ever feeling watched. I ordered the drunken noodles with duck and the Thai noodle soup with duck. Both came out plated beautifully -- nothing too fussy, just clean bowls and plates with food that looked as good as it smelled. The soup was fantastic. Brothy, slightly sweet, layered with flavor but still light. It's not spicy by default, which I liked, because you can customize it. They offer three spice levels: mild, hot, or Thai hot. I went somewhere in the middle and it was perfect -- just enough kick without overwhelming the dish. The drunken noodles were everything I wanted: a little smoky from the wok, wide chewy noodles that soaked up all the sauce, tender slices of duck that still had a little crisp to the edges. There was a sweet-savory balance that hit just right -- the sweetness noticeable but not cloying. You also get a spice rack at the table if you want to crank up the heat on your own, which I definitely appreciated since my tolerance is pretty high these days haha. The pacing of the meal was perfect. No feeling of being rushed between courses, no weird long gaps either -- just enough time to relax, sip on water or tea, and look forward to the next plate. By the end of the meal, I was already planning my next visit. Everything about it -- the food, the space, the staff -- felt intentional and inviting. So yet again another lovely dinner meal here at this amazing venue to enjoy with my BFF ( my hubby). I was happily surprised by this impromptu dinner choice as this was hubby's night to pick. I of course needed by papaya salad!!! I ordered the crunctastic fried snapper. Always so golden outside and super meaty inside. A generous portion of perfection. Hubby ordered crispy duck. He loves duck. I am more picky. He begged me to try it because he loved at first bite! I didn't want to mix flavors, but he made it sound so good! Since I couldn't deny that he knew I would like it... I indulged him. And WOW!!! Skin so crispy that it was like fried chicken crunchy!!! And it was not gamey, it was Smokey and Rich!!! Met up with some friends for dinner. I ordered the pad see ew with pork. The noodles were stir fried well with plenty of meat throughout. This is my go to Thai restaurant the food the food is always flavorful and prepared to my specifications. I prefer to order take out due to my allergies to smoke. There is a cigar bar next door and the smells can be overwhelming, but don't let that stop you from eating some of the best Thai food in Jacksonville. The best Thai restaurant! What a name for a restaurant, you would really have to back it up. I will say it's the best Thai restaurant in the gate parkway area as there probably isn't another one on that road. The wife and I got the crab Rangoon, and I was surprise to find real crab meat in it and it was packed with so much flavor. We also got the pad Thai and the panang curry. Pad Thai was great full of flavor, so much you can bring left overs home. My panang curry was really good too. The coconut sauce was very flavorful. Service was great. Server was also running to go orders and didn't miss a beat to serve the people inside. I will say the only bad thing about this place is it's next to a cigar bar. Right away you realize that the smell from next door has gone through the ceiling and vents and into their space. They have air purifiers running to help get rid of the smell. But you can still smell the smoke from next door. I doubt there's a way for them the smell unless they move into another space. But that was my only gripe read more

We went to this place on a whim for my birthday lunch today. WOW. We were very pleasantly surprised! At first we giggled at the name, but it truly lives up to it. Lovely restaurant, easy to find with plenty of parking. Small but cozy interior, around 9 tables total. So they mostly go take out. I'm not sure if ownership changed or they just were never really good. We went a few times before and the curries were good but the proteins were always over cooked and bland. Last time we came here recently, everything was bland and disappointing. The service was terrible. Our table was filled with dirty plates and the server brought more of our order without cleaning what was there. We were cleaning our own table and stacking plates. I have eaten at this restaurant once and gotten something different for carry out . This first time I got a dish with shrimp. The shrimp was swimming in the hot sauce as it should have been but still had the tails!! Tonight my carry out order had chicken and it was not bite sized. It was huge pieces. I have quite a few nitpicks that will make this review read rather negative. I almost went for 3 stars. But overall, the food was not bad. Tofu tom yum was a bit lighter than most other tom yum I've had. At a glance, you could probably be forgiven for thinking it's clear soup. It still had the sour taste, and I still enjoyed it though. Roti bread was fine. Although, I don't like how they listed it under appetizers with a small dip. They have plenty of curry dishes. In my view, their menu should promote ordering roti with a curry entree. If I order a curry dish, I shouldn't even have to specify that I want them to be served together, and it shouldn't come with it's own little extra dip. That makes no sense. This is my fault, but I realized after I got the food that I forgot to specify the spice level. So both the tom yum soup and panang were mild. Well...the waiter didn't ask me, so I guess it's his fault too. Lol. Rice was good. The duck had a nice texture alternating between crispy and soft. It was also a large portion, although that should probably be expected with how much the special costs. Unfortunately, I felt that the panang curry was a tad watery and bland. It was almost more like a broth than a curry....but it can be a very fine line between the two I guess. I think my impression of the blandness was partly due to it being mild, but doesn't justify it. A panang should still be rich and savory, and to me, the umami was not quite where it should be. read more

We were looking for authentic family thai restaurant and saw some reviews and wanted to try it out. It's a very small and tight restaurant and the first impression wasn't that good because of strong smell of cigar and mold so we asked to be seated outside. This place is so underrated, I tried it for the first time a couple weeks ago and its honestly one of the best thai spots in Jax. I love my thai food on the spicier side and this place delivered. Lots of great flavors. My favorite dish was the basil fried rice. Tons of parking right outside. The unfortunate thing about the location is that it's right next to a cigar shop so it tends to smell like smoke inside the restaurant. You can pretty much avoid the smells if you sit outside though. read more

A very Charming little restaurant in a strip mall, right across from IKEA. We had only ordered delivery from here before today and we decided to stop in for lunch, the food was excellent, the service was friendly and quick! Only negative thing I can say is that there is a Cigar Bar next door so when I first walked in I could smell cigars and I was afraid it was in the air conditioning ducts (cigars give me a terrible headache) but after we sat down I noticed they had an air purifier and an air freshener going so it really wasn't bad at all. Incredible food! This place is a must in jacksonville. We had the crab meat fried rice and tried the drunken noodles. The crab meat fried rice was incredible and the drunken noodles were a little subpar so we traded for the pad Thai. Pad Thai was a home run and the spicy kick and sauciness at the end was perfect. I've had this spot saved for a while so finally decided to check it out. First red flag was that the place was completely empty on a Sunday. Not sure why the reviews are so high but the food was not very good. The crab rangoons were really crispy but did not like the filling at all. The teriyaki chicken was super salty, fried rice tasted old and the pad Thai was very oily and not spicy at all even though we ordered medium spice. The shrimp was over cooked and also tasted old. I absolutely love this place! I recommend dining in because of the chill atmosphere and the cute decor. The servers are always very polite and the food is always delicious. If you're a pad Thai fanatic like myself or just love some good fried rice it's 10/10. Recently, I tried the naan appetizer and it was gone in 5 minutes. Very disappointed in this place after all the raving top reviews. I have come to the conclusion that most people have never experienced authentic foreign food and have no true benchmark to judge what is good and authentic. I know many will say that the food is "Americanized ". A certain amount of truth to that in some cuisine. I also believe some people want to experience different foods, because they will never visit places like Thailand. This restaurant is very over rated. It lacked authentic flavors, particularly in the Tom Yum soup and this is a great experience of sweet, sour and spicy. No photo, because it a big disappointment. Pad Thai was very sweet and gooey. Fresh rolls were ok, peanut dipping sauce was was like peanut butter. Very affordable and the service was very good. Well outfitted and comfortable feel about the decor. It is good to try a variety of restaurants so you judge what is really good and not so good. Lastly clean the men's room. read more
