There's so much to see! This shop is located at The Arbor, a neighbor of Shenandoah At The Arbor, a wonderful restaurant! Except for the sign out front, you'd think this was a residence rather than a store! Inside is chock-full of many things! Be careful walking around so you don't tip anything over! Some of the things that caught my eye were the teacups, vintage toys, & fun trinkets. They also sell garden signs, clothing, and cards! When we visited this past Sunday, they were having an Open House. They were offering hot dogs, nachos, sweet treats, and lemonade. Super welcoming and generous of them! I heard nothing for another month and then Michelle called to let me know it had finally arrived at the store AND there was an ottoman. She honored the initial price and was extremely helpful holding the two pieces until I could pick them up. It's rare to find someone who follows through over a months long process and provides such caring support. I highly recommend Michelle and this location.

I've walked away with an epic Dune Monopoly game, mid century modern-style dog bed, and fountain pen/planner set. There's always something new to be found when you visit! Service is always stellar here no matter how busy they get. Sometimes there's a security guard at the door and he always greats you as you're coming in. This HomeGoods also does a good job recognizing customers who make donations during checkout, which I think is a thing worth celebrating! This store is conveniently located in the shops at Rossmoor with plenty of parking and meal choices after you've worked up your appetite walking around. That said, it can get busy so I find it easier to park towards the middle of the plaza. The only drawback (if we can call it that) of this strip mall is that it's nearly a complete dead zone for cell service, let alone internet. So bear that in mind if you enjoy sharing your finds in real time with friends and family!

BTW if I have to pay $50 for shipping, why not send it to my HOUSE instead of making me drive to the shop (45 min from my home)? Turns out Karen didn't order two actual rolls as I requested, because wallpaper makers use imaginary units of "single rolls" (a 1/2 roll) and "double rolls" (a full roll), so I only received one roll. Next I had to return that roll and be charged a "restock fee" so they could re-order two rolls (aka 4 single rolls SMH) from the same dye lot. More waiting. No updates. I call and am told it will now be after MID-MAY before I (might) receive my product!! So I request a refund. They refund me 30% of the $400 I paid and I have ZERO rolls of that wallpaper. They don't even care.

The customer service has typically been friendly and helpful, which is why this visit stood out. After paying for my purchase, I realized none of my items had been bagged. I asked the cashier for a bag after the transaction was complete, and she informed me that bags cost $0.10. I had no issue paying for a bag--I was simply caught off guard because I'm accustomed to being asked during checkout whether I would like to purchase one. Since the transaction had already been completed, I was told it would require a separate purchase. My mother was checking out immediately after me, so she asked the cashier to add the bag to her transaction instead. After placing the bag on the counter and handing my mother her receipt, the cashier began pulling out her cash drawer as if she was closing her register and preparing to leave. At no point did she make any effort to bag either of our purchases. This was especially disappointing because I was shopping with my toddler and my elderly mother. A small gesture of customer service, such as helping bag our items, would have made a significant difference. When I asked to speak with a manager, the cashier stated that she intended to bag our items after getting the change. However, from my perspective, our transaction had already ended, she had handed us our receipts, and she was preparing to leave the register. That explanation did not reflect what had actually occurred. I rarely leave reviews, especially for a store I genuinely enjoy shopping at, but this experience was very different from the level of service I've consistently received over the years. I hope this feedback is taken as an opportunity for coaching so future customers continue to receive the excellent service I've come to expect from HomeGoods.
