Attended on a Sat evening to enjoy The Dirty Muggs and my goodness it gets hot under that tent! Even though I was seated under one of the large ceiling fans, it was basically hot air circulating. The sound system wasn't the best and actually became a bit irritating and as I stepped out from under the fan, instant sweat fest. The tried the espresso Martini cocktail which tasted pretty good for a canned cocktail, but wasn't a good idea with the heat. Lol. My party arrived a little early for our tour so we decided to grab a quick bite to eat. There was no indication to seat yourself/order at register/use QR code... so that was a bit confusing. After asking the waiter that was speeding past us what the proper procedure was, we ordered at the counter and took our number to the table. There wasn't an extensive menu to choose from, just typical 'bar type' food. Do to the lack of time before our tour, we ordered hamburgers and fries. First let me say the fries were to die for! But, the burgers.... OMG! They were burned extra hockey puck style! They were even difficult to bite into. Needless to say, I didn't finish the burger.... I'm also not a fan of beer... but I sure found a new favorite. Kona Big Wave is amazing.... Especially paired with their Mango beer! The wait staff at the Biergarten were phenomenal! This is a really good spot to watch the game. It was not very crowded and the screen is huge. We stopped in and had a beer and watched the Chiefs game. Anheuser Busch is such a staple in the community and I don't think people realize what it's done for St. Louis. read more

What a fantastic lunch at the Budweiser Beer Garden! I loved touring the gift shops, but the food was where it was at! They have a big menu of mostly lunch and bar food. I chose the Pulled Pork sandwich with beer bbq sauce! Even with sides and extra slaw, and a beer, it came to just twenty bucks! The bartender was very nice and helpful. You can also rider at your table or just at the bar. Atmosphere is casual and lots of folks were watching sports on tv. The in house beers are fresh and crisp, and it's awesome to see all the different varieties they own. I'll certainly be back next time and take the brewery tour! read more

What a fun venue for a concert! My friend texted me earlier last week and asked me if I wanted to attend Blues and Brews with her. I didn't know the Biergarten/ brewery held concerts- I was definitely in. We decided to Uber to avoid worrying about parking. Ride share drop off was simple, and we made our way towards the entrance. We scanned our tickets and made our way inside. We were offered a complimentary bud light or a water (which came with the ticket- not your usual offering when visiting on a normal basis). We made our way to where the stage is, and it was set up nicely- lots of ample standing room. People were also allowed to bring chairs in- which would have been nice to have! We walked down the walkway and there were food trucks set up for purchase, which is always nice. The STL Blues were in attendance, and did a Q and A. Tons of blues fans (including myself) as well as Chris Lane fans, which was performing after. There were a couple of spots to get drinks. Lines were long, but there were a lot of people there- comes with the territory. The venue is a great one for outdoor performances, and I would for sure go again if I had the option! Bonus- it's in Soulard so we got to walk to another spot when the concert was done. read more

Service is pretty much non-existent here. No direction on seating when you enter, to start. We found a half-clean table to sit at. You have to scan a QR code to view the menu and put the order in yourself. You also can't build a tab, meaning you have to reload the app each time. No way to ask questions; the servers are really just food runners. Chips were trash, the cheese sauce lacked any flavor and tasted like stuff out of a can, only worse. Good luck getting more of a condiment... The online menu reflects items not available in the app. The one star is for having Mango Cart on tap. That was the only highlight. The list of beers here is basically what you will find at a TGIFriday's or a Bennigan's if those were still around. A lot of lagers...and that's about it. If you want a 'fancy' beer like you know, ANYTHING else. You have to go outside, like it's a shameful secret that Anheuser-Busch owns anything outside of yellow, fizzy water. Actually, they did have their 'Underground Collection' of 'one-off' beers that they only have at the brewery. We have attended a benefit dinner and auction here for the last several years. The event space is spacious and has a great bar area. The drinks are obviously all Anheuser-Busch products but the range available ensures that you can find something you will like. The food we have had is mostly appetizer pub items such as pretzels, pork and beef sliders, chips, toasted raviolis, and salad, served buffet style. They also offer an abbreviated brewery tour for the event. Someday we will go for something other that the benefit auction and dinner, but going once a year as we do, we always look forward to coming here read more

I enjoy coming here in part for the beer, part for the food, but largely because of the space. It has lots of tables and space between tables to feel safe with social distancing. They always have a wide selection of bud products and their craft lines (I get Golden Road Mango Cart and Elysian SpaceDust regularly). Recently, they started hosting trivia on Wed night from 6-8pm. It is a kid friendly event with multiple teams having a toddler or baby at their table (a huge part of why we come, bc we can enjoy trivia night and not have to figure out childcare). My party had just finished the brewery tour and opted to lunch at the Biergarten vs. find a local place to eat (it was a Sunday and Blues City Deli was closed). I looked at the menu and was pleased to see vegetarian options, including a black bean burger and a kale pasta salad. What caught my eye was a charcuterie board. I asked our server if a meatless version could be presented -- either at a lower price or with more cheese than meat. She went to check and returned with the verdict that the because they were sure that the cheese cost more than meat, they didn't know how much more cheese to give me, and because they weren't sure the value of the meat, they didn't know how much less to charge. So no, they couldn't do it. The chef was not working that day, so they couldn't come to a different conclusion. I get it, but I was disappointed that they couldn't come up with some way to give me a cheese plate. You're Anheuser-Busch. The server was nice and brought me refills of my post-tour lemonade, which I appreciated as I do not like beer and did not drink the samples on the tour. Prices are a little high, but you can be like me and get a started as your meal. My kale pasta salad was about $6.99 plus tip and I had leftovers to take home. They use paper to-go containers--so glad they don't use styrofoam! read more

After our Cyldesdales tour we decided to grab some late lunch and I AM SOOOO HAPPY WE DID!!!. 3 of us had the biergarden burger with bacon and they were absolutely delicious!! I also got fries with mine. I don't know what kind of seasoning they put on their fries, but you should def get them . I had to keep smacking my husband's hand so he would stop stealing mine, lol. My husband was the oddball and ordered the pulled pork sandwich with potato salad. He liked them both but just wished their wasn't so much bbq sauce on it. He said he could barely taste the pork due to the massive amount of bbq sauce. Now, the potato salad on the other end was . He said it was the best he had ever had. The service was also perfect. They got our order completely right and didn't forget the extra sauces, which usually always happens everywhere else we go. Plus we waited for less then ten minutes. After touring the brewery, you get to sample some of the beers. And, you can get lunch in the Budweiser Biergarten. We chose to eat lunch there. I highly recommend the pork sandwich. Being from Memphis , I know what good BBQ is and St. Louis does not even enter my mind as a city that worships, praises, and respects that oh-so-sweet meat named pork shoulder as cities such as Memphis, Kansas City or Austin do. However, the sandwich was damn good. My son had the bratwurst and fries. He loved it. How can you go wrong with bratwurst? ! The ONLY reason I gave it 4 stars was that when I got my tasty BBQ sandwich was that it was kind of greasy,,,definitely now what you want to see on a top-rate BBQ sandwich. I visited the Biergarten STL a few weeks ago and had a very pleasant experience. We arrived around 6 and were greeted by the hostess and she walked us back to a table for 2. Shortly afterwards our server came over to greet us and she explained the beer/food menus. She said that they didn't have a full kitchen yet, but that food was being grilled and we could order up at the counter. The beer menu had a ton of choices, but I knew what I wanted to try. I needed a flight of the wheat beers. She explained to me that they were out of one of the beers from the flight, but they could substitute in another one instead and she suggested pumpkin! SOLD! I couldn't believe it was already pumpkin beer time. We decided to try some of the grilled items as well. I ordered the Bud Light Lime Chicken Sandwich and an order of pretzels and my date ordered a brat (I think). The food was grilled and ready by the time I was ready for my 2nd round of beer. The weather was really great the night we went and the atmosphere was pretty relaxed. I really like the way they decorated; and the furniture is really comfy! Overall, I enjoyed my visit and can't wait to go back. Quickly placed the order to the friendly waitress, I didn't want to be late to the tour. School House Chicken Wrap was what I ordered, & I opted for a house made chips. Delicious fresh burst of flavours neatly wrapped around well cooked chicken pieces, & the layers of cheese, lettuce, & tomatoes. Right potion, near size, priced right, topped with excellent service. I must mention, like Ved the sweet potato fries on the side, one of the best I have ever had in recent times. Stopped by here last night with my boyfriend and it was the perfect late lunch spot!! We got there in time for one of the Clydesdales yo have a photo opp. Then we wanted some food- got greeted by Jennifer in the Biergarten! Very knowledgeable with the beers on tap and very funny. She recommend the potato soup, the chili, and a salad (forget which one)...we ordered all 3 and could not be happier! Very filling and loved the cheap flight price ($6 for 4). When you think of STL, you think of AB. So naturally, a trip to the Anheuser-Busch brewery and biergarten are top on the list of traditional touristy things-to-do. I have to admit, I'm not a huge fan of the AB beers, but I am a true fan of free things (like the tour and the tastings!) and I am a fan of when-in-Rome type experiences. The biergarten hits all the traditional marks of what you think of when you think of a biergarten - large open landscape, high ceilings, open walls in the summertime, lots of seating, and beer. However, it just misses the mark for me a tiny bit. The food is just average (but c'mon, that's not what you're coming here for anyway); and the service is very nice but very slow. It's probably because they are hit again and again with waves of tourists coming out from tour after tour on the hour flooding the area. The upside is that you can create your own flight, or sample one of the recommended ones. There are tons of options of beers, but they're all on the very light pilsner side of the spectrum. For whatever reason, they do taste better when served directly from the source - a bit cleaner and fresher if you'd ask me. Pair them with the big pretzel, and you've got a solid spot for food and drinks. If you've never been to STL, definitely stop here as part of the tour of the city! read more
