They have a lot of seating, and I don't usually see people waiting to be seated by the time we leave around 9 a.m. I think they have some of the best tasting pancakes out of anywhere in town. With that said, my typical order is a pancake or waffle platter with eggs, bacon and loaded hash browns. The servers are always really nice and do a great job. read more

Our waitress was very friendly and provided good service. I ordered the country fried chicken with eggs. I had the gravy put on the side since I don't eat pork. The chicken was very well seasoned! It was just a little on the dry side. The biscuit was a little dry as well. With it's name, you want that to be something that is in high regards. My husband liked his food as well. Growing up in KC, I have been to almost all the Big Biscuits in the metro area. We got a reservation on a Sunday morning and were seated immediately. Our waitress was so nice and sweet. I was excited to try their new breakfast sandwich which was great and my boyfriend enjoyed his meal as always. The manager stopped by and was so sweet as well. My wife and I visited on a Saturday morning and were seated immediately. The place is very spacious, almost as if it was a sports bar with lots of TV's hanging on the walls. The endless hot coffee was a great perk. My wife was eager to try their biscuits and gravy, while I was in the mood for something traditional. We were both happy to find exactly what we wanted on the menu. I ordered waffles with two eggs cooked to my liking, sausage patties, and a choice of grits or potatoes. The Westport location is spacious, tall ceilings and can accommodate large parties with ease. They now have 28 locations, 14 in Missouri, 14 in neighboring States, owned and operated local. Yes there biscuits are big, flaky and so good with butter or their very good sausage gravy. For our Yelp event a pumpkin pancake was the starter and sooo good, light in pumpkin perfectly spiced. For breakfast I indulged with the Rocky Mountain Scram-bowl eggs smoked ham green papers onions potatoes and cheddar cheese! You can tell the team at The Big Biscuit were so excited to host us and the Yelp Elites were equally excited to be there. Most of the group seemed to have been there before, but this was first visit to any of their locations. Obviously not my last, since I've already been back!! The offerings was a great sampling of their menu. Starter was the seasonal pancake (pumpkin) and then I ordered one of the western sodas! The waitstaff offered up her favorite: The Stallion (Dr. Pepper, Coconut cream and Lime) and I was immediately hooked!!! Always take the advice of the staff, they know what's best. Then for my main I tried the Rocky Mountain Scramble. It was a like a Denver Omelette with the addition of Breakfast Potatoes! Delicious and Super filling, it's 3 eggs. It also comes with a biscuit. Finally, dessert was served: Sticky Biscuit (it's their signature biscuit covered in cinnamon sugar syrup of a sticky bun) and Strawberry Shortcake Bonuts (beignets and donuts covered with thick whipped cream and fresh strawberries). the first thing we noticed was the lively atmosphere and warm welcome we received as we walked in. we were directed to the bar for our take out order and given plenty of time to decide as this was our first visit. we ordered the Sticky Biscuit, Strawberry Shortcake Bonut, and Southern Sunrise French Toast. the french toast was the best of the three. the sticky biscuit was a great spin on the cinnamon roll, but a little dry on the inside. could be better with some cinnamon filling, or at least if the dough a tad more moist and not as dry. the shortcake bonut was deep-fried, nice and crunchy on the outside, and gooey on the inside, but not unpleasantly so. we also had the orange creamsicle western soda, which was delicious. all together we spent about $35 not including the tip. the Big Biscuit didn't blow our hair back, but they are definitely worth a try, and surprisingly affordable! that being said, we do look forward to returning and trying other dishes outside of the sweet breakfasts. read more

I am going to start my review with everything my family ate here this morning was Ah-Mazing!!!! I had the waffle platter with sausage patty's, scrambled eggs and grits. The sausage is hand patties and cooked perfectly. The grits were very good consistency and not soupy or lumps. My Belgian waffles were golden brown with powdered sugar. . My wife had their biscuits and you could tell they were made in site. Fluffy and golden brown. She absolutely loves the biscuits. My daughter said the chicken sandwich was awesome sauce so that is what I will be trying in our next visit. Our server, Georgeanna was awesome as well.
