Food and service are always great! It is a chain but the employees are the best! Food is always good.

I've been to a few Big Biscuit locations around KC, and I'm usually happy with my experience. I appreciate that they leave a carafe of coffee if you order it so you can top yourself off. I got the Chicken and Waffles at this location, which I've also gotten at other locations. Last time I got it, at a different location, I was thrilled at how juicy and well-seasoned the chicken was, so I was a little disappointed that this one was both blander and dryer. Not bad, just worse. The hash browns were a good level of crispy, though. The three others I was with were happy with their food, too. read more

On a two week road trip through the Mid-West this past summer, we happened to be in Kansas City on Father's Day and the Big Biscuit was the best choice close to our hotel and seeing I'm a fan of biscuit, dare I say, a big biscuit fan? We decided to eat breakfast here. It was fairly early in the morning and there weren't all that many people there so we were sat pretty promptly and the woman who sat us also ended up being our server. She was very kind, personable, and did a great job throughout the course of our breakfast to check in with us and make sure we were well attended to. I ordered the biscuits which were good biscuits, but with the name "The Big Biscuit" I had expectations that the biscuits were going to be out of this world in fluffiness and butteriness and even in size, but honestly, I could get these biscuits anywhere. Though they were good so please don't see this as a bad place to get biscuits. I just had higher expectations. My kids weren't super impressed with their meals though. They ate enough of it, but didn't rave about how great their food was like in many restaurants we visited throughout the trip, but ate the food unlike many restaurants throughout the trip (sheesh!) This restaurant is located in a strip mall and has plenty of parking. The interior makes it feel like a Denny's type diner so I'd recommend finding a better way to decorate to make it more appealing. If it's a chain, then that's a note for corporate! I wouldn't be opposed to coming here again for a breakfast, but wouldn't gush about it and tell everyone I know they NEED to come here. read more

We really enjoy this place for a bite in the morning. They have a wait list you can join and we've never waited more then five minutes after arriving. They get busy and I think are a bit short staffed like everyone else, but they work hard, the food is hot and fresh and it's one of our go-tos when we don't have an hour she's a half to wait for snooze out other local places. Food gets a 4. I had the Titanic omelette which is covered with biscuits and gravy and is always good. We were there on a Tuesday and the place was empty and we had three people wait on our table because our waiter was so busy. When our actual waiter came up, he looked like his uniform hadn't been washed in days. We had to ask for a refill on water when we got our check. Not sure why everyone was so busy when there wasn't 10 people in the place. read more

Came in today with a party of 20. Called in advance and got on their waitlist.... We were told we may still have to wait. Most their servers are on point but i personally always make sure I get Kendra when she's working. She is the best server ever with more energy than I could even fathom having. She's amazing. I like that this store is always kept clean other than the bathroom always smells like sewer gas. Wish management would get that problem fixed. This location never disappoints. read more

Husband and I go to this Big Biscuit at least 1-2 times a month. We absolutely love it. The service is always great and the food is even better! Mark at the host stand always greets us with a big smile and makes us feel welcome. Their pancakes are the tastiest fluffiest pancakes I've ever had! I cannot recommend this place enough! read more

Is it possible to leave zero stars? Big Biscuit used to be our favorite breakfast restaurant. Never going back. Walked in behind a group of 8, restaurant 3/4 empty. The host, named Mark, took their name and disappeared. Came back several minutes later and sat the group. We stood by the host stand for over 15 minutes. At one point a server came over and asked how many in our party (3) and asked if we wanted a booth or table. She was told, by Mark, she was not allowed to seat us. When he finally came back he took a group that came in 10 minutes after us that signed in on a kiosk. Didn't seem necessary when we were the only ones waiting and clearly were standing by the stand waiting for him to do his job. Sad a place like this has gone so far downhill. Certainly need a new person greeting your customers. read more

Loved the biscuits here! There was a bit of a wait to get in (pre pandemic) but the food came out hot and tasty. I had the big breakfast with a side of the biscuits here and definitely enjoyed the meal. The service was friendly too, although it did take quite a while for our meal to come out. Very bad service. We walked in this morning, and were told there was a 15 minute wait for 2 (no biggie) or we could be waited on immediately if we sat outside. Even though it was chilly, we sat outside. However, we ended up waiting for about 15 minutes outside after being seated without anyone greeting us, bringing water, or offering us coffee. Since it was chilly we were really hoping someone would bring us coffee and take our orders. There were two waitresses outside helping another table, who got multiple interactions while the waitresses continued to ignore us. Finally after waiting in the cold for 15 minutes, we went inside, informed the host that we had waited with no service, and left. We're now at first watch, already seated and about to get coffee. There are tons of breakfast places in the area- do not go to the Big Biscuit if they're at all busy. read more

It should not take 35 plus minutes to get your breakfast order. Completely inattentive server who charged our breakfast using another customer's card and vice versa. Took another 20 minutes to get that fixed. The breakfast has always been good at Big Biscuit but after two bad recent experiences, we won't be back to the Antioch Overland Park, KS location. read more

We went to this Big Biscuit on Sunday. It has a new manager, Haley ,and he has made so very poor changes . I ordered the pancake platter, and my husband ordered the veggie scramble. He was shorted an egg and the ones he did get where over cooked. He was also missing his toast. I received my platter with the pancakes. Bottom one was burnt. They were so thin it was like a crape. I know that if they don't raise that, they are watering down the batter. They remade, and those as well came out very thin. The quality of the food it horrible now. This is the second time we have been in since the new manager took over, and both times we have had horrible food. The servers are awesome. Mark the asissnt manager, and it was wonderful trying to fix the problem. We have been coming to this restaurant for years. We have never had problems like this. Reason for 3 stars. This is your run of the mill Cysco type breakfast food served in huge portions - quantity over quality. My biggest dislike was my chicken breast that was served with my chicken and waffles. Google the term "woody breast". This is a condition of chicken breast where the muscle fibers tighten and become hardened because of growing too fast and too large in a short period of time. It's "not confirmed dangerous" to our health but makes for a uncomfortable eating experience especially when you know why the breast is stringy and tough. These are chickens that come from the massive factory farms that only have 1 thing in mind, profit, which includes terrible living conditions for the birds I'll pass on any chicken being used at The Big Biscuit from now on. read more

Offering multiple locations in KC only, Big Biscuit brings all the typical breakfast dishes, everything tasting good, but pretty basic. Went with a group of people today and started with a couple orders of Bonuts. Would recommend these if wanting to start with something sweet. This is like a 1/2" thick warm donut shaped like a pancake with powdered sugar. I got the Alamo which their breakfast burrito and advertised as "Enormous". Based on the size of everyone else dishes that came out it looked pretty standard, but was still filling. All dishes overall come with a lot of food, so you shouldn't leave hungry. Their coffee is pretty "bleh", wish they could partner with a local roasterie or reteach folks on how to brew. Service at this location today was mediocre. Food arrived in good time, but not much for follow up or coffee/water refills. read more

It wasn't busy when we went to grab breakfast early, but around 9ish many folks start to show up. Service was quick, server was prompt to take orders and gave us what we need. Breakfast was good. We all enjoyed it. Definitely will be back for some delicious breakfast soon. read more

My husband and I loved this place. We went in on Wednesday morning around 9am and it was really quiet not busy at all. The restaurant was clean, bright, and open. The staff were extremely friendly and they seated us right away. My husband ordered the Cowboy. It's a huge biscuit topped with chicken fried steak, eggs, and gravy on top and a side of hasbrowns. It was soooo good! The biscuit was fluffy all over. The chicken fried steak was well seasoned and fried to perfection. The gravy was just right. Not too salty and not too bland. I ordered the chicken and waffles. The waffle was delicious. It was soft and cooked perfectly. I have no idea what they put on the chicken but it was full of flavor. It was moist with a little crunch. They had to use a dry rub. read more

This Big Biscuit location is just okay. ATMOSPHERE: This BB is easily accessible from the main road. The internal layout is akin to other locations with ample seating and a bright, spacious look. SERVICE: Disappointing. It took a while just to get our drink orders and then equally as long to order food. When our food did come out it had to be delivered in shifts as it all wasn't ready simultaneously. My breakfast was missing a bacon strip, and the eggs were over medium despite having requested over easy. Attention to detail is important, and both the kitchen and the server bear responsibility in ensuring an order is correct. FOOD: Overall, the food here is fine. It's consistent with other BB locations. VALUE: I don't feel ripped off when I eat at a Big Biscuit, but I also don't feel like I got a lot for my money either. Prices have been raised in the past several months, and I get the impression BB is trying to be like The Shack or Eggtc without bringing the commensurate service and food quality. read more

Really big portion sizes and very good brunch food. The French toast combo I got came with potatoes, bacon, and eggs, which was all good. I would definitely go back for a laidback brunch. The food here is great. I'll start with that. The food also came out pretty quick. And checking in on yelp cut down on the wait time dramatically. The bad part was the service. The host was rude and sarcastic and the server seemed like he would rather be anywhere else. We ended up spilling some syrup on the table and had to go ask the person tending the bar there for some towels and wet rags. We cleaned the mess ourselves while a staff watched and made sarcastic comments about the spill. We apologized profusely for the mess and had asked our server for some extra napkins. He walked by the table while we were cleaning several times with the napkins but didn't hand us the napkins until the mess was completely cleaned. My fiancé and I had a free morning, so we decided to go out for breakfast as a little "treat yourself". The Big Biscuit seemed to fit the criteria of what we were looking for so we decided to check it out. The look of the restaurant is very cute. I especially like the light up marquee sign. Also, the place wasn't too terribly busy. We were seated promptly and our waiter greeted us fairly quickly, as well. We each ordered a coffee, he ordered blueberry pancakes, and I ordered scrambled eggs (add cheddar) with a biscuit and breakfast potatoes. The coffee was decent enough, just typical diner style coffee. My guy said the blueberry pancakes were good. Nothing to write home about, but good. The scrambled eggs and biscuit were ok. The breakfast/home fries were actually kind of cold like they might have been sitting around for awhile. I had to add salt to everything because it was all fairly bland. In the end, everything was just ok....nothing very memorable. The service was good, but the food is lacking. We probably won't be back. read more

Went there with my mother for Mother's Day. Horrible customer service. I put my coffee at the end of the table to get a refill and I had to call her from her chat group to get a refill. Also put my glass at the end of the table. Again had to call her to come and get a refill. Putting your drinkware at the end of the table tells them to get refills not here. I have been to the zona Rosa location I did not like it.. This was the prairie village Kansas location Will I go back. And my boyfriend went to Blue springs and he didn't like it. The sausage I had look like it had been sitting for a long time. I asked for sugar-free syrup for my pancakes They gave me a partial bottle which I had to ask for more to put on my pancakes that were the size of a plate I do not recommend this place at all read more
