My husband and I tried this location out for the first time and was very pleased in general. The restaurant is clean and modern. We were almost immediately seated and had a half booth with chairs opposite. The booth seating was comfortable. We both decided on sandwich entrees. I loved my turkey bacon avocado sandwich on gluten free toast with a side lemon vinaigrette dressed green salad. They were both excellent. My husband had the roast beef sandwich and he said it was excellent as well. Unfortunately, he ordered broccoli cheese soup as his side and he said that was not good. The service was good as well. We will definitely be going back.

I love love love this salad the pecan honey mustard is the best one ever & the service was great . Our waitress forgot an iced coffee but she gave it to us for free at the end. Always a good place for a girls brunch.

The food was really good! Would definitely recommend the million dollar potatoes they are very flavorful and delicious! Service was on point. Was a very pleasant experience.

    Doughy, undercooked French toast.

Not their best location at all, honestly probably their worst and we have been to almost all of them in the KC Metro. Food was either overcooked, undercooked or if you are really lucky it came with a big black hair in it. Service is terrible, waited almost 10 minutes before our server came and greeted us, she wasn't very friendly at all. When we sent our food back because the power bowl was overcooked the egg was brown and the quinoa was mushy she just said "ok cool" and walked away. No apologies, no offer of getting a new meal, manager nothing. Just an "oh cool" and walked away. Took 20+ minutes for our food to come out after we ordered. This is not the standard for First Watch at all. If you want a good First Watch with good service and food go to Olathe on 119th and Strange Line. I do not recommend the 95th location at all.

I ordered the Homemade Chicken Pot Pie, and while it was okay, it really lacked flavor. It wasn't bad, but it definitely wasn't memorable. My daughter ordered the fish and chips with the loaded fries upgrade. She said the fish wasn't very good, which surprised me because she absolutely loves fish and almost never complains about it. She was hungry enough to eat it, but it definitely wasn't something she'd order again. As for the loaded fries, paying an extra $1.50 wasn't worth it. There were barely any toppings, so they were still dry and didn't really feel "loaded" at all. Overall, the meal was just mediocre. Nothing was terrible, but nothing stood out either, especially for the price. I might give Cheddar's another chance and try something different, but after this experience, it's not somewhere I'd go out of my way to eat or find myself craving. There are plenty of other places I'd choose before coming back.

I like the fish tank off the front lobby. One thing Ive noticed is waiting area of most restaurants. They are not equipped for large quantities of people and the overflow into the dining area. We waited about 5 -8 mins to be seated. They were pretty busy. Imanni was our server and she was fantastic. We didn't wait long before she took our order: 2 strawberry lemonades, 5 ox Bourbon Salmon & shrimp with broccoli casserole and baked potato; Single Fried Chicken on texas toast, mashed potatoes & country gravy and green beans. I did have to ask if the mashed potatoes were real or instant too. Now DO NOT SKIP the crescent rolls and that honey butter. OH MY GOODNESS... they came out warm with plenty of butter. No, I did not lick the paper! Our food came out in timely fashion, not soon after we finished each of our crescent roll. We both thoroughly enjoyed our choice. The fried chicken & gravy was flavorful as was the green beans. I might go back to try something different. Overall, the crescent rolls won me over!

Easy to find off of 87th, the space is not huge, but there's plenty of seating, especially at the bar. Burger night (Mondays?) is $2 off the specialty burgers, and I recommend that Diablo Burger if you like a little heat. Sliced jalapeños & pineapple atop a 1/2 lb. burger with a sweet heat sauce, this burger will hit just right. Service is friendly and fast and the prices are right on par with the market. You can get in and out with a couple of burgers and a couple of drinks during special time for around $45 and that's a pretty good deal with a better value to boot. If you have a kid at SM West, then you might make this a pre-game event spot or a place to have refreshments afterwards. Great spot!

It's a lovely restaurant. It seems a bit out of the way with mostly corporate buildings around. The restaurant has a nice modern aesthetic. I like the purple hyacinths hanging from the ceiling in one area. It was very steady for an off time in the afternoon. First, our server Olivia was amazing! Very attentive and we were extra needy this day so I really appreciate her patience. We even dropped food on the floor. Oops! She was so nice about it and cleaned it up immediately. We had customizations and extra requests. No problem for her! She went above and beyond. I hope she sees this because she was such a joy! The food was also very good. We started with the biscuits and one peach compote and one blueberry. Both were yummy. They were traditional drop biscuits and I love a good biscuit! We also had an order of fried green tomatoes on goat cheese grits. You get 4 very large slices. I could only eat one. The grits were yummy but there were not enough of them in relation to the friend green tomatoes. They were also encased by a sauce. I'm guessing a remoulade. I don't really care for remoulade sauce so I'd have removed it had I known it came with the dish. It really overpowered the goat cheese taste in the grits. The tomatoes were very al dente and I would have preferred them cooked a bit more. The dish was still good but my least favorite and I would normally love anything with those ingredients and fried green tomatoes are a favorite so the remoulade (or whatever it was) sauce was a real problem for me. I would definitely get them again without the sauce because they are great otherwise. But that sauce just overpowers every other flavor! I got the chicken tender dinner and others in my party got the bone in fried chicken. Everyone liked their chicken. The tenders were a big size. 4 of them but I hit 2 meals out of them. Everyone liked the Parmesan rosemary potatoes. I really liked the bacon green beans. The only side we weren't impressed with was the Mac and cheese unfortunately. The cheese was not good. We got coffees and a chai. All of them were very good. A bit pricey for the amount you get though. Even with the smaller complaints, I'd still give th a 5 because of the outstanding service and the dishes were overall very good and large portions. We will definitely return and I hope to try out a breakfast item next visit!

Parking was ample outside and we came in right about dinner time. We were sat immediately and I soon had a nice red beer. The cheese burgers were the special, so I opted for one of those with fries + the "my girlfriend isn't hungry" add of a couple chicken strips and some extra fries. The burger was perfect, but I've gotta say...for being a place called *Burg* and Barrel, their chicken strips are the best. They're juicy, the breading is fantastic, and they're always just really high quality. We came in while they were starting the trivia night deal, which I couldn't care less about, but if that's something you're a fan of...it's a thing here. Box sizes and to-go orders don't really have a good presentation or fit with the amount of food you normally get while dining in at the restaurant. But Burg and Barrel has it down. Everything travels very well. And they are good at ensuring they have the right boxes for the right items. Venting in place to keep the fries (or tots) from steaming up and getting soggy. Boxes that are big enough for the full sandwich and a full order of fries. Snagged a beer while I waited and didn't even make it all the way through before the bartender showed up with our to-go order. They premix their cocktails and he was happy to let me try a sip of the ones that interested me. Speaking of.... They're quite ingenious! While cucumber flavor in a drink is hardly revolutionary, red bell pepper IS- and you can taste it! None of them were to my particular liking, but to be honest, I am a bit of a picky eater. He had great patience with me on modifications to my burger- and, again, remembered that I didn't want the sauce. This is honestly a cool little place with a super chill vibe.
