Not my first time at First watch chain for a breakfast but surely a first time at this particular location. Was looking for a good protein rich breakfast after a big hike this morning & It never goes wrong here! I got Avocado toast , Pork sausage and eggs & my friend got omelette, potatoes & a toast. I personally liked everything about my breakfast especially the whole grain artisan toast with freshly smashed avocado. Yummmm :) It took about 10 minutes for someone to address our table. Other than that, everything went well. Lots of parking available outside.

My husband and I tried this location out for the first time and was very pleased in general. The restaurant is clean and modern. We were almost immediately seated and had a half booth with chairs opposite. The booth seating was comfortable. We both decided on sandwich entrees. I loved my turkey bacon avocado sandwich on gluten free toast with a side lemon vinaigrette dressed green salad. They were both excellent. My husband had the roast beef sandwich and he said it was excellent as well. Unfortunately, he ordered broccoli cheese soup as his side and he said that was not good. The service was good as well. We will definitely be going back.

I love love love this salad the pecan honey mustard is the best one ever & the service was great . Our waitress forgot an iced coffee but she gave it to us for free at the end. Always a good place for a girls brunch.

The food was really good! Would definitely recommend the million dollar potatoes they are very flavorful and delicious! Service was on point. Was a very pleasant experience.

    Doughy, undercooked French toast.

Not their best location at all, honestly probably their worst and we have been to almost all of them in the KC Metro. Food was either overcooked, undercooked or if you are really lucky it came with a big black hair in it. Service is terrible, waited almost 10 minutes before our server came and greeted us, she wasn't very friendly at all. When we sent our food back because the power bowl was overcooked the egg was brown and the quinoa was mushy she just said "ok cool" and walked away. No apologies, no offer of getting a new meal, manager nothing. Just an "oh cool" and walked away. Took 20+ minutes for our food to come out after we ordered. This is not the standard for First Watch at all. If you want a good First Watch with good service and food go to Olathe on 119th and Strange Line. I do not recommend the 95th location at all.

Three strikes and you're out. We've been here three times and the food served has ranged from lukewarm to cold.

Two dishes in, both winners. The ancho woodfired chicken salad -- charred corn, black beans,…read morecotija, crisp tortilla strips, chipotle-honey vinaigrette -- had the right balance of smoky, sweet, and crunchy, and the chicken itself was cooked perfectly. The other standout was the raspberry coconut chicken: crispy coconut-breaded tenders draped in a raspberry coulis with toasted almonds on top, sitting over a creamy slaw. Sweet and savory done right, though heads up if you're dairy-sensitive -- that slaw is loaded. Portions are generous, flavors are bold without being over the top, and everything tasted made-to-order rather than assembly-line. Will definitely be back to work through the rest of the menu. Also, the service was outstanding and it was a really clean ambience so if you've never been here.

Eventually the get us seated in the main area. My wife ordered mashed potatoes and green beans as sides, and the mashed potatoes were cold. They took those back to fix, so we each tried some of her green beans. We both looked at each other in shock and said "These taste like fish!" Plus they were cold, so cold fish green beans. So when they brought out the warmed mashed potatoes we mentioned that, and they grabbed those to fix up, and asked us to check our steak. They were supposed to be medium, but were rare. So they took the steaks and my fries (the only thing edible so far). After 10 minutes the steaks were back, and looked good, along with a new order of the green beans, and we each got a replacement flame singed sliver of bread. So we taste the green beans, and now they taste like warm fish. So we got the manager again and I asked if they ever taste any of this stuff, and she didn't really know what to say. She said they'd take it off our bill, and we could have a free desert. Okay so back to the steaks, which were cooked right but too salty now. And that's when I realized they never brought back my fries. So we flag them down again, and eventually get the fries, which are good. The desert menu is a bunch of uninteresting goo, but we settle on something and get it to go. I pay the bill, tip 20%, and we get the heck out. Later we realize that they had accidentally added another steak entree to out order, then credited it off, just like the green beans and "free" desert, but their little machine calcutes the tip off the total before credits, so I actually payed a 50% tip. Unreal.

There was a 'Happy Anniversary' card on our table signed by the staff, such a nice touch! Our waitress greeted us warmly and wished us happy anniversary and told us that for celebrating with them we'd receive a special dessert or a champagne toast. Another lovely surprise. We ordered cocktails and enjoyed their delicious bread service of freshly baked popovers. For dinner I had their Catch of the Day, Black Cod, wrapped in speck, served with saffron couscous. It could not have been more delicious. My husband enjoyed their Three Way Chicken, a dish so plentiful he took one piece home with him. We were both so pleased with our meals we didn't want to eat to excess, so our server offered to send our dessert home with us. The service, ambience and food were all wonderful. So glad we selected Silo as our place to celebrate!

We hit the club for brunch with a group, and while the ambiance was pure "Country Club Chic," the execution was a bit more "Sunday Morning Sand Trap." The Liquid Courage I started off my round with two drinks. the Bloody Mary. It was fine--tasty enough, but it certainly didn't change my life or inspire any poetry. However, things got interesting with their Tequila/Cold Brew/Liquor 43 concoction. Topped with an egg foam cap, it was actually pretty solid. A bit of a gamble, but sometimes you have to roll the dice when the menu is trying that hard. The Culinary "Hit and Miss" Then came the food, or as I like to call it: The Great Consistency Crisis. The Steak: I asked for medium-rare; I received medium-well with a "char" that felt more like a personal vendetta against the cow. The Potatoes: Apparently, potato portions are determined by a lottery system. I received about half the amount of the person next to me. Maybe I didn't look hungry enough? The Eggs: My over-easy eggs had crispy, hard edges and arrived at a temperature I'd describe as "lukewarm at best." We also had to hunt down salt and pepper like we were on a scavenger hunt. Honestly, I probably should have just hit the buffet and cut out the middleman. The Service Our server was perfectly nice, but he appeared to be roughly twelve years old. Since he wasn't legally old enough to understand the complexity of a craft cocktail, he couldn't give us any info on the drink menu. We just had to "go with our gut"--which is a dangerous game when tequila and cold brew are involved. The Verdict I'm not saying I won't be back, but consider this a fair warning: if Round 2 involves another charred steak and a side of "room temperature" eggs, I'll be sending it back for a rerun faster than a shanked drive into the woods. 3/5 Stars -- Great for people-watching, questionable for potato-equity.

They absolutely have the processes of this little restaurant honed to perfection, and even during a busy lunch time kept things humming so that there was minimal wait time (to order, for the food to be brought out, and to pay for our meal). Many, MANY thanks to Robert, who seated us, took our order, brought our food out, and settled our bill. He was friendly, efficient, and so welcoming. It was a joy to watch him work; he made sure to greet each and every customer coming in the door, and was consistently so upbeat and positive. And many, MANY thanks to Tony at the grill! Our food was FANTASTIC!! I have high standards for Mediterranean food, and the falafel wrap was totally delicious! The falafel itself was perfectly cooked, with a crispy outer layer, and the other ingredients in the wrap were chosen for a perfect melding of flavors. I had the side salad, with homemade Thai peanut dressing, and it was equally tasty. My husband had the patty melt, which came on homemade bread (!) and was, per his report, perfectly done. His side was tater tots, and we shared them. They were crisp and light without being greasy, and addictively yummy! The restaurant is in a strip center; it's not very big, but the tables are well placed so that no one feels cramped. The open reception area and kitchen/grill make it easy for the staff to respond to what's happening in the dining room (e.g., new folks arriving). It was a truly memorable meal, and we'll definitely be back! Again, MANY thanks to Robert and Tony for such a great lunch. We appreciate you!
