Just meh! We got a table right away on a Sunday morning around 7:20. Service was quick. Wasted quite a bit of money on our overall experience. The featured coffee was disgusting. My teen said it tasted like BBQ sauce and my wife agreed. I couldn't really put my finger on it but it was a huge waste, server didn't even notice that we practically left it untouched. Breakfast sandwich and biscuits and gravy weren't anything to rave about, I actually make a better breakfast sandwich at home. My teenager liked the trifecta and the holey donuts. We haven't been to any of the Firstwatch locations in quite some time and I feel like this visit reminded me why, it just isn't anything special; especially for the amount of money we spent. read more

Quality food and great service. I love to eat breakfast there. Many different choices.

They need to teach the cooks how to cook eggs. My wife ordered over medium eggs, they came out beyond over well, so hard that she could pick the entire thing up without it falling apart. I ordered over easy and also came out o er well. The second round of eggs came out over well again for my wife and mine were barely cooked, still had clear liquid. Food has always been so-so and overpriced. Server looked scared the two times she came to the table. Didn't see any management presence throughout the dining room either. Won't be back. read more

First Watch has done a great job with this location. While the parking isn't the most ideal, there's plenty of you expand your search to the East of the building. While my family isn't the biggest of constant mask users, it was nice seeing an entire staff wearing a mask still during all of this. It's the first place we've been to in a while with everyone on board with masks. Onto the food. Delicious. We tried some of their seasonal dishes with the cinnamon chip pancakes, their million dollar sandwich, and the pecan cinnamon caramel roll. I will say that all 3 hit the spot. I had the sandwich, and they said it has a bit of a kick, but for me it was pretty tame. Great flavor though. The pancake and roll, very sweet and delicious. I enjoyed the featured item, Cauli-rizo Tacos, which included 3 generous tacos stuffed with cauliflower, egg, cheese, potatoes, and avocado. Their menu could be even better if they had vegan eggs and/or cheese that could be substituted into this taco to make it truly vegan. This location is a couple of years old and is a great addition to the area - an area lacking in restaurants, especially for brunch. The manager is a standout and he absolutely delighted my Mom and I with his service this past weekend. Despite the place being very busy, we were seated quickly, and received good service. I've been to several area First Watches and honestly enjoyed my meal at all of them. Until this one :(. I ordered an Eggs Benedict and it didn't even come on muffins but on a hoagie bun. I thought, okay they must be out of muffins so I'll roll with it. (Pun intended lol). But then I cut into the egg and it was as if it was hard broiled. I ordered grits instead of potatoes and they forgot, again I'm forgiving, things happened but when I asked for the side of grits ... I got cheesy grits instead. At that point I was just tired of dealing with it so ate what I had knowing I wouldn't come back. Daughter has two eggs over easy and they were over hard. Grandson had a sandwich and the bread was soggy. The man who waited on us was excellent however and that's why I'm adding a star to this review. There are plenty of better places in the area to go for breakfast. I recommend you try someplace different. read more

Went here for the first time today and overall it was a great meal and a good experience. We were able to get a table right away, which was a surprise for a Saturday morning. This is where we had one of my complaints and that is no kids in the restaurants were being given crayons. Not sure if they were just out or what but my daughter wanted to color and I looked around and other kids were in the same situation. I ordered the Trifecta, which comes with 2 eggs any way you want, a Belgian waffle or pancake, and your choice of meat. The food was amazing although it was a bit pricey for the amount you get. If you like volume for breakfast like I do then this may not be enough. The eggs were cooked perfect, the Belgian waffle was airy and had fresh butter and a very flavorful maple syrup on it, definitely the highlight. I also got the chicken sausage patty and while I was worried that they did not have a traditional beef patty, this was a super flavorful patty and I would definitely order again. Service was prompt and very friendly. Only gripe I had is I never got my refill on my diet but it also was debatable if I really needed anymore towards the end of my meal anyway. Definitely a good experience here and we will more than likely be back. read more

When you walk into First Watch, the ambiance is captivating. It has that Farmhouse decor that is clean but rustic. Every time that I have been in the service has been top-notch. The servers are friendly and able to recommend items on the menu. I was surprised at how much I liked their lavender lemonade!! The food at any of the First Watch locations has always been superb; however, our most recent experience was less than desirable. We were seated by a table was not clean--several dirty items were actually on the floor which included what looked to be bacon grease, a puddle of water, and food particles. We brought it to the attention of several of the employees, but no one ever came to clean off the table or the floor--my daughter literally had to keep her feet off the floor to prevent her shoes from getting soiled. The food was less than okay and we are pretty certain that the scrambled eggs were powered and not fresh--they ran out of syrup and several of the items that should have been hot came out cold. Been coming to First Watch forever. Great food like always. However, this location is much slower at bringing out the food compared to other locations around KC. We come at least once a month and it usually takes 45 mins for our food to come out. This is way to long for a simple omelet and pancakes. Hope it gets quicker soon! read more

The worst experience I've had at any first watch location. We were seated in the patio by the boast inside and where not acknowledged at all afterwards. Mind you it was 1 adult and two toddlers. Although many servers walked by not one acknowledged or offered refreshment. The guests that arrived after us were served drinks within 10 minutes of being seated. We enjoyed breakfast here today for my husbands birthday! Everything was wonderful! I had the Belgian waffle which was great! My husband had an omelet, toast, and potatoes and he barely left anything on the plate. Also had the cinnamon cereal milk drink and it was so yummy!
