The stepson mentioned Big Biscuit as a breakfast option before graduation. I love biscuits, and I like the name. I had the new Nashville Hot biscuit, which was drizzled with honey and upgraded my grits to Cowboy grits. The biscuit was amazing! I had to eat it with my fork because it was so big and dripping with delicious honey. I love grits and love spicy, so I upgraded my grits. The chorizo was cooked perfectly and not greasy at all. There was a good spice kick, but not terrible it you aren't a big 'like it hot' person like me. Another in our party got the Alamo Burrito and said it was 'fire'. Not too many people when we went, so it was fast. Service was great and the decor is cute. Great visit. I may need to try the biscuits and gravy next time I'm 8n town.

Big breakfast, very delicious, and the staff was pleasantly polite. Four of us each ordered something different and each of us loved our meals.

Half order biscuits and gravy with potatoes and coffee.

The food was good, it was a great portion and the temperature was perfect. Service was excellent. Dalton was friendly, patient and such a nice person. Ambiance was comfortable and it wasn't too crowded when I was there. I only wish I wasn't seated at a table in the middle of the room since I was eating alone. But otherwise it was nice. I would definitely say this is a place I would come back to eat and I highly recommend it!

I like the menu and I hate the prices. We were seated in a glassed in dining area inside the dining room which I think was really neat. The drink menu does not list one single price. It's making me suspicious that the prices are changed on a whim. I ordered from the traditional portion of the menu. 2 eggs with meat. With the choices of ham steak, bacon or 2 sausage patties for my meat I selected bacon. Between biscuit, grits or toast I selected the biscuit. It was BIG. Flavor wise it was just okay, pretty doughy to me. I ordered my egg over hard and it came out soft which equals inedible for my taste buds. In the "Traditional Breakfast" portion of the menu it suggested that I ask for sausage gravy so I did. It wasn't spiced up or flavorful in any way and there was also an up charge for the gravy that the server did not bother to mention. For people with hearty breakfast appetites this is a good place to try as the portions are generous.

What a pleasant place for breakfast! We had a party of seven and they were very accommodating, the waitlist feature helped to warn them we were on the way. We ordered a variety of pancakes, scrambles and biscuits. The table was quiet, a sign everyone enjoyed their meals. I had Jim's Platter which hit the spot with biscuits and gravy, eggs, and potatoes. I sure wish our server's name didn't escape me, she was fantastic! My nephew wanted to know if we could visit again the next morning, so I'd say it was a success!

Very good breakfast. I would go there again. Service was good and I could see the owner or manager ensuring everything was running good.

Amount of food received as gone down significantly as of late. Beverage prices rose significantly. Won't be going back.

Service was mediocre and the food is just typical breakfast fare with nothing to make it stand out.

Heck, she even had Brad Pitt's dad help with wallpapering! The place, obviously, is not a chain hotel and if you are expecting things to be like a chain hotel, you might not be happy here. But if you are reading the reviews you probably already know this. We stayed on a Friday night, so we were there for the weekend breakfast, which I enjoyed. We had not heard ANY sounds from other guests at any point during the night, so were surprised that other people were there at breakfast. A guest at the other table said to us that he was surprised to see anyone else was here as they had not heard us either! It turns out that their room was very close to ours; and there were guests in other rooms as well! Wish all hotels were that quiet! Because of the historic nature of the building, it seems it might be inaccessible to people with mobility issues. Our room (the Chapel suite) was pink and frilly and not really my style of decor - but it's not like I'm moving in! It was definitely a change from usual hotel decor, which is never to my style either! It's a pretty large place and is not as cozy as a small B&B. But it's very reasonably priced compared to those. Beds were quite comfortable, more so than most hotels in my experience. We had reserved 2 nights, but had to cut our vacation short due to weather predictions on the route home. They were completely understanding and didn't charge us for the cancellation of the next night. Will definitely stay here again!

A very cozy and unique place for a reasonable price! The breakfast was also great! I would stay…read moreagain!

Started off with the orange zest caramel latte and it was great: noticeable orange flavor, not overwhelmingly sweet, and served hot in a big campfire-style mug. We split the "super basic brekky" (biscuit, 2 fried eggs, 2 sausage patties, and a side of dressed greens) and the "bean gurlie" hashbrown bowl (hashbrown casserole, fried eggs, beans, onions, peppers, cheese. Also came with a side of dressed greens). Portions were filling and everything was DELICIOUS. The biscuit was our favorite part of the meal (tall, fluffy, amazing), but the sausage and the hashbrown casserole were close contenders. I'm not a huge greens person at breakfast, but whatever they dress them with was super tasty and I loved it. Decor gives thrifted grandma vibes in the most fun and curated way. Staff was very efficient and kind. We'll absolutely be back!
