Another short staffed restaurant? Waited with another group in the foyer for more than 5 minutes before being greeted and even longer to be seated. Only 1 server working at 730am? 2 older gentlemen came wandering out the front of house to see what was going on but not offering to help a clearly stressed out server as the restaurant was quite busy, including a large business group. I ordered a scrambled bowl with biscuit since it's their specialty. Bowl came out and it was severely lacking seasoning. They only has franks hot sauce at the counter and every bottle was filthy with crusty dried sauce all over it. Biscuit was large and served warm with butter. However, it crumbled apart when I cut it and even more so when I tried to butter it. I'm not a biscuit chef but I believe something was off with the crumbling of it. 3 more servers arrived around 8am, they were chatting about why they couldn't start earlier when it's busy. I witnessed a lady picking up a breakfast bundle for her office, luckily she checked it cause it was missing several items and nobody wanted to take ownership of it and help her out. We joined the waitlist on Yelp on a busy Saturday morning. Our table was ready before we even arrived and when we did get there our table was waiting on us. Wow. The food was fantastic. The service was amazing. Everything was just as we ordered it. The French toast platter was great and more than filling. The Big Breakfast was also amazing. We will definitely be back. Best brunch spot in Springfield! My hubby loves their chicken and I love the cinnamon roll pancakes. They have great hot chocolate too.

Food is always good started going to these in the KC area and they are great here. Have gone to both locations and are always excellent.

Food and service were good. I had an spinach omelette and Texas potatoes. It was not only provided fast but hot with the potatoes fresh and hot as well. The wait list is a joke! Just sat there over 20 mins to watch people added to the wait list after me being seated before me. When told hostess that I'm not waiting anymore since I'm never gonna be seated she said she didn't see me on the list. Showed her the list and how long I was waiting but still said she couldn't find me. Told her I didn't wanna eat here anymore since ill never get seated. The name and sign don't really drag me in. But I'm a sucker for breakfast food. Probably cook it 2-3 times a week for dinner on top of breakfast. Some friends and I tried this place for a change of pace and were pleasantly surprised. I had the Popeye Omelet with hash browns and sourdough toast. We love Big biscuit and the food and service definitely live up to our expectations today too. However I was disappointed by a few of the waitstaff and the person who seemed to be in charge. All staff had masks on, but the manager and our waitress were both wearing them below their noses. It was not all waitstaff, just ours and a couple others, but who's to blame them when the manager sets such a bad example. They even had the type of mask you can pinch at the nose to keep it up, but chose not to. And with a manager setting such a bad example, who knows what the kitchen staff was doing. I'm just disappointed that they were clearly disregarding any safety rules set in place. These were also the older and should be wiser staff... all of the younger staff, such as the hostess and girl who seated us were wearing theirs correctly. read more

One of the best breakfast places I have been. Great options, known for their chicken which was not a let down at all. And you have to get the cinnamon roll pancakes. I don't really like pancakes but lets just say you really don't need syrup or butter!! I actually ordered an order to go, though the server messed it up, I called and the manager Ryan was great.. replaced it and gave me a card for a free meal!!
