This place is a gem. The food is fresh and I believe farm sourced. It's beautifully decorated and has a nice ambience. And, it supports Adults with Special needs, with the proceeds of all tips going towards scholarships and support programs. I had the quinoa salad and tomato basil soup. I was a little leery of the tomato, basil soup, which looked a little bit watery. But when I took my first spoonful, it was savory and delicious with a little bit of a kick! The quinoa salad was absolutely delicious. I was taken aback by how fresh it tasted. The service was really good too. What more can I say! This place is a must stop! The purpose is amazing, and their food is to die for! I love their signature coffee! And also all of their pies! the strawberry scone with the butter is mouth watering good!!!! And the workers are just the sweetest! Absolutely the coolest place! If given the opportunity please do yourself a favor and go to The BiG Cafe. Some details - The smiles on the faces of all the staff was, by far, the highlight of our visit. A very close second was the genuine service provided by all. We had a "pour over" coffee, a latte and a mocha - all were some of the best coffee experiences for each of us. We also had the avocado toast which was perfection. This is a quaint cafe we happened to walk into. Having said this, the lunch items we ordered unfortunately seemed a bit too pricey for the quality and the amount served. Advice would be to make the avocado smash on fresh sourdough slice with avocado being more than a thin application. And second item is the BIG salad, add more salad to make it substantial and filling. Implementing such small adjustments can go a long way for customers. What a gem this place is!! Light and airy, with delicious food and the best coffee we have had in ages. I had the yogurt parfait and a chai latte, and both were so good I don't know if I could order something different next time. I'm not positive, but the granola tasted like it was homemade. It was amazing. The gift store has the most stunning and unique items and it was really hard not to buy at least one of everything! It's rather expensive for my budget but I was still able to find a couple small things and feel good about supporting a great cause by shopping here. We didn't have enough time to fully explore the entire property and see the greenhouse, but we will certainly be back! read more

What a delightful surprise! I was in the area and so happy I found this cute cafe! Initially, it feels like a modernized Cracker Barrel in terms when you first walk in- you walk into a gift shop and the cafe is off to the back. But that's where the similarities end! The decor reminds of Magnolia Cafe and the service is out of this world! The menu is limited but perfectly made, presented and executed! I'm a big avocado fan and got the Jack Sandwich with a side of tomato soup. Ya'll!!! I am craving their tomato soup days later like a hormonal pregnant lady or a crack head needing to get my fix! Their ice tea is house made hibiscus and I got their seasonal harvest pie with a side of their vanilla bean ice cream. Did I mention everything is homemade?! (By the volunteers and citizens of BiG community!) and I got their caramel apple scones to go! So good and felt like I was at grandma's house! What made the meal even more heart warming is that the proceeds from your meal and gift shop supports special needs adults and retired volunteers to give them a purpose and help them integrate in the community. This has been one of my favorite local places for a few years now and I can't say enough about this place. It's a quaint cafe located off the side of a gift shop/store and a portion of every purchase goes directly into the charity organization that helps people with special needs/disabilities. I've seen this place absolutely bloom in the last few years and I'm so excited to see their continued improvements and expansions to come. The food is everything. It's locally sourced and made fresh and the quality is proof in every bite. My usual fav is the sweet potato encrusted quiche w bacon and cheddar, the particular day I stopped in they didn't have it and I tried the breakfast tacos and man I was so glad I did. The flour tortillas are made fresh, the green salsa was fresh, the tacos tasted fresh w great flavor and seasoning. I've tried various items throughout the years and I love that even on a routine stop in and having to try a new dish I was still surprised and left happy and full. Everyone that works here is truly kind and it shows in their genuine efforts w each other and the patrons. This is a small cafe that offers really great soups, salads, and sandwiches that are made fresh daily. They also have a few other brunch, lunch, and dessert items on the menu that are very tempting that I haven't tried yet. I've only lived in GT a short time, but I bring all my friends and visitors here. I've eaten here about four or five times and each time it has been really delicious! The tomato basil soup and the grilled cheese sandwiches are my favorites! The homemade cookies are also wonderful! Great place to come with friends to enjoy lunch after shopping in their gift shop. This is definitely one of the best little gift shops in Georgetown. Also, the Greenhouse is a great place for special events. This place is really special because it serves a higher purpose, which is supporting the lives and families of many of our Georgetown citizens with disabilities. read more

We really loved our first but not our last visit. Not many places you find that are a great little café, coffee shop, gift shop and a greenhouse....this places does a tremendous job of covering all those bases.... and helps special needs people do amazing jobs, every where we looked we saw talented artwork, pottery, food, coffee drinks and plants, and lots of friendly service. My wife and only boss left shared a great grilled cheese sammy and a salad, I didn't share my apple and cinnamon scone with a pat of cinnamon butter, we also shared a great iced coffee drink and a hot cappucino. This was a cute little cafe! Absolutely come here if you're looking for a light breakfast or lunch. Breakfast is served until 11am and then they switch over to the lunch menu. The breakfast special the day we came was a bacon omelette with spinach and feta. Lunch special was a tomato basil soup. Since it was breakfast, I ordered the omelette. It was very light and good for a mid morning brunch. I also got some tea, and it was very refreshing. They serve their drinks in a a tin thermal cup that keeps your drink cold. My sister ordered the quiche. The dish itself is cute and presentable, but she thought of it as more of an egg and sweet potato muffin rather than a quiche. Quiches typically have a crust like a pie, but this one didn't have crust. I've attached a picture of it after she's cut into it. This is a dog friendly location, so if you have your pup, you can sit at the picnic tables right outside! The cafe entrance is past the gift shop, but you can also access the cafe through the gift shop entrance. The gift shop sells a lot of cute handmade Knick knacks along with fudge and pure honey. read more
