Even though we arrived early to surprise the Birthday girl, our table was ready, and our server brought water as we awaited the guest of honor. Service throughout our visit was excellent. Goodfolks has an extended brunch menu and some interesting cocktails to get your motor running on a Sunday Funday. Bloodies and French 75s were table favorites. Check out their online menu for a complete list of their craft cocktails and local beer offerings. Highlights were the basic classic breakfast: applewood smoked bacon, 2 Vital Farms eggs, potato hash, and Texas toast. Three of us ordered our eggs served differently, and they all arrived perfecto. Another highlight was the chicken and biscuits. This serving is huge and was a struggle for most to finish. The chicken breast arrived crispy, lightly battered as advertised. The maple sage gravy and syrup honey butter provide a sweet taste to the dish. Two of us struggled to remember what business occupied this location before Goodfolks. Thank you, Elise, for your 2022 review, which reminded us that the Burger University was the previous tenant. I would recommend reservations, as they did get pretty busy. Easy 5-star review for this wonderful Georgetown Square restaurant. ,

The GM was behind the bar hanging up glassware. We told him that we'd like to order. He replied 'Sorry, I'm the GM. I don't serve drinks. I've been here since 9 o'clock this morning. I've been really busy.' Well, if you were worth anything as a GM, people wouldn't be walking out on you, frustrated about not being served!

I visited this restaurant for the first time for lunch…read more This is a restaurant with a red door located on on Williams Drive directly past Estrella Crossing. The storefront is inviting. Upon entering the restaurant, it is very comfortable and feels like a nice place to be. Upon looking at their signage, they have live music! I will definitely be back for that. Upon looking at the menu, they have many yummy dishes to choose from. However, I have extreme food restrictions, and I did not see anything that I could eat because I am dairy free, processed sugar-free and gluten-free. I shared this information with my server (i'm pretty sure her name was Haley). She said, "let me go talk to the chef," and off she went! :) She came back and recommended "caprice chicken over veggies" which they would customize to my dietary restrictions. Wow, that was over and above and so comforting! She said that the caprice chicken over veggies dish came with a salad and she checked -and all of the salad dressing had sugar in it, so I told her to bring it to me plain with a little bit of vinegar on the side and she came back with a salad with dressing on it and she said that they found some apple cider vinegar they put on top and would that be OK... OK? It was perfect! I loved that she listened to me and she knew that was within my diet restrictions! Haley is a fabulous server. I told Haley that she was so good that I'm going to ask for her to be my server every time. I feel so blessed to find someplace that I can eat comfortably and be so satisfied! Did I mention they have Italian wine!?! Oh so good! My lunch was amazingly good, can't wait to get it again, the wine was really good The atmosphere was so pleasant and everyone there seem to be having a good time The service was exceptional! I highly recommend you visit!

The environment inside the restaurant was warm and welcoming. There was a stand outside Georgie's restaurant taking drink orders to go. Other than downtown Austin, I was not aware where you could drink adult beverages outside a restaurant or bar. We ordered a crab cake, Georgie's margarita and a frozen margarita. The drinks were refreshing after being in the sun for a bit. The crab cake was good but could have used a little less mayonnaise. Our server, while quite busy, managed to stay attentive to our requests. Great food and drinks...

We started with the George Margarita and the specialty spritzer with gin, both were tasty and not too sweet. In addition to the ceviche, oysters and crab claws. No oyster options, they had Texas east coast farmed which were ok, not too large or small with a sweetness. The ceviche was missing something so I added salt and that did the trick but the accompanying chips were . They had no flavor and a stale consistency ‍ maybe that was the intent. The crab claws were a little fishy and had way too much broth but overall weren't bad, maybe 3/5. For entrees I decided to go smash burger and fried shrimp/oyster basket. Smash burger was well prepared, I swapped fries with broccolini. The fried seafood was a miss. The batter was similar to an unseasoned tempura and the hush puppies were very doughy, that dish is a pass. I'd return but will stick with appetizers or the burger but if I'm craving seafood there definitely are better options even if that means going outside of Georgetown.
