There's no excuse for this just laziness. If you don't think you're competent enough as a manager to have mobile orders come in throughout a day TURN THE MOBILE ORDERS OFF AS SOON AS YOU OPEN. NOT blowing 40$ in food when I could have spent 20$ all because you wanted to Be lazy.

This brand new incarnation still has some kinks to work out but I got here even before their official grand opening. They've been so busy (good location) they can't get set up for their real grand opening. When I went in they still didn't have any diet drinks and didn't seem to get the concept. When I was disappointed they didn't have Coke Zero they offered regular Coke, then each and every high sugar drink they do have as if that might change my mind. Then they admitted, they still were waiting on their first shipments of many menu items. The chicken tenders were good, the sauce selection is good, I sure hope this new ownership is successful, they seem nice.

We sat down and ordered the french onion burger with waffle fries and the classic cow with waffle fries. The server was really nice and chit chatted with us a bit about things to do in MKE. My fiancee, Alyssa has lived here for awhile but I haven't so it was always nice to know new places/things to do. Apparently they also do trivia on Tuesdays here, which I have wanted to do for awhile somewhere. My burger was the classic cow--it was very messy but SOOO good! It was basically their take of a typical quarter pounder with a great tasting "special sauce". It tasted like it was partly mixed with mayo but looked like Big Mac sauce, so I don't know what it was. It was really good though. The onions and pickles on my burger gave it a nice flavor but unlike some places this didn't have too many onions--so that was great! The waffle fries were breaded well and there were just so many of them. I knew I shouldn't eat all of them, but I couldn't help myself. Next time, I might have to only eat about half lol. Alyssa had the french onion burger and it looked delicious! I almost wanted to switch our plates when she wasn't looking lol. Hers came with bone marrow butter and she said it was very full of flavor and melded perfectly together to give it a solid french onion taste. She also loved her waffle fries. Not going to lie I actually ate half of hers--probably should just eat half of mine and call it a day next time LOL! The inside was pretty quiet with several TVs playing different things, one playing trivia that I kept doing as I ate. You can sign up for it on your phone plus they also offer free WiFi if you scan the QR code. Overall this was a pretty solid choice for a laid back dinner.

I called ahead to make sure they had room, and we arrived around 6:30 p.m. Food: We started with a couple of beers, and I also ordered one of their specialty cocktails, the Girl in the Neon Moon. I think of it as a Miller High Life Summer Shandy, and it was very tasty. For dinner, we ordered the Street Corn, a Double Palomino Burger, and the Hot Fried Chicken Sandwich. The Street Corn was just okay. I'm used to street corn being roasted, and their version was sautéed. In my opinion, roasted or cast-iron-charred corn delivers much better flavor. The burger was excellent. They nailed the medium-rare temperature, the patties had great flavor, and everything arrived hot. The toppings added great texture, although the bun struggled to keep up with all of the delicious beef juices. The Hot Fried Chicken Sandwich was nothing short of amazing. They use chicken thighs instead of breasts, which are almost always more flavorful. The chicken was lightly battered and perfectly crispy. The pickles and mayo were a great complement. I ordered the hot sauce on the side and mixed a little into the mayo, which turned out to be the perfect choice. The fries were also very good. My wife said she'd come back just for another order of those. The portions were generous, and we ended up enjoying another meal from the leftovers the next day. Service: Several different servers took care of us throughout the evening. We were seated quickly, water and menus arrived right away, drinks followed shortly after, and all of the food came out hot. Everyone was efficient and helpful, but we never really connected with any of them. The restaurant was only about half full, so I don't think they were simply too busy. It wasn't a deal breaker, but it's always nice when the service includes just a little conversation along with taking care of the essentials. Atmosphere: It's a neighborhood corner bar serving surprisingly good food. The bar itself is attractive, with oversized, comfortable bar stools. The dining area is simple but comfortable, with plenty of space between the tables, and the noise level made it easy to carry on a conversation. We're really glad we stopped in and would happily come back. Next time, I'd skip the Street Corn and order the Brussels sprouts instead, but I'd keep everything else exactly the same.
