The slices were served hot, but it ends there. The chicken francese slice was so terrible. It was like a glob of chicken substances with heavy cream sauce under a cheese of some sort, which tasted nothing like real francese sauce. It was like eating flavorless creamy boiled chicken and cheese. A couple bites, and I threw the rest in the trash with what I wanted to be a slam dunk. Times like these I choose to forget. The other slice was nothing worth mentioning. Edible maybe, but nothing special. Such a disappointment. I just don't see how this place even stays in business because the competition out there is real. Thumbs Down, go somewhere else.

Whoever designed the space, I hope they quit right after. When you walk it the door the counter is to the right. It leaves no space to create a line so your line is either out the door or wrapped inside the restaurant. I ordered a Sicilian pie to go and I almost walked in to walk out because the waiting part was miserable. If you wanted to order something else or see what was in the case on the counter good luck. What is the purpose of the counter when you walk in straight? Besides being home to pizza boxes. With over 700 pizzerias on Long Island, I don't think I would come back here again.

The slices are thicker pieces so they are filling. Also in my personal opinion I don't think that the garlic knots are the best I've ever had, but they are pretty solid. Sal's is a town favorite especially for teenagers to grab food so it's definitely somewhere worth your money.
