"OK" is the most apt description I have of this place. Generally, the idea of buying a salad when I…read morecould make my own isn't the most appealing to me, so the salad has to be great or at least good. My wife thinks the salads are great. I think they are good. So why not a 4 or 5 review? Because this place really overcomplicates things--and I can't quite figure out why. There 6 or 7 people working at any given point. It's actually kind of funny watching because there are usually 2 who don't know where to stand or what to do. But they make you fill out a form and then, more times than not, THEY ASK YOU INFORMATION THAT YOU JUST GAVE ON THE FORM! YO! C'MON! I imagine that the form idea came around in the name of efficiency. But this is asinine, and this is either one of those solutions for a problem that doesn't exist... or it is a solution that is implemented very poorly. But the best (worst) is today when the form is filled out that I want the salad chopped and the dressing on--and the person asks me if I want the dressing on--and then the salad comes neither chopped nor dressed! All the while, there are all these people handling my salad and form (because, as I said, people need to find something to do), and no one bothers to double-check?? Wouldn't that be a good use of a person?? So, this place is OK. The salads are good or better. But the processes are odd, if not a little funny.

I ordered a Build Your Own Bowl with all my favorite things and it was yummy enough. I wanted a little more flavor and in retrospect, should have asked for a little more lemon juice. It tasted like it was left out but I didn't mention. Pro tip: If you like your salad chopped, I recommend you ask them to chop it smaller. My friend ordered hers chopped and it was barely chopped. So I was glad I was able to intercept mine before it was prepared. I don't like it finely chopped but I like the lettuce to be bite-sized, not big pieces. I mean, what's the point of asking for it chopped? Lots of options for add-ins. Most of my friends liked their salads too. Space was lovely, super clean, and the manager who helped us was great. I wish I got her name but she had impressive biceps. Looking at the photos of The Greenery in Sayville, you could say the Islip location is an annex. It's a much smaller space with seating for about 13. I wish the Greenery much success in my neighborhood. Solid eatery for fresh salads, bowls and smoothies. I hope they might participate in 2 Good to Go. :)

I was happy to see that 21 Main became something else because I always liked the building. The ambience is beautiful and I love a restaurant where you feel like you're walking into somebody's beautiful home. When I arrived, it was a lbit busy as it was lunchtime on a Friday. I thought to myself oh great, because that usually means the service suffers but that didn't hinder the service at all! The waitress was very attentive! ordered a plain cheeseburger, a glass of wine and an iced tea. When my food came out, I asked for an extra glass of water because I have swallowing issues with certain foods and without asking she brought me over a carafe of water! Service was outstanding. I sat with family and enjoyed a simple tea and toast today. My sister-in-law order the Matcha with blueberry, she let me grab a sip and it was very refreshing, perfectly balanced blueberry, it was sweet but not too sweet paired with the Matcha tea. Not only delicious but very pleasing to the eye it's beautifully displayed in their clear cup. This place feels upscale, trendy. The food options are plentiful. Can't wait to return. I thought it would be dead, but to my surprise it was still pretty busy! Its a small little place, but still a few options to sit down and eat or just sip your java. Bonus points for excellent music choice, very indie singer/songwriter style that made for a nice relaxing atmosphere. Starting with the reason you're probably going here, the coffee. I got a peanut butter latte, and my girlfriend got one of their winter seasonal choices in the ginger bread latte. both served hot. The PB was very smooth and lightly sweet, but the ginger bread one in my opinion takes home the trophy this time. As for lunch we did their sandwich/wrap and a salad combo, which as far as I am concerned is the best deal I've ever seen, Panera eat your heart out. I got the buffalo chicken wrap with a side caesar salad, and my girlfriend got the fig & brie sandwich, with a side peach and avocado salad. The buffalo wrap was nice and light with grilled chicken and a buffalo sauce that seemed almost more like a vinaigrette and the caesar was about as classic as it gets. The fig and brie was an unexpected plus for me and eats almost like a caprese sandwich, while the peach and avocado salad was super fresh, fruit in salad doesn't quite do it for me personally, so we split the trophy for our lunches. My only "major" downside is that the food is served on wooden paddles, I personally like a plate, but that is more of me just being a nit-picker more than anything else. Parking is pretty ample with spots both in the front and the back of the attached lot, but be careful when you're pulling up the first time, you're bound to miss it, I know I almost did!

We were told they had a great bingo night and fantastic food and drinks. That proved to be an excellent recommendation. The Wayward is located in the heart of the quaint village of Sayville. It is a spacious establishment with a large bar, plenty of tables as well as booth seating . We sat at the bar and were immediately greeted by the bartender Brian. He was friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the food and drink choices. He took the time to note our preferences within the dishes offered. It was apparent to us that Brian and the 2nd bartender Meg were extremely hard working, friendly and efficient. We started with a few drinks. Nothing fancy. I had a rum & coke and my wife went with Prosecco. Both were good. For dinner I went with gnocchi with chicken sausage in a pink cream sauce Absolutely fantastic! The kicker was the large dollop of fresh mozzarella on top. My wife chose the Chicken Milanese with roasted potatoes . She noted that the chicken was pan seared, breaded , moist and delicious. She opted to get it without the tomatoes and onions that accompany it. The potatoes were amazing. (I snagged a few so I can confirm this!) Deliciously seasoned, crispy on the outside moist and creamy on the inside. The bingo was also great! Chris was a great host. The prizes were great , although we didn't win anything. All in all a great night! A pleasant change of pace . We fully recommend The Wayward whether it for bingo night or dinner and drinks . Fantastic atmosphere, great food, great service.

Not a lot of parking out front, but there is a rear entrance you can use that has a much bigger parking lot for your ease. Service was decent, we got forgotten about once right off the bat, but once we got things straightened out staff were helpful, kind, and attentive. Starting off with drinks, I had tried their gingerbread old fashioned and their boozy coquito. The old fashioned was nothing special, but I did enjoy the little gingerbread man it came with. The coquito on the other hand was very tasty, albeit a little bit boozier than I expected, but I don't often mind a heavy pour. Next up for food, starting with apps, I tried the pretzel which comes with a cheese sauce and mustard on the side. Just as good as you'll find it at any bar serving it up these days. For entrees, I had their signature burger and tried a bite of my girlfriend's steak sandwich, and she definitely came out the winner. Burger was good, but nothing that made it standout much from other good smash burgers. The steak sandwich though was cooked well and didn't all just pull out on the first bite, which to me is the key indicator of a good steak sandwich! Was overall a nice dinner and I'd certainly like to comeback and try more of the menu and I've often been tempted to stop by for their bingo nights, they always seem to have awesome prizes.

If you're wondering, yes, it totally lived up to the hype. What else went well? The service and really all of the other food we ordered. Just a positive experience overall. La Supreme Pizza is a small pizza shop located in a strip of businesses. There's plenty of free parking shared among the other shops. The inside does have a few tables if you want to enjoy your food on site. We were a party of seven people and took up almost half of the seating area. The staff was really accommodating and helpful as we tried to organize the order for so many people. All of the food was great. Some standout items for me included the Sicilian Pepperoni slices, stuffed garlic knots, and the plain slice. Highly recommend any of these items. My first visit to La Supreme Pizza was a hit. Starving when we got out, the pizza smelled great from outside the doors, so in we went. Five tables inside a small old school looking pizza place. Four of them occupied on a Saturday around 5:30pm. Went to the counter, 2 girls behind the counter, one gentleman making pizza. No one acknowledged my presence when looking in the case full of decent looking pizza. I asked if I could please have 2 regular slices, a pepperoni slice and a grandma slice. I didn't see any fountain drinks so I picked a can of soda out of the case. The young girl put the pizza in the oven and another girl brought all of the pizza to the table on a tray. We got our own plastic utensils and there was salt, pepper, garlic powder, cheese and napkins on each table. The regular cheese pizza was great! Cheese to sauce ratio was perfect. Crispy on the bottom, soft and chewy on the inside. Hot and a tad bit greasy. The size of the slices were different though. One was big and one was small. The pepperoni slice was weird. You would think it was a regular cheese slice with pepperoni on top. But it wasn't anything like the other cheese slices. It was thicker with a lot more cheese and a lot less sauce. The pepperoni was the best part. I don't know what was going on with this slice. There was a plastic squeeze bottle of honey on the counter, but I didn't use it. It just said "honey". (Not Hot) Lastly, the grandma slice was super fresh. Corner slice with a flavorful sauce. A hint of garlic without obvious chunks and the cheese to sauce ratio was on point. However, it was cold! Not luke warm, cold! I don't know why or how it came to the table this way. We didn't have time to wait again for it to be warmed up. It's a shame, it would have been so much better if it was hot. Oh and the can of soda was warm. Cold can, war soda. Whaaat!? We weren't asked to pay before sitting down. I guess it was the honor system until we finished eating? Regardless, we cleaned the table and went to the counter to pay. I was the first person on the line and the same girl who took my order played with the register for about 2 minutes after I told her I'd like to pay. She scrolled and scrolled and then said "would you mind waiting a few minutes?" and proceeded to help the next customer with a pick up order. I was pushed off to the side but didn't leave her sight because we had to go. She looked at me again and asked "what did you order again?" I get it. It was 15 minutes ago and we didn't pay right away, but you could have said 5 minutes ago that you didn't recall what we had instead of pushing me to the side to help someone else. It just didn't sit right with me. So after I told her what we ordered, she asked me a second time as she fumbled with the register! I told her again and I asked her for a receipt. She told me a "cash total". Hmmm, I thought we weren't doing that any longer in NY without signage. I had the cash and handed it to her. She gave me the change but no receipt. I had to ask for that again as well. So again, this was a tough one to review. It was our first time. The food was hit or miss. There was no customer service (with the exception of the girl who brought the tray of food over to the table). No thank you for coming or have a nice day. Would we go back? Yes, if in that strip of stores. Otherwise, we would keep driving down the road until we hit The Pizzeria in Bayport. No food pics as we were in a rush.
