Absolutely adore this spot. It wasn't noisy, very clean, and they lit candles at sunset. We ordered the beef center, mashed potatoes, broccoli, and two Ed baked potato. Carlos was our waiter and he was very attentive and kind. I would recommend making a reservation so you can have dinner with the sunset. So happy we did.

The Blaze is one of the restaurants located on site at the Hyatt Ziva all-inclusive resort. They offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's located right on the beach with stunning views while you dine. When it comes to ambience, Blaze cannot be topped. You're literally less than 100 feet from the ocean. If you sit along the rail near the check-in area you may look down on the rocks and see the resident grifter iguana named Panchita who will literally just chill there all day and have people throw food at it. I fell for it too and threw him some pieces of cantaloupe (after Googling to make sure it was safe for the iguana to eat). If you do decide to feed Panchita, please make sure you're offering something that isn't toxic to iguanas. A quick Google search will help you and Panchita. 5 stars for the ambience. Service at Blaze is overall pretty good. There were a few times we had to wait a little bit for our water to get refilled, but the staff were friendly and most of the time on top of things. I'd say 4-stars for service. Food was quite good! We had two breakfasts at Blaze. The first breakfast was quite good and the 2nd one was not as great. We came in near the close of breakfast and I think they rushed it. My hash browns were burnt pretty bad (they exploded when I tried to cut into them) and my g/f's food was burnt too. We didn't try Blaze for lunch, so no comments on their lunch. For dinner, we ate there 3 times. Each time our meals were very good. Steaks were cooked to our liking and had great taste. Sides were all very tasty. Their signature cocktails weren't very good in my opinion, but when I ordered something I liked at a different bar they made that very well. Dessert was uninspiring. Their coconut/tapioca dessert was lacking something. The chocolate cake/vanilla ice cream was their best offering that we had. Overall, I'd give the food about 4.5 stars. Overall, I think it's a solid 4 experience. Getting to enjoy a tasty ribeye while watching waves crash is pretty special and something you'd likely pay hundreds of dollars to do anywhere else. Here at Blaze, it's pretty much free (though I'd recommend tipping the wait staff). We ate here 3 nights out of the 7 nights we had dinner and I'd have no problems going back.

Blaze is my favorite restaurant on this all inclusive property. Amazing open air restaurant to watch sunsets while in Mexico. Service is good but language differences can make it difficult sometimes. Lunch they have a nice fish taco - I tried the burger but not my favorite. Steaks at dinner cooked to perfection. New menu is not as exciting. I will say from one year ago we where so looking forward to some items that no longer on the menu. So disappointing.

Breakfast was delicious! Loved their green chilaquiles with hot sauce and the view was beautiful even on a rainy morning!

Oh the service!!!!! The lack of it!! First night in puerto Vallarta! First night at my first all inclusive. And this spot. Dining at this spot made me wanna repack and go home!!! The crappiness of it all!! First off: this is one of the five restaurants inside Hyatt Ziva. And it has the most beautiful views and also the most promising reviews. I skipped sunset on the beach for a meal with the sunset views!! Even got the last table by the water. Gorgeous, stunning views. And that was all there is!!! Our server suck ballz!!! A reverse racism also suck!!! I look Spanish! Except I'm not! He spoke to me in Spanish till I said I can't understand jack! Gave me the iPad of wine menu! Aka the non included part of all inclusive!! For a while!! Because he failed to tell me that the only wine that were included are house red and white!! Tried to upsell the champagne I have in champagne page.. without knowing they are all champagne! He chose the most expansive one too!! Ballinger for $3600 pesos! The markup is real!! And the Italian anger in me is also real!! You suck!! And it keep getting worst!! This was a Brazilian grill! So obviously, they bring out all the meat to your table. I can see the kitchen! I can see the meat! The fish! Nothing came for a good half hour! They all went to every single table except mine!! Umm hello!?!!! Turns out!! I needed to eat the salad first in order to get my meal!!! Since I'm a chick! Ha!! Thanks sexist server!! There was a guy dining alone behind me: a big guy! With all the meat he can eat! Came after me! Ate before me! Finished before me!! But yea.. I'm a girl! "Oh you don't eat salad sinorita? You just want all the meat like a man?" Yes I wanted something that's not from the salad bar that's been sitting out!! I got a total of 5 pieces of meat! 3 fresh habaneroes.. not without the same sexist server making fun of me in broken english. Oh now you want a drink? All those papers are hot. Not for you. How about maybe u just bring me a drink and leave the unnecessary comments out! This was the rudest most sexist meal! The meat was all salty af! The drinks -all 4 of them tasted like crap. So I left them all. And the severs!! Except for the hostess at front and perhaps one other person that was forced to come to my table but didn't speak a single word of English! Horrible! They were nice to all the Spanish couples and men!! Just not this chick that look Spanish! And didn't get the salad! Zero star!! Thanks but no thanks!! Every other place in here was wayyy better!! But this, never again!

While there are a couple of really nice places to eat at the Ziva, this is my favorite. The service is quite good, the food is really good and the view... Simply amazing! I have had the filet here a couple of times and it is really seasoned well, tender and grilled to perfection. Today I had the French Toast and I think it was one of the lightest, most flavorful that I can remember. I had the mole chicken enchilada as well, very nicely done. The eggs Benedict was more than competent as well. I think of we go back to the Ziva we will eat more meals there next time. Carlos really went out of his way to make sure the wife and I were well taken care of. The rest of the staff was also top notch with shout outs to Alejandro, Susana, Aracel, Hector, Joel, Miguel, Jose Luis. You all worked together as a team and made our visit one we will never forget and hopefully soon repeat.

Beautiful setting on a beautiful beach. Appreciate the staff making the extra effort to make my added to go order as presentable as the sit down meal. I had breakfast and lunch here and the favorite for my family was the whole fried fish. So fresh and perfectly cooked!

It's a pretty good place with nine view. I like the New York steak and chef's salad. Do not order too much because the meals are big enough for you.

What an incredible experience eating at The Blaze. I on vacation with my mother at the hayatt hotel at Puerto Vallera. Orr if the deal as that guests if the hayatt can eat at The Blaze. It is located literally 3 feet from the ocean, and it has patio seating. We sat on the patio and were able to hear the sound of the ocean waves, and beautiful birds flying around us. I ate the daily catch of fish which was snapper. It came on a hot plate with grilled vegetables and rice. My mother ordered chicken ceased salad, which she said was great.

The food was great here. Very authentic and a must try. The steak was tender and melted in your mouth.

After looking up good places to go, Bar La Playa came up- and I'm sure glad it did! First, it's easy to get to if you're coming from North. Our Uber was easily able to drop us off without getting stuck in gridlock traffic that can affect certain roads of this area. Additionally, the location isn't a high-traffic area for tourists. That meant we were able to walk up and immediately find seats. Second, the service was top notch. I didn't get the bartenders name, but he was very welcoming, friendly, hospitable and spoke English. Just an overall cool dude and was glad to support his business. Third, the drinks were great. Finally, we were drinking 'real' drinks, not the watered down sugary stuff at the hotel. We were very satisfied with the taste of the drinks. Fourth, the prices are really good. Mexico has gotten expensive and this was a sigh of relief. You can have a great time here without feeling like you paid an arm and a leg. I highly-highly recommend making Bar La Playa your first stop when coming to this area. You're going to get great service, great drinks and all at a price that is reasonable and fair.

You'll find people engaged in all sorts of activities ....eating, drinking, dancing, and socializing. Andale is the place to have a great time. Today, for some reason, the restaurants and bars on the street seemed less crowded. It was a Wednesday night when we finally stepped foot into Andale's. We ordered margaritas, shots of anejo tequila, and a beverage; we had already had dinner elsewhere. The DJ was playing a mix of 90s R&B, reggaeton, country, and pop music, and the whistle blowing from the staff added to the lively and exciting atmosphere. I must admit, though, the loud whistle blowing now and then annoyed me, I managed to drown it out somehow. If you plan to visit Andale, expect fun and lively atmosphere with plenty of staff ready to serve you.

The restaurant itself was pleasant. Service was friendly, the atmosphere was lively, and it was a comfortable place to sit down, relax, and enjoy a meal. For visitors spending a few hours in town, it's an easy and convenient option. That said, after the meal, I felt the restaurant's biggest strengths were its location and atmosphere rather than the food itself. I specifically ordered the Chile en Nogada, which is considered one of their signature dishes. Presentation was beautiful: a large poblano pepper covered in a rich walnut sauce and topped with pomegranate seeds. It certainly looked impressive when it arrived at the table. The flavor, however, was not what I expected. The pepper was very soft and mild, with no heat at all. The filling combined meat, fruit, and spices, giving it a noticeable sweetness. The walnut sauce was thick, creamy, and nutty, but also surprisingly sweet. When everything came together in one bite, I tasted sweetness, savoriness, nuttiness, and the flavor of the pepper all at once. I can appreciate the complexity and understand why this dish is considered a traditional classic, but personally I struggled with the combination. As the meal went on, the sweetness became more prominent, and the dish started to feel like something caught between an entrée and a dessert. It wasn't bad--it just wasn't something I would order again. We also tried a few other Mexican dishes during the meal. They were perfectly acceptable, but nothing really stood out. The overall food quality felt average: not disappointing, but not memorable either. Throughout the meal, I couldn't shake the feeling that this was a restaurant designed primarily for visitors. The menu, atmosphere, and clientele all felt very tourist-oriented. For travelers looking for a convenient and comfortable place to eat, that may be exactly what they're looking for. But for those hoping to discover exceptional Mexican cuisine, I think there are probably better options in Puerto Vallarta.
