Where do I start, this place was the Camelot when I first graced the entrance in about 77' again, "Mom can I have some money for dinner?" Blah blah blah. It closed some years later and opened as Who Cares which was a smoke here if you want to place. Had a great bartender, Kimmy she was my Sister in Law RIP passed in 08' that made the place worth going into. It closed and the place sat dormant several years.....fast forward to a place that is as regular and comfortable as that old pair of Levi's or sweatshirt with holes you should have thrown out already. Comfortable and like some other bars in the area you always know what's on the other side of the door.....real people. Good capable personable bartenders a couple who are owner operators. A good bar, great selections of beers and liquor, shuffle board, darts, dice, some golf game, great Mexican food next door, great burgers across the street, so so Chinese just past the Mexican place. I'm glad to see they're doing well and plan on my continued support. read more

I went here this past Friday! It was lively, fun, full but not stuffed to the brim with people. I met a lot of cool folks, got way too drunk and lost my boyfriends pocket knife. All in all, a good night. Prices are reasonable, same as your average dive bar or just a little bit more. I'd love to come here again and take advantage of the foosball table and pinball machines. If I lived closer, this would be my go-to bar. If the "delicious mexican food next door" Alisa is talking about is from El Palmar next door, I'd have to respectfully disagree. I went there about 9 months ago and was very disappointed with the quality. It was pretty bland Mexican food. I like the Bloody Mary at this bar.. But the last few times I have been there it seems like it takes forever to get a drink! And I brought my sister there for the first time one night and the stupid security guard started shining his flashlight in our faces. Made the whole group of us uncomfortable so we just left.. Didn't even get a drink. The security there is crap! And if I didn't like the Bloody Mary there so much I probably wouldn't go back! I honestly think if there are bar maids and they don't know how to make the drinks that they should be the ones to take the payments! Or teach them how to make the drinks! Don't be counterproductive! I went for the Moscow mule. Anything with ginger beer is refreshing. They are always on top of things, and don't let out of control people stay around long so it keeps a great relaxing feel to it. And the customers are great... i never had the pleasure of getting sh*tty at *Who Cares* so i have nothing to compare it to except my romanticized version of a dive bar. set in an 80's strip mall a few staggers away from El Palmar, a nail place, Green Jade, a grocery store, and a few other local color hot spots, it almost seems unmarked if not for the banner with their name hanging above. you have your darts, jukebox, and maybe a few other things i missed lining the narrow space. the bar holds a lot of seats at the counter, but there's only a handful of tables and chairs so get there early if you're in the habit of falling all over the place. they even have a sparkly vinyl booth along the far wall usually dominated by the owners' friends retelling the glory days from their 4 years at El Camino. my advice to other Yelpers... definitely beware of train wrecks!!! there's always that guy too drunk to hold his hands up but doing anything he can to start a fight. there's those girls giving the stink eye, smacking their gum, and talking sh*t trying to piss off another chick so her man can get in a fight with someone. there's the Carmichael version of bros in their plaid shirts and/or fav team hat puffing their chests out, giving high 5's, and eying the bar as they choose their victim for the night. outside you can bum a smoke, but not without a 5-10 min chat about who you know, who you're with, or who you're going home with. it's a dive with weak/strong drinks depending on what you order. i had fun on new years eve c/o Karaoke Brian and my group of friends. we left by 12:15am... *CASH ONLY* *karaoke now on Wed nights* read more

Bummer, I really wanted to like this place. There's not many bars you can go to Han Solo as a single woman in my neck of the woods and the list just got shorter. Had some guy counting his teeth come on overly aggressive, there was only about a half dozen other people in the bar and I was visibly uncomfortable. Now I know most men today won't reach out to help women, but this place seemed pretty close knit and I thought I'd get at least a concerned gesture. Nada. I left not finishing my first drink. While I can fend for myself I'm no match against a formidable male. Rejecting a guy too strongly these days puts women in sometimes precarious situations. Please pay attention to your female patrons, all I needed was someone to step up and ask how I was doing and maybe to ask the guy to move down the bar. read more

Went for the first time last night with some friends. Cool little place. Pretty decent crowd (although strangely most the dudes in there looked like jack black - no bullshit lmao). I had no idea it had changed from that shithole it used to be in the past. It has a nice setup, Jukebox, games, karaoke thur nights. We ventured off the broken path to check out a new hole in the wall..we were two of three, but it was only 1000 AM, so thats OK as it gave me time to check the place out..We know the bartender so the conversation was good and the service was great...the place was clean, as was the newly remodeled bathrooms..had a few pinball machines and they do have a kitchen that opens up a bit later on but we did not stick around as by 11 PM it was a total co...er um guy fest..I wish some of these guys would bring their women out..it gets old having the only chick in the bar..needless to say..the Pig goes on my dive bar list..and we will venture out one evening and check it out and hopefully up grade to five starts... read more

The blind pig is a cool little bar in a random spot in Sacramento. It looks foreboding from the outside but it's hardly a dive bar, in that it just seems it would be sketchy from the sign in front. In reality, it's a quiet sports bar. The bar tender was cool and it seemed like a locals' spot where everyone knows eachother most nights.
