I also made the mistake of not checking reviews before making an appointment or else I probably wouldn't have gone. I made an appointment here to get my hair done before a wedding. The girl that did my hair was...rough...to say the least. While blow drying my hair she was using a technique I had never seen at any salon - while she was going through with the round brush, she was tugging my hair and hitting the blow dryer on the brush. It was annoying and uncomfortable. I don't know where she learned this, but as far as I know, this is not how you dry hair with a round brush. Then she curled my hair (I chose the Stargazer - was supposed to be loose beach-y curl), with a small curling iron, into spirals. All of my hair - I have a lot of hair. She didn't add any product to my hair other than hairspray, so I was really worried it would end up looking weird. I definitely did not like what she did with my hair after it was finished. It also smelled burned - thanks to the curling iron. I will say, my hair ended up looking fine for the wedding, and mostly held up through a very windy outdoor ceremony. So I guess that was one positive. However, the place was so dirty. Everything looked rundown and not well taken care of, and I could see dirt and stains on everything. Also, if your curling iron leaves a burned smell in your client's hair, probably not the cleanest. Well I've finished writing and I've decided to stick with one star. I've been to other blow out bars that I would highly recommend, and I would definitely never return to this location.

I browsed the floor afterwards and noticed they don't really carry any of the brands for cosmetics that I use, but they did have a large selection of NARS AND Tarte. But I used Jones Road and Ilia so that was of no help. I couldnt find the Amika hair products I use, so there was no addition purchases for this girl!

That person changed her mind, I was told to wait because some texts about availability went out, but that was a "lie", too. This situation is unacceptable and unprofessional! I had to drive twice from Westerville about 45 minutes each way for an appointment that was cancelled or never scheduled! This is unbelievable! I couldn't make this up...later, they had the audacity to text about my next appointment. I don't support unprofessional businesses that I cannot rely on. Also, I don't recommend this place because they luck of professional etiquette.

I walked in and checked in on the tablet, making it very easy. I used the restroom and saw a coffee/cocktail bar that surprised me a bit. I did get a glass of water at the self-serve desk by the entrance. I sat in a comfortable chair and when my tech was ready, I was seated at her station. Great pedi and I liked Selma who wasn't pressured to make conversation. I'm good with quiet. She put me at a different seat to use the nail dryer. My toes look great. After the pedi and as I was being moved, I accidently knocked my water glass off the side of the chair. It broke and made a mess. They didn't yell at me. I felt bad, but someone quickly arrived with a broom and dustpan. At the check out desk, I was informed I got 25% off as it was my first visit. Yay! I used my giftcard and have $ leftover. They expect cash tips so I put $ in an envelope for Selma. It is a very pretty salon and I would recommend it for a first timer.

First and foremost I want to express how much I love coming here to see Denise as she is the best stylist and I live in New Albany so it's much more convenient. She always listens with great intent and it is shown with her friendliness. She also executes any hair styling requests with perfection. I have seen her for a dry style, deep condition, voluminous hair, loose waves, and she can do it all with grace and precision. Unfortunately, I also need to express that it is insanely warm in the salon when the sun is out and directly hitting the windows where the stations are. If there was only one thing I could change, it would be that there would be shades covering the windows to deflect the heat from the sun rays. Please consider this update, not just for me, but for the other hairstylists and customers. read more
