The ambiance of this place was amazing. The food, tea, and coffee were amazing. The staff specifically our waitress, I believe her name began with a K or C. I don't want to misspell her name. However, she was amazing. The prices were well worth it. The only feedback I can offer is maybe offer a WiFi. I would absolutely love to come to this place to do some work. The vibe was absolutely there. Thank you for having my husband and I! We did not want to leave.

I been coming here for yeeeaaarrrrssss! Everything is usually tip top! Today we came in for a half cream tea, scones and tea... we were greeted by the somewhat abrupt hostess/server. When I asked a question, I received a unwelcoming answer... "that's what it says in the sign outside." Well, I didn't read the sign, I just walked in. I found her demeanor a bit brusque. The scones were cold and dry this afternoon. Thank goodness for cream and jam! I miss the "old days" of hospitable and inviting salutations! I will say, as the tea cooled, the server's attitude warmed up! So by the end of the tea, she became much nicer! Maybe just work on the greeting ;-)

A beautiful setting with delicious food and a large selection of teas. The owners were great in serving our large group. Worth the 40 minute drive and I will definitely be back!

A memorable, pleasant experience for me . Tasty food, great service and a great selection of teas. I didn't realize you had to make a reservation and when I walked in, the waitress found a table for me anyways (I was by myself) which was very kind of her to do that. The atmosphere is fun and quiet. Very clean. I got the hot cinnamon tea and "Victorian Tea" (the silver platter) which was plenty for one adult. The chocolate cake was 10/10

This was a phenomenal experience. A class operation all the way. The tea and food were plentiful, beautiful, and yummy!

Tucked away in Petersburg is this quaint tea room and antique shop. We drove by lots of antique shops in town, this one seems pretty nice even if it didn't serve tea. I dined in with my mom and a friend a few weeks ago. We were able to get a last minute reservation and enjoyed going out of the way (from Virginia Beach) to something different. The restaurant is older, like much of the city and has great wooden tables and heavy chairs. It really had a parlor feel when you sit down. The tea they offer is a wide selection with black, green, red, and herbal kinds. Bags not loose. The covid-19 protections hindered tea serving a bit, you can normally choose your pot and cup/saucer, I think. There are various 'sizes' of high tea you can get and we chose the one with the full 3-tier of foods, and it comes with soups. We're glad we ordered 2 tiers for the 3 of us. The soups were utterly divine and we all were in love with them. The tiers of food had 2 of everything and would work great for 2 people. The bottom had delicious sandwiches, the middle one was appetizers like fried spinach wraps and quiche, the top was small desserts like cheesecake bites and cake. The 3 of us all had some likes and dislikes, but nothing much was left behind once we got to trading (I ended up with all the tuna fish because I like it). Staff was friendly and able to tell lots about the restaurant and town. My dining partners thought they were a little nutty, but personally I enjoy that. My only qualm was that staff disappeared after dropping off the last of the food. There were some cleaning up processes going on at another table and in the back. I had to flag down a different staff member for a box. Folks with any sort of mobility issue: The restaurant is in an old building with an antique store. The front door is heavy and there is a step. The tables and chairs are heavy. If you go into the antique sections they have places that are close quarters and the 2nd floor is only accessible by stair.

Mimosas, go for the Victorian Tea Set, you'll never want to go anywhere else for brunch. Reservations a must, this place gets busy fast.

Absolutely exquisite, the decor, the food, the English tea, an experience not a meal.

Had a great time. For my first visit I was pleasantly pleased. I took my niece to a birthday that was being held for a seven year old. It was a great setting for a small party for a little girl. Everyone was able to choose to flavor tea that they wanted and received there own teapot. We had three courses if you will. A scone with homemade cream/butter, then some minestrone soup, then a three tiered finger food tower. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to any group of females that want to have a little time with the girls. Everything is made in house and fresh. It is a quaint little establishment, I think there were about six tables. My vote-give them a try!!

Blue Willow Tea Room ... My Happy Place !

What can a lady say ... this Tea room never disappoints . One of the best places to catch up with a friend over some Earl Gray . The Luncheon Tea hits the spot . Perfect for one person. Reasonably priced and great service. The food is fresh and TEA- RIFFIC. Beautifully and elegantly decorated with antiques which many can be purchased. I would make reservations around holiday times but other than that you should be able to get right in . It is a great afternoon spot to relax with a friend and do some shopping in the Historic Old Town shops. After finishing lunch and tea stroll on over to the adjacent antique store and purchase some beautiful pearls. Straight from China. Exquisite quality and a variety of lengths to choose from. You can't beat the prices !!! So if you haven't experienced the Blue Willow grab a friend and go 1/25/19 Once again I find myself heading back to this Tea Room . What's not to like ... it's everything a tea room should be !!! Nestled on Old Street in Historical Petersburg it steeps a tea atmosphere upon entering . Antiques adore the walls and corners of this Tea Room . Sid the owner always had an inviting delish menu. Assorted tea sandwiches , sweet desserts and a featured soup just for starters . Choose a tea that's pleasing to you're soul! They have a nice selection from Harney & Sons. Once you've finished your Tea stroll on over to Penniston's Alley Antiques . So many beautiful gems you'll find !

Because Keystone Grill sits inside the Truck and Tractor museum there is plenty of parking. The restaurant itself is just inside the museum on the left. Go straight to the Bob's Big Boy, then turn left. :) The vibes inside are great and you can look right into the museum from the restaurant. It's a great set-up. Booths line the windows and there is a long counter/bar for seating as well. When I put Keystone Grill into my GPS it said "Closing Soon" and that I'd arrive about 10 minutes before they closed (3:00pm). So I called ahead and got my hot dog and a side salad to go. I arrived at 2:47pm and was glad I had called. My order was hot and ready to go. I took it back outside to enjoy in the car. The hot dog was BIG and definitely loaded up with chili and cheese. Chili had really good flavor too. The side salad was a nice size and had fresh ingredients. This is a fun stop and I'd recommend it to others.

Dear reader,…read more Trapezium Brewing is one of those places that makes you want to linger a little longer. Housed in a beautifully restored industrial building, the space is absolutely massive while still feeling welcoming. It's spotless, modern, and thoughtfully laid out, with plenty of room indoors and an incredible amount of outdoor seating that's perfect on a nice day. The beer selection is a huge draw, with a rotating lineup that offers something for every palate. Every beer we tried was unique, well crafted, and genuinely delicious. Even if you're not a beer enthusiast, there are great cocktail options too. My Aperol Spritz was crisp, refreshing, and exactly what I wanted on a warm afternoon. The food easily holds its own alongside the drinks. The wood-fired pizzas are absolutely delicious with flavorful toppings and a perfectly crisp crust. It's the kind of pizza you'll find yourself thinking about long after you've left. The staff were friendly, attentive, and impressively quick, creating the relaxed atmosphere that makes this place so enjoyable. Let me say that with all these visits over maybe 10 years, we've never had a bad meal. The place shows its age but always seems clean. The staff seem to clean up quickly behind each customer. As for today's meal and service. The wifey had the French Toast with a side of sausage and we'd say this I about the best flavor French Toast around. The sausage also has a very good flavor. As for me, something told me to get the Open Face Turkey. It also was good. Had a decent flavor but wasn't exactly outstanding. But again a nice meal. First time I've had this here and if I had a craving, id get again. I still think my favorite is the French Toast or in the past I've had Chip Beef and I think Biscuits and Gravy. I assume they still sell those but the turkey was calling to me. As for the staff: always very friendly and today was no different. In the past, this place was a cash-only place but I noticed today they took cards. Not sure what cards or if there is a charge for using a card like many places now. But I was prepared for cash and paid by cash with a cash tip, which I nearly always do when dining out. As for my review. I gave this a 4-star but I would have given a 4 1/2 star if that was an option. So stop in and have a nice meal.

The stuff that my waist line thanks me for not cooking, if you know what I mean... I opted for the country fried steak, mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese, brother chose the pork chop special with mashed potatoes and pickled cukes and onions. The mains were amazing. The pork chop was huge and thick and delicious, the country fried steak was so good, the gravy on both was delicious. The price was a steal. They were both amazing. The mashed potatoes were also both delicious, definitely homemade and not from a box. The baked Mac and cheese was just okay. It tasted like normal homemade Mac and cheese, nothing particularly special, but then I feel like baking it always just dries it out and sort of breaks the cheese sauce, so I would definitely skip that next time in favor of something else. The cukes were also just okay, we got it to feel like we were trying a healthier option, but will probably just splurge for something else next time. We were a little disappointed though, I do understand that this is a local restaurant and some things are harder to get and keep on the menu and keep in stock, especially if you don't want waste, but we initially tried to order corn cakes but they were out, then rolls but they were out, then went with biscuits. Then brother got the last pork chop plate. They have been out of pickle fries for "awhile now". If you aren't particularly picky about what you want to order, cool. I only particularly like cornbread/corncakes, so I was pretty bummed. The people are super friendly though, and a lot of locals seem to come by for their hotdogs (like, a LOT. Clearly we are missing something not ordering the dogs.) I'll definitely be back on days that I had a really healthy breakfast and plan on breaking my healthy streak with something fried and covered in gravy.
