I was skeptical partially due to the location this boba shop opened up in (Poway isn't exactly know for anything Asian after all), but decided to give it a try. Interior: clean (the floor could be better), simple decors, black and white. Seems like a decent place to hang out and chat with a friend. Drinks: Hot OG milk tea with boba (25% sugar)-Tastes quite average, nothing super special, if anything, the drink was more warm than hot but that's fine. I also felt like it needed more creamer because the tastes more like black tea than milk tea BUT that could be due to the sugar level throwing me off so take that with a grain of salt. They forgot to put boba in the drink and kindly offered to make another. This time I tried it with normal 100% sugar and it was way too sweet, they also didn't fill this drink to the top‍. Rose black tea with strawberry popping boba (75% sugar). It tasted so so, nothing noteworthy to really mention. Overall, the place was alright and there's definitely room for improvement. Two workers I spoke to were very helpfu. One was a blond lady working at the register and the other one had tattoos on his arm (I didn't catch their names unfortunately). It's really a 3.5 stars. When you live in North County, there's really not a lot of boba places. So when you find one, you have to visit it and see how it is. The boyfriend actually found this place since he was craving boba and we were too tired to go to Mira Mesa and Convoy. This shop is located in the same place where Sprouts is, really close to it. So you know there's a lot of parking. We came here on a late Saturday night. It's a small shop with friendly people. The menu is not as extensive as other places but no problem there. I ordered my go to drink, which is Thai tea with pudding. I always order this when I visit a new boba shop. In any case, the pudding was soft and plenty. The Thai tea was good and not that sweet. My only gripe is that it only came in one size. I wished they had a large. Oh well. Overall, the tea was good and the pudding was good. The decor was fun and trendy. Loved the vibe in there. I wanted to surprise my sister for Mother's Day by dropping off a few gifts and some boba. I knew this was spot she came to before it's close to their home. They are open during this difficult time. They only accept online orders no phone orders. When I called to verify the person that answered wasn't very friendly. I went ahead with my order online, I received a estimated pick up time and email when it was ready. I ordered light ice on purpose so it wouldn't be overly watery. I ordered two drinks with boba. When you arrive you call the number for curbside pick up only. They will bring it out to you. I was very disappointed with my order. When I picked it up both were super watery. It looked like it was sitting out for a long time. I wasn't even late. I also ordered a blueberry milk and I got strawberry instead. I double checked my receipt. Luckily my niece liked it anyways. This place was a little hard to find for me. It's inside a plaza, so next to a bunch of different shops and it blends right it. The inside of the shop has a sleek look to it. Environment is definitely well suited for younger generations, but I saw many full age ranged families waiting to get their bubble tea from this shop! I originally wanted to get a coconut or taro bubble milk tea, but they didn't have very many flavors to choose from...I ended up getting the original milk tea flavor and it was good. A hidden gem in Poway, The Boba Co remains one of my favorite go-to spots for refreshing milk tea. The customer service is excellent and it was easy ordering online. I haven't been here in a while so I was pleased that the quality of the drinks is still on par like before. My favorite drinks right now are most of the Rose flavored drinks (Rose Milk Tea, Rose Matcha Latte), Earl Gray Milk Tea, and the Organic House Jasmine Green Tea. I recommend adding oat milk as a substitute if you want your drink to be light. It's my first time to purchase here. So I pick the default setting one: large OG milk tea with boba. Wow, it is the best boba milk tea in Poway! The texture of boba is soft but chewy as well. The milk tea itself is very smooth and it's more on the creamy taste side. The staff recommend 25% sweetness since I'm not a big fan of sugar. It turns out I could try 50% sweetness next time. Boba co is my favorite boba place in Poway, no question. As a stereotypical Taiwanese American, I'm always feigning for boba, and after so many disappointments, I've found a place that is insanely and beautifully fulfilling. The boba is always consistent in taste. The boba is fresh and has the perfect chewy texture that I have not found in many other boba places. I've been to a lot of boba places that have boba that is insanely hard, or the boba dissolved in my mouth. The milk teas at Boba Co always have a perfect balance between milk and tea. I will say the smoothies taste a little weird, so I stay away from them. But, besides that, everything tastes great and authentic. If I were to judge Boba Co by its taste only, I would give it 4/5 stars, because no Boba will taste like the boba I have had in Taiwan. But the one thing that brings it to 5 stars is Jazmin. Jazmin is one of the baristas that have been working at Boba Co long term. She has made every single experience at Boba Co feel so much more comfortable and homey for me. She's been there even before I started going, and even before I started to get to really know her a few months ago, she made each experience at Boba Co so much better. She makes me want to go back. If the company owners are reading this, I hope you understand how much of a positive impact Jazmin has on my opinion of this place. Honestly, I was a little skeptical trying this place and had pretty low expectations since it's in Poway, a place with not that many Asians (i.e. the champions and creators of boba) however, I was very very surprised and satisfied with the boba here! It reminded me a little bit of Camellia Road Tea if you've ever been there on Convoy or a lot like Boba Guys up in the Bay Area. The ingredients felt really fresh and I reallyyyy liked the texture and flavor of their boba. It was sweet, chewy, and a whole lot better than some of the other places I've had in San Diego. I ended up getting the Jasmine Milk Green Tea with boba and 75% sweetness and OG cream. I think the OG creamer is some powdered milk form or something? It's good though! I liked how they had a lot of milk options.. I think they even had oat milk? I thought the sweetness here was also on point to my taste buds and I usually like things pretty sweet. My bf got the mango green tea, but he kept wanting to drink mine, so maybe you should try the one I got over their fruity ones for a first time if you like milky drinks. I got a passion fruit green tea with regular boba at 25% since a lot of reviews said this place isn't as sweet as other places, but it was still pretty sweet and the tea flavor wasn't as strong as I would have liked. I would probably get 0% sweetness next time. It was also weirdly frothy like it had been violently shaken. Overall a very average passion fruit green tea. The boba, however, was pretty good. Nicely sweetened and fairly consistent in chewiness. On the better side of boba I've had in SD. In conclusion, pretty good! Will probably be back to try some of the other drinks. read more

What can you say when a boba place opens in Poway? Don't expect it to be the same as Convoy. The menu is limited and generic. There's about four flavors under each category of Milk Teas, Premium Milk Tea, Premium Fruit Teas, Matcha, Fruit Teas, Espresso Drinks, Fruit Milk Butterfly Juices, and Shaved Snow with the Fruit Teas offering the most flavors. I always end up with the classic milk tea when I'm testing out a place. The tea is good, it just taste like hot brewed tea with milk poured over ice. They do offer taro and honeydew milk tea. Prices are reasonable and you'll get the typical young adult crowd hanging out here with their group of friends or studying with their laptops. Parking is plentiful since it's in the same plaza as Sprouts and directly across from Rubios. read more

This place is located off Poway road in the same complex as Sprouts. The driveways from Poway road are somewhat low car friendly. You have room to angle your car into the parking lot. This place has shared parking with all the other business. To get into this place there is a door and you have to go left to open another door. To the right is a water store. They have some tails and some high chair sitting. The menu is clearly seen and they have some choices. They are still in the process of making more flavors. They do have lots of different boba. There aren't to many places to get boba in Poway. If I'm in the area I would go again. They have some nice interior design and the music isn't to loud. read more

Was here last week on a Monday and we wanted something to drink, so we saw that this place had recently opened up about a year ago-ish? This place is definitely one of the boba places I will never come back to. I have been to so many boba places and I can say that this is at rock bottom. If you happen to stumble across this place, I suggest looking for different options. Parking: Plenty of parking around the area. It is adjacent to walmart. Environment/Customer Service: When my cousin, sister and I walked in, we weren't greeted. The reason why I am expecting the employees to greet us, it's because they are a new shop so they have to try and get to know their customers. And it's such a small shop so it wouldn't hurt to use their customer service. I work in retail so I know what to expect in customer service. So, we came in and ordered our drinks, but the two employees who took our orders didn't even seem enthusiastic. Since it was our first time at this place, no one helped us decide what to order, no recommendations or no interactions from them whatsoever. I get it, customer service is not important to others, and the food/drink is the only thing people care about, but the environment plays a huge role as well. Menu: Not a lot of options, but plenty of unique drinks you can try from that you won't find at your regular boba joint. If you wanted regular milk tea, this is not your place cause they don't have it. Bonus, they have dairy-free milk options for us lactose intolerant. The price range is decent. Drinks: I got the iced strawberry matcha latte w/ almond milk. This is a plus one in my book because I'm lactose intolerant and I was happy to know they serve dairy-free milk options. The drink was alright, I have had better drinks tbh, but it was very interesting. The boba was too warm so it made the drink unpleasant to drink because it just made the whole entire drink warm. Stirring it with the ice didn't even help. Also, they are unlike any other boba places that use plastic sealed lids. So, be careful when you are poking the straw into the plastic lid cause it'll overflow a little. My sister ordered the reg iced matcha latte w/ almond milk, and she CLEARLY asked NO boba, but STILL got boba in her drink like OKAY?? I guess they didn't listen to her... My cousin ordered the iced thai milk tea and she even said she had better thai milk teas. The drinks weren't bad, but be wary of the customer service you'll get. For Poway it's nice to have a local boba spot and not have to head to Mira Mesa or Clairemont. The Boba Co. deserves more love from the boba community. Because of their unique location in Poway, they are tucked quite a ways away from the rest of the boba world. I'll admit, I was both excited yet skeptical, when I saw that there was a boba place opening in Poway. But having been here multiple times now, I can confidently say that this place serves up some of the best milk teas out there. Upon walking inside, you can immediately tell this isn't your basic boba shop. Instead of cutesy wall art, they opt for an old school rap feel with a huge mural of Notorious B.I.G. and lyrics from of one of his songs, customized and tailored to boba. Call me crazy, but I LOVED this change of scenery. As for their offerings, they offer 3 choices of milk, but most notably, they offer OAT MILK. They source this oat milk from a company in Sweden and it tastes incredible. I don't know of any other boba shop offering oat milk. My favorite teas here are the Jade Tea, Osmanthus Oolong Tea, and Earl Grey Tea (all with oak milk of course). Try these teas and I can guarantee you that you will taste the difference! Customer service is great too. The guys and gals here are very friendly and welcoming. I got a stamp card here because I know I'll be coming back again and again. As the eager one, I ventured in as soon as I realized they were official. The owners and a few other staff were they asking me every question possible about my options. I like a boba... Opened about 10 months ago in a plaza in Poway near Sprouts. One of their most popular is the Thai iced tea. Nice that you can adjust and customize the sweetness of your drink. The Thai iced tea is delicious and the Boba is a nice chewy texture. Only suggestion would be to be generous with the amount of Boba to give to customers. In a large size, only a few spoonfuls of boba. Another plus, the Hip-Hop theme they have going on with old school photos and music.
