Haven't been here for awhile as there are so many boba shops around now. This place has always had great variety of drinks here but the drinks were way too sweet for me. I don't remember if it was always this sweet. We should have ordered them 50-70% sweet. We ordered the peach milk tea with boba, KF milk green tea with boba, , mango creamsicle with boba, and mango slush with mango jelly. The boba was chewy and had a nice bounce. First time at this location and although my honeydew milk tea was good, the overall visit was just okay. Tried ordering on the kiosk when an employee noticed it wasn't working so he took our order. Young kid, seemed like he didn't want be there, especially because now we have to go thru him to order instead of the kiosk. Ugh, I can rant about this place all day long. They get me through my nights. I can successfully pull all-nighters to finish projects. The caffeine you get from Kung Fu Tea is far more superior to the morning drip coffees, as they utilize the Gongfu method to brew the perfect cup of tea. I didn't know much about this method until my husband told me. The innovative flavors and the non-dairy milk powders is why I stay loyal. Wintermelon milk green tea is absolutely the GOAT. If it's made in person, you can select 30%, extra ice. It's PERF for me. I tried doing 0% before but they didn't let due to natural sweetness. However, for convenience, 70% sweetness (the minimum) is only available through the KFT app and that sugar level works well enough for me. My secondary choices are the Taro Milk Green Tea or the Honey Oolong Milk Tea. The coffee series is subpar....it's good, but not that good. I'm a coffee fiend but they leave a rather weird aftertaste. The slushes are rather nice if you fancy a tropical flavor, like mango. And I recommend steering clear of the Thai Teas. However, I'm quite bias because I'm Thai and would only drink the "real deal" but this is just their rendition of it. I'm aware they revamped their recipe, but both the old and their new recipe still didn't make the cut for me. Maybe it does well in a pinch for cravings, who knows. In all, I recommend getting the Wintermelon Milk GT for your first time if you're looking to get hooked. OPT OUT OF TOPPINGS!!! Instead, get the full drink and savor the drink! For example, if you get the boba, it changes the flavor too much and makes it unbearably sweet. Their boba is kind of floral-y and honey-like, it kind of melts into whatever you drink so imo get the drink by itself first. If you like it enough, then drop by again the next day and get it with boba. I like aloe jelly but again, the topping has some "flavor" that changes the overall drink, and may ruin it for some. read more

Am I the last person to know that the milk teas here are made with Lactaid?! I came here with my cousin one night and was very happy to find out that Kung Fu Tea uses Lactaid for their dairy drinks because most Asians are lactose intolerant. How did I not know that?! I guess I will be coming here more often!...Not just because they use Lactaid, but also because their drink options are really great! When I saw the bathroom it totally killed my appetite for boba. The toilet is difficult to flush and was thus unflushed and there was dried dirtiness on the seat. The bathroom also feels gross overall so you don't really want to stay in there. They say you can tell the level of cleanliness of a food establishment from its bathroom. The drinks here are average, my winter melon milk tea was are almost as good as daboba's green milk tea (which also isn't that good, but the rancho Bernardo / Carmel mountain area is missing good boba spots). I agree with another Yelper who commented that the drinks are palatable.. the app pretty user friendly.. the point system is not bad.. but the service definitely could use some work (very hit or miss). It's convenient to have your drink ready to go.. but they do a very haphazard distribution of service/ prep on the drinks. It's located next to the Carmel Mountain Best Pizza and Brew.. in between Bev Mo and Krispy Kremes. The parking lot there isn't great but not too bad. It can get busy on weekends or after school hours. The drinks are standard.. a mix of milk tea, fruity, and coffee based drinks. The boba itself is not great.. but the drink will satiate a boba/milk tea itch. They did their best during covid times.. but overall it's just an average boba spot. Service is generally your local hs kids.. they can be nice.. but sometimes when the orders are mixed up during busy moments they are still learning how to handle the stress of the environment. Stopped in for some boba on a Friday night. There was a group of 5 of us and the person ringing us up patiently helped us as we figured out what we wanted. Every time I have gotten boba from here it's soft on the outside and hard in the middle. Cocoa Cream Wow Cap with Milk Cap: 1/5 I asked for a brown sugar black tea that I saw when I walked in and the cashier told me that they only had like a milk only version so I got that instead. As I walked out, I did see it again and realized she played me lol. The first very odd thing was that the boba was very hot. I know most places keep their boba warm so it doesn't seize up, but this was like almost boiling and made my whole drink lukewarm. The boba itself was a true felony. You would think that the boba would be soft and fresh since it was so hot, but mixed in with slightly overcooked pieces were balls that were either too old or undercooked. The center of the boba were like pebbles/uncooked pasta so I couldn't even finish the drink. The milk cap was okay though, slightly too runny for my taste. I do not recommend. read more

Let me preface this by saying I am a boba expert. Every other Kung Fu tea is good but this location NEEDS SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT. The drinks here are inconsistent and not as creamy as other locations. Our drink was supposed to be done at 4:12 PM (ordered through the app) and arrived right on time and STILL HAD TO WAIT. I was also NOT GREETED at all upon arrival. THE DRINK: Jasmine Green milk tea with boba. The boba was super HARD and inedible. It wasn't cooked properly. The drink was OK. I keep coming back here thinking it'll get better and I'm always DISAPPOINTED. It seems like these guys are going through some growing pains being that it's a new location.
