Beautiful boba tea shop in Poway! Very clean, plentiful indoor seating options with traditional tables, bar-setup seating, benches. There was plenty of parking. The service was friendly. Ordering was done the old fashioned way - verbally with a human! There are some drawbacks with that though with waiting in line to order and order accuracy. My drink was made fine, but my husband's 1st drink didn't have the right sugar level, and the 2nd drink he got had milk in it when he wanted the fresh tea option. My advice is to be very specific in your ordering and to triple check all aspects of your order on the visual display provided at the cash register. To be fair, each time I had the opportunity to visually confirm and I didn't. Milk defaults to a non-dairy creamer (which has milk protein) but you can get oat or almond milk instead. They have a range of toppings including cheese foam. They do not have sea cream. Each drink we got was delicious and their prices are comparable to other local shops. There is not outdoor seating. There also isn't any music playing (in case that matters-- no risk of expletives playing with kids around LOL). I think this used to be a Ding Tea. The cup had a Nova Boba sticker on it but the top said Ding Tea. A bit of a brand identity confusion, but maybe they are using through their supply. Definitely worth a visit! There are even games like Uno and Jenga available to further make you feel welcome to linger.

The Wintermelon milk tea here is really good! Although they are a bit slow sometimes when making the drinks, it's still a nice place to chill.

Great service! Decided to check this out after work and had a nice time. I didn't know what to get but Jero was super helpful and I got a taro milk tea with foam :) Definitely coming back soon!

Ok this place is legit delicious…read more The entrance is easy to locate in the plaza and you can order from the computer or a real human person, I know right. A real human, what? It's a cozy spot. The people who work there just seem happy and work well together. They're friendly and patient with me as I navigated their menu items. I could not decide what I wanted so I accidentally ordered 3 drinks: Roasted Oolong Milk Tea Osmanthus Oolong Milk Tea 3Q Milk Tea The roasted oolong was for my sister so I don't know how it was but she wanted another one so that should tell you all you need to know. lol I love floral teas and Osmanthus oolong is my new favorite and it delivered. I opted for the agar aka crystal pearls and that was the right choice for the floral tea. I also accidentally drank the 3Q tea after and while not my favorite, I appreciated all the toppings and the tea was still good. The boba is super unique! It's got a nice, chewy kinda texture. I have never had boba like this before and I wish I had blacked out and gotten double boba.

I…read moreremember it being a Rita's Italian Ice at one point, then a bubble waffle shop, and now it's BoBaPoP Tea Bar. Honestly, boba fits the area way better now, especially since more tea spots have been popping up around here. I stopped in for a quick drink and there was a steady flow of people coming in and out, which is always a good sign. Inside is clean and modern, very simple but put together. You can order at a kiosk or go up to the cashier, which makes it easy depending on what you prefer. The menu has a solid variety. All your usual milk teas, fruit teas, slushies, and blended drinks, plus a good amount of toppings. They were also advertising a matcha ice spinner which caught my attention, so I'll probably come back to try that and see how their matcha quality is. I went with a mango fruit tea at 75% sweetness and added boba. I sat outside while waiting, they have limited indoor seating but a couple tables outside which is nice. The drink came out in about five minutes, so pretty quick. First thing I noticed was there were actual mango pieces in the drink, not just syrup. That was a nice surprise and added a good texture. They were soft enough to go through the straw too, so it didn't feel annoying to drink. Flavor wise, I do wish I went lower on the sweetness. Even at 75% it was still a bit too sweet for me, but that's more personal preference. The part that didn't really hit was the boba. It was a little mushy and didn't have that chewy texture I usually look for. It also had this slightly artificial honey taste that kind of overpowered the drink a bit. Not terrible, just not my favorite. It's a solid and convenient spot for the area. Good variety, quick service, and a nice setup. I'd come back, but probably switch up the toppings next time.

I can see myself hanging out here drinking my boba and getting some work done. I got an original KF milk tea HOT with boba and 30% sweetness. Im definitely coming back here for several reasons: (1) walking distance, (2) fair prices, (3) excellent drink and (4) spacious and large cafe area. Tried ordering on the kiosk when an employee noticed it wasn't working so he took our order. Young kid, seemed like he didn't want be there, especially because now we have to go thru him to order instead of the kiosk. Ordered a Thai tea and he asked if normal Thai tea or Thai milk tea... tbh I've had boba for decades and never had anyone ask me that. Although in hindsight I eventually knew what he meant... I just thought a regular Thai tea would suffice since I order like that anywhere. Eh I was wrong, I guess I truly wanted the Thai milk tea. Still good but not what we wanted. Honeydew milk tea was great no issues. Nice shop, pretty spacious, but nobody inside during dinner time. Not sure if I'll come back

I guess given my age, I might be the Boba Madam lol. Ive had boba long before it became trendy in the US and the only place you could get a boba milk tea was in Taiwan. How I remember those holiday trips and never wanted to come back. Fast forward twenty more years and boba really started taking off once I was a grown adult and seeing them all around NYC. Its of much pride and joy that my ancestry is the place of boba. Ive had DaYungs in Phoenix and do like that they have fresh taro puree there and today when I came in here agter hot yoga, I tried a milk tea with taro puree and added boba, less ice and 30% sugar. I ordered at a contactless machine and before I could even finish checking in on Yelp, my drink was ready. This place is clean and not too much traffic when I came in. Its in a convenient location with a lot of restaurant choices in the area and ample parking. Drink was good, but still too sweet for me. Everything was good consistency and next time I'll just have to dial down the sugar even more. Id definitely return again, solid choice for a boba milk tea break!

I ordered the Roasted Oolong Tea ($5.79) and Boba ($0.75), and I love that they have roasted oolong, which I don't come across often at other tea shops. They also have some seasonal and limited drinks on their menu. We were about the only ones there, so they made our drinks pretty quickly. Everything was pretty good, just that nothing was outstanding about it either. The boba was nice and chewy, and were pretty consistent. The tea itself was flavorful and not too sweet, although it's because I adjusted the sweetness to it. It's another nice boba shop to go to as an option, but I wouldn't say that I would go out of my way for it. I would say I would go here more for convenience if I'm already in the area.

This place popped up at #1, and honestly that was enough for me. I didn't even read the reviews. When I pulled up, I almost drove right past it because it's tucked inside a liquor store. But hidden gems are usually called hidden for a reason. I walked in and asked what their most popular sandwich was. The guy recommended the California Club, which happens to be one of my go to sandwiches anywhere, so I told him to make that and add pickles because let's be honest, you gotta have pickles. Now I'm not gonna sugarcoat it, the guy making the sandwich took a sweet time. I mean almost a solid almost 10 minutes, and at one point I caught myself thinking, "This thing better be incredible." Well... it was incredible. Absolutely worth the wait. Fresh bread, stacked, flavorful, tactical, and one of those sandwiches where after the first bite you immediately stop caring how long it took. In fact, after the baseball game I went back a second time and grabbed a Cobb salad for my wife. Of course I had a few bites as a delivery tax. That thing was tremendous too. When I picture a really good Cobb salad, this is exactly what I want. Packed with egg, bacon, avocado, and just the right amount of blue cheese. Not skimpy at all. The salad also took longer than expected, but honestly I'd much rather wait a few extra minutes for food that's made right instead of rushed garbage. Well done. Easy five stars.
