Meet Fresh is one of my favorite places whenever I'm craving something refreshing. My go-to order is the Signature Grass Jelly over ice--it's always satisfying, not overly sweet, and perfect on a warm day. This visit, I had my usual Signature Grass Jelly while my friend ordered the tofu dessert. We both enjoyed our treats, and everything tasted fresh. My only wish is that the prices were a little lower because I'd definitely come here more often. Lol. My experience here was honestly a huge letdown. I ordered some shaved ice from this establishment and it was abysmal. It literally just tasted like plain ice. It wasn't even properly shaved, it was more like chopped-up ice chunks. We tried to bring it up to the staff, but they didn't really do anything about it. Also, the service overall was pretty abysmal. There's basically no real interaction. You're forced to order through a kiosk and it takes forever to navigate through their massive catalog of options. Maybe I ordered the wrong drink, fresh milk green tea with taro paste, but it was gross. The drink looked appealing when I picked it up, but the cup was cold on top and really warm on the bottom. The heat melted a lot of my ice before I picked it up so the tea was very diluted. The taro paste was huge warm chunks of hot taro. It didn't taste good and it was hard to eat/drink. I do not recommend Meet Fresh. The shaved ice looked good so maybe that is what everyone was getting. The ordering was easy--zero human interaction though they still asked for a tip at the kiosk. Boba runs are supposed to be simple. Walk in, order something sweet, and walk out happy. Meet Fresh usually fits that vibe with its Taiwanese desserts and milk teas which is why I decided to stop by. This place is great for studying. There's a wide range of table seating and WIFI is also provided. Though I came just for a quick visit to grab a boba drink to go. Here's what I noticed. This place is super inconsistent. There's a weird old milk smell that lingers around the shop sometimes and several menu items are often unavailable or marked off the menu with tape. It gives the place a trashy essence even though the shop tries to promote a clean modern aesthetic. Some of the booth seating leather or material is ripped from wear and tear which also makes the place look a little under maintained. There are two kiosks that you can order from which helps the employees out and gives customers the ability to see menu pictures and customize their drinks however they would like. I ordered the green tea with boba and fluffy which is their soft top foam. I have been to Meet Fresh before and have previously seen that they have a fluffy green tea option but didn't find it on the kiosk today which was weird since all the ingredients are available. Again inconsistent. I got my drink with half sugar. My sister got a green milk tea and mentioned that there was no option for no sugar which was strange since most boba shops allow that customization. There's almost no interaction with the staff as they send you an "order ready" text to your phone number you provide at the kiosk and then leave the drink there for you to grab at the counter. Most times there is an employee there to verify which drink is yours especially when it's busy but not today. My drink came out super sweet almost like 100 percent sweet. I even overheard one of the other guests mention that their dessert tasted like eating straight up sugar. Most Asian desserts usually lean on the less sweet side so I'm not sure what's going on but I definitely have had better experiences here last year. On the bright side the boba itself was nicely cooked and chewy. The pearls had a good texture. l also really liked the fluffy topping because it adds a creamy foam layer that brings extra richness to the drink and balances the tea pretty well. read more

They have two self-serve kiosks for ordering but the UI is challenging to navigate so the line moved very slowly despite only two groups in front of us. I ordered a winter melon tea with lemon. My friends ordered a pudding and mochi shaved ice. My winter melon tea was ok but the shaved ice was a disaster. The ice was chunky and nearly impossible to eat. Fun dessert shop in Mira Mesa. Parking is a pain, this strip mall is always busy due to the In-N-Out, Daiso, and HMart market. Very cute decor inside. The service is ok, you don't really interact with any of the employees until they call your number, since you order through the self-serve tablet. We ordered the Q Mochi shaved ice. The dessert is huge, easily sharable for 3-4 people. It has lots of mochi, melon jelly, potaro balls, ice cream, coconut flakes, condensed milk, and some caramel sauce. Tried to order on small kiosk, but it didn't work (it doubles as an employee tablet and was dirty). So the employee was nice to take our order. Plenty of table inside. Place is pretty clean. I just wanted a caramel pudding without boba, so instead of making me pay full price for pudding without boba, she added it on to an existing dessert and just added extra pudding for 1.25$ is didn't have to pay 10$! That was really helpful amd awesome of her. There are plenty of tables to sit at and bring your laptop to chill. Its a relaxed setting. This review is only for boba tea. I feel like I got something wrong. I went here to get some Boba tea and everyone else was getting something else. They did only offer one size for tea and they did not skimp on those bobas. The size of the tea was fairly large that we probably could have shared between two people. I've got black milk, tea, and jasmine milk tea. But they were very sugary that we couldn't even finish the whole tea ourselves. However, I did like the texture of Boba so it makes up for it, and the price is pretty fair. It's right next to the H Mart in Mira Mesa so the parking can be a little bit hectic. I used to absolutely love Meet Fresh. For years, my go-to order was the hot grass jelly and the lemon wintermelon iced tea. The quality was always consistent, and I genuinely looked forward to it every time. But over the past few months, something has changed--and not in a good way. The drinks and desserts are clearly being watered down. The hot grass jelly used to be rich and concentrated; you could literally see it thicken and coagulate as it cooled, which is how you know it's made properly. Now it stays thin and soupy, with none of the texture it should naturally have. The lemon wintermelon iced tea has taken an even bigger hit. It used to be bright and flavorful, with a good balance between lemon and wintermelon. These days, it tastes like slightly sweetened water. You can barely taste the lemon at all. I also tried the sago recently and it was awful. Instead of being chewy and bouncy, the pearls were mushy--completely overcooked and honestly pretty gross. I really hope Meet Fresh listens to their customers and fixes this. If they keep cutting corners and watering everything down, I don't see how they'll stay in business for much longer. It is a small establishment so the 2 kiosks where you place your order can be tied up if the place is busy. There are several tables and seats and you bus your tray when you have finished. We ordered the Crystal Mochi Milk Shaved Ice which is a large volcano-like mound of shaved ice covered with sweet condensed milk and topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Surrounding the bottom of the mound are red beans, rice balls, melon jelly pieces, and crystal mochi (clear mochi with red beans filling) sitting on leaves. Perfect icy treat on a hot day! I've missed out on Meet Fresh and having just tasted this for the first time this weekend makes me feel so late in the game lol. We were out here visiting family and my niece treated us to have Meet Fresh. This Taiwanese chain is located on Mira Mesa Blvd near Daiso and H Mart. We shared a "Mangoberry", which was half Strawberry and half Mango shaved ice (like a Japanese Kakigori) with topped with a vanilla ice cream. This reminded me of Guppy Tea House that I used to visit 20 years ago in the OC. I liked the ice because it had a "fine" texture (not as fine or sharp as snow cones but a delicate-for-your-tongue and stays-icy texture). My niece ordered one of their Icy Grass Jelly with taro balls, mochi and sesame balls. Unfortunately, I was not a fan of it as the grass jelly had a slightly bitter aftertaste. There were plenty of seats when we came. Orders were done via the kiosk. And it was super packed inside this shop. They also had drinks like iced teas, smoothies, and egg waffles available. I have walked past this place many times and I finally decided to try it. When we got there the guy taking our order said there was a 10 minute wait on ordered and aggressively tapped on a sign above him that said there was a wait. The shaved ice was not impressive at all.. it melted into itself so fast and hardened which made it super hard to eat with the plastic spoons they provided.
