Superficial observation: Without seeing a sign that says it's a boba place, when you look in it doesn't appear like it'd be a place that sells food or beverages. I'm not against minimalism, but IMHO the interior could use a few touches that draw you in from the sidewalk and indicate that there's boba tea and donuts. More seriously: I really dislike giving unflattering reviews for small businesses. In this case, I hope the business sees this and maybe makes improvements. But there were a few issues of cleanliness that had me nervous. And the coffee I ordered took almost 15 mins to come out and had a really unfortunately soapy aftertaste. Cleanliness: Minimalism can be look very chic, but if your chosen aesthetic is white and gold/chrome, you've got to keep it clean. This cafe needs a good deep clean. I was grossed out to see oil and dirt smudges on the backs and seats of the white leather chairs, like no one has wiped them down on a regular basis. The panel molding on the walls looks sleek and clean from far away, but once I sat down I could see a lot of dust. The counter where you pick up your order had a lot of dirt and remnants of spilled beverages at the base. The decor adjacent to the serving area was also really dusty. The chrome garbage bin could contribute to a modern, clean look but it looks grungy and sticky. It's the lack of attention to detail in cleanliness in the front of house that made me worry about what the prep areas might also look like. Beverages: I got an Americano and a mango fruit tea with lychee. The fruit tea was delicious and the lid and straw situation is actually unique and cute. That's where we're getting the two stars from. The Americano coffee on the other hand was really disappointing. For over five dollars, I was hoping for a good quality cup of joe. Despite it not being busy, it took nearly 15 mins before I was handed a coffee in a Christmas cup (it's April so maybe that should've been my sign that they've got Christmas cups bc no one likes the coffee?) that initially tasted ok, but then finished with a really soapy aftertaste. I had 3 different people taste it--everyone agreed it had a dish soap-like aftertaste that spoiled the coffee. Normally, I might ask for a do-over since it was pretty gross. But I didn't have another 10-15 mins to risk getting another soapy coffee. I seriously feel bad calling this place out. I wanted to like it! But at the very least I hope it inspires a deep clean and more care making sure they thoroughly rinse out coffee brewing equipment after washing it. Even if I'd only gotten the yummy mango fruit tea, the cleanliness issues still would've had me distressed. So two stars for now. Sorry!

My husband and I stopped by Boba Kafe and really enjoyed our drinks! I got the Strawberry Crème, and my husband ordered the Strawberry Pineapple Slush. Both were super refreshing and had great flavor without being overly sweet. One thing I really liked is that you can customize the sweetness level, whether you prefer less sugar or extra sweet. The customer service was good, and they also have a kiosk if you prefer to place your order that way. The inside is very clean, modern, and aesthetic, making it a nice place to relax. We'll definitely be back to try some of their lattes next time!

Friendly staff, just limited on options unfortunately. I got a matcha for myself & a taro for my husband- the matcha tasted a little too powdery than usual places & the taro was overly sweet. I saw they had pastries on their reviews but the display case was empty upon my visit. Price was decent for what it was but didn't feel worth it.

Bright, minimalistic boba shop near the Montclair mall. They have a kiosk to order from and I chose to get two mochi donuts to try alongside a jasmine milk tea. I like that the jasmine had a strong tea flavor and the donuts were soft and did taste like what they're advertise flavor says. I got a Dubai chocolate mochi which had a strong pistachio flavor and a rice crispy treat flavor that tasted like fruity pebbles cereal. They have a stamp card, staff is nice and the place is clean.

No regret getting Vietnamese Coffee in this place. Taste is quite legit while the Blended Mango was tasted quite sweet to me, I would recommend to adjust the sweetness for whoever not fan of sweet drink. Decor is minimalist and refreshing. Order is through self-service kiosk however the staff is more than happy to assist if there's any questions. Recommended!!

We came here for an early Mother's Day post dinner dessert and got Boba for the entire huge family! The boba was pretty delicious. When you walk in you order via a pos. I would have like for some customer service welcome or greeting or someone to ask questions regarding any of the drinks but there was no one in the front. Regardless ... still ordered and it was delicious.

I wanted to try somewhere new that's close to the mall and found this place with great reviews. It's in a plaza and the inside look really nice and clean. Me and my family decided to try the Thai Tea Crème with boba, Artisan Milk Tea, and Peach Strawberry Fruit Tea. The Thai Tea Crème was delicious and creamy. The boba was soft and chewy. The Peach Strawberry Fruit Tea was refreshing and wasn't super sweet compared to other places I had try. It was perfect. The Artisan Milk Tea was yummy. I definitely would order all these drinks again and would like to try something new too. Even my family loved it! The staff were very friendly and helpful.

I came here during the week pretty soon after they opened and there was just one person ahead of me. It's a small space with the few tables and chairs, clean and bright. Ordering at the kiosk was straight forward and you can have your receipt texted or emailed to you. I got the Tiger milk tea with oat milk and brown sugar boba. It was delicious. Boba texture and brown sugar flavor were spot on too. Price was 6.49 after tax, which isn't bad and I appreciate that there was no extra charge for oat milk. I would definitely come back!

8/6/25 Cute little boba shop with delicious drinks & friendly service! (And I covered all the basics with my intro hahaha). It was too hot to go home just yet & Hubby wanted some slushy boba drink. This place is the closest & open until 10 pm-- BONUS! It's the only business open in the little strip mall. There was a kiosk to order & it was very easy to navigate, I ordered & paid in about 3 minutes coz I knew what I wanted (plus a customer was breathing down my neck behind me so I had to hurry). Your receipt is texted to your phone once you enter your digits. In about 5 minutes, my drinks were ready- pretty specific, less sweet n less ice, got it! Perfect! What a sweet treat! Hubby says it's close to the flavor & consistency as Lollicup, his preference. Will likely return.

Ordered the strawberry matcha and earl grey milk tea. We loved that it was not overly sweet and the tea was fragrant though not too strong. Also the service was great. Also very clean location and everything was customer-friendly. Will highly recommend if ever in the area

Great find! Love the decor, very soothing and sophisticated. It was easy to order from kiosk. I ordered an Earl Grey Milk tea, 50% sweet, brown sugar boba, Oatmilk. Yum I'm coming back and trying other drinks like a matcha or a latte.

I was in the area looking at some new homes. I yelped to see if there were any boba places to pick up a refreshing drink. Boba kafe popped up and seemed promising. The place is a cute spot, clean, and tables to study. I chatted with the owner and decided to do a pineapple Green tea with boba. The owner was nice and followed up after to see if I liked my drink. The drink was decent and boba was normal tasting. If I lived in the area I would probably stop by for a study session and some boba. The aesthetic of the store is inviting and so is the owner.

I don't usually come to the Montclair area, but I stopped by to grab some boba for my mom and me. I originally wanted the taro drink, but they were out, so I went with two strawberry pineapple drinks instead. At first sip, I couldn't quite figure out what it tasted like--then it hit me... a Big Stick popsicle! One of my childhood favorites. I really enjoyed it! The shop is a cute little space, and the staff was friendly, which made the visit even better. Glad I stopped by and would come back again if I'm in the area!

It's not awful, but it tastes frugal. I arrived at Almond Haus Cafe (Claremont) on Sunday (around 12:20PM). Parking is easy. The lot is very big. My immediate impression of the location's interior is "abandoned warehouse." There's cardboard boxes lying about; the lights are dim & gloomy; and the furniture & walls looked old and poorly maintained. There were no customers, other than myself. Staff zipped out from the back when I'd entered. There's no self-service kiosks, so customers order at the counter. Staff is friendly and welcoming. After receiving my drink, Staff vanished into the back for the entire time. The drink took one minute and six seconds. Fast!! As mentioned, the Brown Sugar Milk Tea ($5.50) with Boba (additional 79 cents) is not awful. It's big, cheap, and thirst-quenching. Although the boba lacked any perkiness, I did appreciate its very small sweetness. Concerning the ambiance, it felt sad. Chairs had mysterious black stains, dust & webs gripped the windows' corners, yellow & aged plants lazed about, and lights stayed dimly lit like a haunted house. However, there's utility. Almond Haus Cafe (Claremont) has six electrical outlets. There's also customer internet with password; details on the plastic countertop. And there's a restroom for customers. In addition, the floors and tables are fairly clean. Overall, Almond Haus Cafe (Claremont) feels like a forgotten relic of time. At the very minimum, it's an adequate establishment. If you're searching for affordability and a place to study/work, there's potential. 3.3 out of 5

Most boba spots are SO sugary even when asking for "light" sweetness, and it's honestly such a struggle for someone who can't hang, but Bee & Tea does the job well. Their teas taste freshly brewed and for once, I can actually taste the tea! Their boba is usually nicely cooked, not warm (pet peeve of mine) and again, not overly sweet. I get mine 25-30% sweetened everytime and its perfect for someone like me who just can't handle the sugar high. My partner loves their Thai tea and gets it at the normal sweetness levels and agrees, its not OVERLY sweet, while also being sweet enough. They also offer the option of adding condensed milk on the inside of the cup for extra sweetness if you'd like. The inside is always clean and super cute and quirky art on the wall. The service is always nice. I haven't had the food, so I can't speak on that, but for teas...this is by far my favorite spot!

The indoor seating is geared for hanging out. There are no tables for studying or getting work done. There is plenty of parking as it is located in a shopping center. I tried the Sea Salt Jasmine Green Milk Tea, which comes with lychee jelly and matcha. I asked for 50% sweetness. The lychee, being at the bottom of the cup was in my first few slurps. The jasmine tea flavor was not too strong and not too weak. The quality of the jasmine tea was okay. I did not taste any sweetness in the tea itself, and even upon swishing the tea and lychee, I did not taste the sweetness at all. But it was cold, and I was quite thirsty. The finish was quite nice...the sweet and salty completed the drink with flavor. It was then that I remembered that matcha was part of the drink...it wasn't in the tea but was sprinkled into or on top of the sea salt cream. I did not taste the matcha at all until i licked up the remaining sea salt cream. Even then I could barely taste the matcha. Overall, i enjoyed the experience and would return again.

Options were tic tac toe, guess the Sunright drink, or boba trivia. I played and got the white peach oolong milk tea in a can, which was really generous. Shortly after, staff came around to take our orders outside the store so that they could begin prepping and shorten the wait time once we went in to pay.
