In the summer of 2021, The Bob Cat emerged stronger and better than ever. Owner Erin has managed TBC&B through the Covid-19 storm and it is thriving! +. Ambiance is more casual than before. They reserve 50% of tables and the other half is for walk-ins. They have a bar seating for food and they are FCFS. Reserve days ahead if you don't want to wait. It was a full house when we visited... common for restos that are open this season as I've not seen VT this crowded. ++. Food was more F2T and innovative from their prior pub fare. Loved their refreshing cucumber noodle salad and the enchiladas. Their enchiladas verde was one of the best I've had and wasn't soupy like many TexMex mess. Erin said they are changing the menu every two weeks now. So check or call before you visit. Beverage wise, they serve some local brews and sodas, but apparently NO Coke products! ++. Price is reasonable. Better value than before. +. Service was mostly good and friendly. I think the staff may have been overwhelmed with so many customers. +. Parking is street and free Actually visited as a destination this season twice rather than a sustenance stop post hikes. The Bob Cat has creative and interesting edibles that's worth a stop! Enjoy! MY RATINGS - - - Inhumane - - Disgusted - Don't bother = Missed the Mark + Good ++ Better +++ EDIBLE...WHERE have you been all my LiFe!

I enjoyed the experience of dining at this fine establishment twice. I ordered the bobcat smash burger, the garlic dry rub wings, and the mussel stew. All the entrées were superbly prepared and incredibly delicious. The service and ambiance were equally exceptional. The burger is the best I've had in Vermont, and the wings were nothing short of spectacular. The mussel stew was sensationally good; totally the most awesome dish I've had this year.

We didn't have reservations but we were able to get a seat at a high table. Their service was awesome, and the food was delicious! I got the mushroom cheddar risotto on squash and my partner got the enchiladas. Both were really good, the risotto in squash was delightfully sweet and salty, and the crispy quinoa definitely added texture and crisp to the dish. I also loved the atmosphere & look of the restaurant, would definitely come here again.

The Tillerman is located about 5 minutes from downtown Bristol. The restaurant is inside an inn that is popular for their outdoor weddings. +++. Ambiance is idillic Vermont farm inn. Beautiful grounds and surprisingly large restaurant. The restaurant feels intimate as it is divided into many rooms. They have a wood burning oven for their pizzas. We sat in an intimate nook with a view of their front garden. +++. Food is new American and pizze. Interesting, creative and insanely delicious cuisine. +++ beef tartare - first tartare I've consumed more than a bite! +. Shrimp skewer- perfect temp but a little fishy for me. Others liked it though ++. Green salad - loved the presentation and tasty. Though flavorful, some bread crumbs were gravelly. Will skip bread crumbs next time. +++. Funghi pizza - fragrant blue oyster mushrooms on thin sourdough (they use a mix of several flours) crust. Though the bread crumbs are reminiscent of bacon bits, will skip it next time. Even so, the best mushroom pizza eva! ++. Orange sunrise mocktail was sweet and refreshing ++. Price is high but oh, so worth it! Very good value for the quality +++. Service is attentive and informative. Ian, our waiter was great! ++. Parking is a private lot TT is my new favorite resto in VT replacing HOTW. They are mindful and don't use seed oils and support local producers. TT is truly a farm to table resto that delivers interesting dishes beyond their delicious pizze. They are doing a wonderful job, and I am so, so glad they didn't come and go like the other restaurants in that spot before it. You probably knew that from the other reviews, but I have another reason I am writing this. I came here with my husband one night months ago, and he got a cocktail that had cherry and bourbon as the main flavors. I stole most of it from him :D. It was so good that every time I get another cocktail somewhere else, even if it is good, I just wish it was the cherry bourbon one. So, if you're there and they still have it on the menu, I suggest you get it. And if the establishment is reading this, my vote is to keep that one around.

The good: the server & the chocolate cake…read more The bad: the wait. There were 4 of us. We were told it would be a half hour; not too bad. We got our little buzzer and we were told to stay within a half mile. We sat outside across the street on a bench. We watched numerous groups of 3+ go in and not come back out, which means they were seated. When, after 40 minutes, we were called in, none of those groups were at the bar. Kinda makes you wonder. We ordered cokes. $5 each and got refills, but when the bill came was shocked to be charged for every refill! We spent more on cups of Coke than the actual effing meal!!! Ordered the steak medium. It was rare. Oh well, was hungry and didn't want to wait any longer. But it was good. Buffalo chicken cheese curd fries were good, but chicken was dry. The cheesecake was not tasty at all. The burger was "mid," according to my son.
