Wow, this is a find! It's very small with no reservations so arrive early. Open Wed-Sat. Service is great and they really take pride in their food. The oysters are amazing! Fresh and tasty. We got a platter of a dozen oysters for $26 and were treated to 3 different kinds: one from Massachusetts and 2 kinds from Maine. I loved one of the Maine kinds and the other Maine oysters were a favorite as well. Affordable and some of the best oysters I've ever had. Tuna sashimi and spicy tuna salad are both well worth it - fresh and amazing flavor. We loved the watercress salad that came with most of our dishes - I'm not sure I even knew I liked watercress before this. The shrimp cocktail was good but small and again fresh. Fingerlings potatoes were great but small and could do with less stuff on it - cheese and bacon are plenty. Chicken tacos had super fresh cilantro and lime. Seafood roll - my other half liked it better than I did as I felt that the squid rings seem to overpower the dish for me - the brioche roll was lightly toasted and buttered to perfection. The presentation of all the dishes is appealing and professional. The menu is hard to describe - super fresh ingredients resulting in a slightly ever evolving menu, almost a dozen different "drinking snacks" including a number of dips - raw oysters, raw clams, raw tuna and a few tacos and sandwiches - bigger portions than a tapas plate but not a full sized dinner plate. Parking can be a bit confusing as it's on the other side of the Hen of the Woods (we used that parking lot - just make sure you pay because they will ticket) and the place is hard to find as it seems surrounded by the Tropic Brewing. Overall, we can't wait to go back for more - top picks are oysters and tuna dishes.

Went here on my birthday during vacation to have a few drinks that were absolutely lovely! We got a cheesy potato dish (forgive me, I cannot remember the name) that was incredible. The bartender was great and they brought out an amazing dessert after my boyfriend let it slip that it was my birthday. Will definitely come back if we're in the area again!!

I've been wanting to check this place out since it opened and was glad my neighbor friends wanted to go in tonight. Tucked away behind the main set of well known restaurants, It's a cozy place with just enough tables to keep the kitchen staff and bartender hopping. It's clear they work well together; it's a tiny cooking area and that was well orchestrated. The food we saw coming out looked amazing. I love raw oysters, and as we'd just had dinner before we came in, it'll definitely be a must have next visit. I heard him say that the dozen were 4 different varieties delivered fresh from Rhode Island, Maine and two other locations I didn't catch. The deviled eggs were generously stuffed as were the sandwiches I saw being served. My companions have been here twice before and loved the food. There's something for everyone in a range of prices. That's pretty awesome. The cocktails were delicious. I had the Respect your elders, which was made with gin, St Germaine, lavender. Very tasty, though I would've preferred a little more of the elderflower liqueur vs gin. My neighbor got the browned butter bourbon old fashioned which was to die for. The owners are hustling as hard as the other staff and even though busy, were offering genuine smiles and wished us a good night on our way out. It's a nice, newish unpretentious yet high quality neighborhood dining establishment in Waterbury. I look forward to my next visit.

If I lived here, I'd be here every week... multiple times a week. Had the deviled eggs, oysters, crab dip. It was all amazing. Staff/owners were great.

Shitty service. We were ignored and then they gave our table away to people who were there after us.

Despite the packed house, servers were friendly and reasonably attentive, and while the food came out slow, that's to be expected. I wouldn't say it was unreasonable at all considering the volume, AND they were churning out a ton of to-go orders. No televisions in here, which I loved, and a great vibe. Tons of people just having a great time. Great non-alcoholic drink menu. About to celebrate three years of sobriety, and I truly appreciate that. The food was good-great, depending. My wife got a salad with pulled pork and I got the brisket. Both were just "fine" and the meats desperately needed sauce. The brisket was pretty dry, which was disappointing. We also split a side of the smoked mushrooms, which we thought were good, and the pasta salad, which was unfortunately quite bland and not very noteworthy at all despite using pasta from the acclaimed Gallus. Now here's the sleeper: the dry rub wings were incredible. Some of the best I've ever had! Don't miss out on these just because they're on the appetizer menú. If I came back I'd just get a double order of these bad boys. Sweet and smoky and cooked to perfection. Absolute 10/10.

We got a table on the patio and honestly could've stayed there all night -- the views are gorgeous, especially as the light started to fade. Food-wise, we didn't hold back. The focaccia arrived first and was gone in minutes -- pillowy, golden, and impossible to stop picking at. The cacio e pepe was rich and perfectly peppery, a simple dish done exactly right. And the lasagna stole the show -- layered, deeply flavorful, and clearly made with real care in-house. Between the setting, the pasta, and the overall atmosphere, this was one of the best meals we've had in Vermont in a while. Already planning our next visit.

We were in the area just for that day, so we hoped to get lucky to be walk-ins, as the earliest reservation was 8pm. We got there at what we thought was 5pm and asked what the wait would be for walk-ins or if we could be seated at the bar, and the person I believe was the hostess had an attitude about it and said it was impossible to know until 5pm. I looked at the clock on my phone, and it was 4:59pm and several seconds. Instead of waiting another ten seconds for her to then be able to answer us, we decided we did not need that kind of snooty, negative energy on our vacation and went to The Reservoir down the road instead where we ended up having an amazing experience with far friendlier service.

It was a gorgeous day and we were able to sit outside, which I really enjoyed. They were umbrellas above us, which were much needed when it started to drizzle! I enjoyed the waiter, although my wife did not. He talked a lot and everything I asked him was his favorite. It didn't seem genuine. Especially when the table sat down next to us and everything they wanted or was his favorite too. We were disappointed that the one thing we wanted on the menu was not available for food. They're mocktails were a normal price and their cocktails were a little pricey, but well worth it for the craft that they were doing. I enjoyed both of the cocktails that I had, although was disappointed that they didn't have the monkey brains cocktail that I wanted anymore. Overall, it was a cute place and I'd probably go back to have a cocktail.

The cocktail menu is expansive with something for everyone. We went with the "I'm Eggnogstic" which was "a decadent custard with maple syrum, bourbon and rum, & whipped egg whites". We also got a hot drink called "Hot Buttered Yum" which consisted of Flor de Cana 5yr rum, brownie batter, cinnamon, butter, brown sugar, and was topped with toasted marshmallows. Both drinks were delicious, prepared well, and were aesthetically pleasing as well. I wish the Eggnogstic was a little larger - I think it was about 3 ounces? The Hot Buttered Yum was served in an oversized mug. The vibe here was great - perfect place for couples, a girls night, or just friends out for a before dinner or after dinner drink. I loved that it was busy enough, but still quiet enough for a conversation.
