Kielbasa hot dogs and Queen City Porter
    Andy B.

I played Basin Harbor Golf and was looking for the 19th hole. No luck as the snack bar at the club house was closed. The Red Mill Inn was plan B and did not disappoint offering a nice selection of local craft beers and a decent lunch menu. I had the Kielbasa hot dog with fries. It hit the spot. I washed down my food with the Queen City Porter on tap. Very good! I recommend lunch after a round of golf at Basin Harbor!

When Pigs Fly appetizer. Great presentation!

This place was an awful lot of fun. We ate there two nights while staying at Basin Harbor. The first night was superb and the second night was very good...not quite as perfect. The gem salad is a gem: light dressing, delicious fresh greens, surprise note of candied pistachio. When Pigs Fly appetizer was the most unusual presentation I can recall. What a hoot. My husband's two mains were chicken and waffles the first night and steelhead trout the second, both more than competently prepared with interesting flavor complements. The very best thing on the menu has to be the s'mores skillet, a dessert that will satisfy any sweet tooth, but you should definitely consider splitting one!

Pretty pricey, upfront staff not well trained. Didn't know menu, put wrong things in. Food okay but not outstanding.

Not worth a trip. Totally passable but uninspired and overpriced. And air conditioning was blasting. Way too cold.

We were in town and our friend, who lives in the area, was very excited to take us to this place so we went as his guests. I was unimpressed and very disappointed with our experience. For a brewery they don't have much beer on tap, and my burger was burnt and had no flavor. Bar tender, a very young girl, was rude and ignored us the whole time we were there. I added one star because they let us eat on the counter behind the bar, otherwise they would only get 1 star. I left the bar smelling like burnt food and grease.

The edamame hummus with flatbread was so good, could have used a bit more bread though. We were happy with our dinner for the most part, one had the taco salad with salmon and was happy but I had a dish called Bibimbap with salmon that said Crispy Sesame Rice which was what I was after. It came in a small cast iron pan so I was excited and expected crispy rice! I didn't get it though, the rice was just there, Not crispy! Very disappointing! Bobby Flay would scoff at this poor excuse, we know what crispy rice is suppose to be like. The dish should just say with rice since I didn't get a hint of sesame either.

It gets busy and they don't take reservations. They do have an online waitlist but we went around 4:30 and didn't have to utilize it. Our party of 6 climbed camel's hump earlier in the day and showed up famished. We knew this was the right pig out spot for us to refuel from the moment we walked in, smelled the food and saw the amazing ceiling-high bar. The smoked meats were outstanding. High quality cuts smoked to perfection. We had an order of every meat they offer and they were all just as good. That being said, I could go back just for the cornbread w maple butter. My word, it was like eating cake for dinner. The Mac & cheese was ooey and gooey with a nice crispy top. And the cookie skillet was like a party in your mouth. We didn't think we'd be able to finish everything but there wasn't a crumb to be found when we were done. As far as service goes, it was as good as I've ever had at a place like this. Our server was laid back yet always on top of things. We never waited for anything and her timing was perfect. There's outdoor seating if that's your jam. We sat in the large table by the window and got to look out on main st. It couldn't have been more perfect.

Two Brothers was the choice from the desk so we went with it and so glad we did. Place looked pretty busy, bar was full, we were seated pretty much right away. The menu is smaller (perfect amount of items , hate too many choices) but done well. We love doing shareable so we can try a bunch of different things. The mussels were the absolute show stopper here, different than most. Tequila, spicy, little bits of sausage, (i would have drank the broth or made this a soup it was so good) The Poutine was different than I was used to, it was our least favorite but still ok. This is just a personal preference but I'm used to being smothered in gravy, it was almost non existent. It's like the ere was a ladle on the bottom and fries on top so didn't get a lot of it. The street corn dip was really good, much different than others I've had as well but in a really good way. It was hearty with lots of corn, had some nice spice to it. We also had (not pictured) French onion soup, loved it, nice peppery, piping hot. The cheddar ale soup, best I've had, literally you can taste all the components of this, rich, thick, creamy, sharp cheddar with a hint of the ale in the background. For dessert we took the donut holes to go, the colors dip was amazing, the chocolate looked like it was seized up a bit, we also ate this a little later so it could have been us and not from then. This looks like a super fun place to belly up at the bar, it has the hometown feel , we are already planning a stop on our drive back later this week!

The locals mushroom were a deep fried bunch of oyster mushrooms with a mayo pepper-based sauce drizzled on top. Very juicy and meaty bite! The burger was ok, not my favorite.
