This is The Bone Adventure's new second location. My dogs have been to the original location (I have a separate 5 star review on the original location's Yelp page); Seeing the awesome pictures of the new location and finding out that they were already open for business (although they hadn't had their official grand opening yet because the people areas are still being worked on), I recently dropped the dogs off at the new location to check it out. Look at their website pictures of the yard - they speak for themselves. I call The Bone Adventures "Doggy Disneyland." When I saw the dog sleeping area, I was ecstatic. The dogs don't sleep in crates or cages. There is one large room that looks like a big open, airy, living room with a couple real couches, a car shaped bed, a bunk bed and a couple dog beds. The dogs all have a choice of what furniture in that room they want to sleep on whether it be the couches, car bed, bunk bed or dog beds!!! And one person stays the night in the same room with the dogs! The bunk bed is there because it provides a spot for the person to sleep by him/herself if they don't want to be sharing the bed with say 15 other dogs. (I could not stop telling people about this when I went on my little vacation. Lol.) My dogs were here for 3 1/2 days. They were dead tired when we picked them up and they went to bed immediately when we got home. They literally then slept for about 19 hours!!! That is not like them at all. They were so tired that they could not care less to interact with us or really move around much - they woke up here and there but just went back to sleep. They didn't even go back to normal interaction with us/moving around until two days after we picked them up. read more

I let my small breed Multipoo to go socialize with other dogs when I drop her off for grooming. They also did a good job for shampoo and cut as usual. Ran a temperament test there for my dog, and was glad that staff were helpful to make her comfortable while providing a helpful assessment on her behavior. read more

My 8-month-old dog, Rabbit, hadn't been socialized and was still a little anxious around other dogs when he started doggie day care at Bone Adventure a month ago. Now, I've got a different dog! He's become much more confident, handles himself better on walks and at the bark park. And he's so happy! When he sees I've turned the car onto Bristol, he starts pacing the back seat in excitement. I have nothing but raves for every aspect of my experience with The Bone Adventure. Their web site is well designed and the forms online make signing up and understanding pricing easy. I'm incredibly grateful for the schedule flexibility--I don't need to let them know if my dog is going to miss a day, or if I'm going to make up one of those days and bring him in on the weekends. The facilities are great--clean, well designed, lots of space and water attractions! The staff, every single person I've interacted with has been remarkable. They genuinely seem to enjoy ALL the dogs. They eased Rabbit into "the pack" gently, letting him get comfortable at his own speed. I don't know how they do it, but they all know his name, they know what he likes, who he likes to play with. They are amazing! When my daughter was young, I couldn't find a daycare that had staff as bright, organized, attentive, friendly, communicative, etc,, as the staff at The Bone Adventure. We were referred to "the Bone" by our Veterinarian. We went to check it out and first impression, it is a resort for dogs. After meeting with the owner, "Bear" sat down for his interview to make sure he would play well with others. He passed no problem, and like the first day of school he had to be up to date with all of his vaccinations. This protects both him and the other "guests". Bear knows when he is within 2 miles of "The Bone" and starts circling in the back of the Tahoe until we park. As soon as he gets inside the lobby he lets out a loud howl to let all the other guests know he is there and listens for his friends to answer back. We can watch him play on their webcams and when we pick him up he is whooped. The staff is great and know how to handle their guests. This is quite a job considering there could be over 50 guests to take care of at any one time. This is an old nursery that didn't make it and set up perfect for day care. Big trees, tunnels, waterfalls, pools and plenty of room for big dogs to run and play. I highly recommend The Bone for everyone that wants a safe place to take their precious pup. Regarding the review by Komelia, real estate is a little pricier in OC than Florida and like they say, "You get what you pay for". They have ample staff and there is a lot of maintenance and upkeep with a facility of this size. You will have a difficult time finding a better place with better staff, better care and better hours at any price. read more

Great grooming for Yorkies. They really know how to do the puppy cut on our Yorkie's face. Had a small issue that was resolved quickly and professionally. The owners really know how to treat their customers and that made a huge difference to me. Highly recommended. read more

Five weeks after my dog's stay, someone in management saw my review and had the presence of mind to call me. She left an appologetic message and told me this was by no means their policy and offered to explain why they have the pickup cutoff that they do. LOVE THIS PLACE! But as someone else wrote, more important is my dog, HoneyBee loves it! Fabulous facility, we have never had anything other than polite and professional staff who clearly love the dogs. I especially love the webcams! Not only do I get to see my pup at play but also the handlers who are just fabulous with the dogs. Highly recommend. Oh, and we always get the 'buff and fluff' finish (not sure that is the right name) but it's a very light (i believe water only) washdown and blowdry that is complimentary. She comes home fluffy and tired. who could want more than that!? read more

As someone said earlier. This place is like Disneyland for dogs. What a great find!! The evaluation process is exactly as it should be. Firm and fair. You want to know the dogs are going to get along with each other. One aggressive dog can set off an entire pack. So they need to be as picky s they are. I wouldn't have it any other way. I am sure scuffles happen here just as they do in the "human" playground environment. But the staff is very attentive and those squirt bottles of water seem to be all they need to keep order in place. This Bone Adventure is a reasonably priced, cage free environment full of dogs that all get along with each other. Some run and play. Some just hang out and enjoy their surrounding. The bone shapped wading pool is the best. Those dogs just love that thing. I will being taking a 7 day vacation. And finding the proper arrangements for Leia, my German Shepherd with severe seperation anxiety, was not going to be an easy task. We had to find an environment where she would get plenty of mental stimulation as well as physical exercise. The Bone Adventure fit the bill to a tee. A cage free environment where she can interact with other dogs all day long with 24/7 human supervision to make sure everyone is on their best social behavior. I purchased a 10 day package so I could take Leia in for a few "one day" visits before we leave . Just to get her accustomed to the place. The experience was great. I have read here some negative posts regarding the young staff. I had no such experience. In fact, I found everyone I came in contact with to be happy, friendly and professional. In fact, when I picked up Leia at the end of her first day, as I was standing there waiting, I casually asked "so how did she do?" I expected to hear "she did great", "What a good girl she was" or somehting like that. But instead, a young man that was standing off to the side stepped in and gave me a 5 minute dissertation about what she did all day, how she acted, where she spent most of her time. and on, and on. It was as if Leia was the only dog he was watching. I mean, how could he have know this much when there are so many dogs running around? The funny thing is, I am quite sure he gave an accurate account because I was logged into the webcam throughout the day and did see for myself where she spent her time and what she was doing. He was spot on with his recap. So have no concerns about the staff. They are professionals.There may be alot of dogs there, but these kids know what they are doing. I would like to add a word in defense of the Bone Adventure in relation to Shawn M's post. Before admitted to the Bone Adventure, all dogs are required to document a battery of vaccines including the one called Bortdella(excuse me if I am not spelling correctly) which is the vaccine for kennel cough. Kennel Cough is to dogs what the common cold is to us humans. And just like your children will pick up a cold from the playground, it will happen with the dogs.The Bon Adventure is doing all they can in requiring the vaccination to prevent the virus. But it is never going to be 100% avoidable. Just like taking aire-borne doesnt give you a 100% guarantee that you won't pick up a cold. read more

I have been taking my pup here for over almost 3 years now and they are as good as it gets! From the friendly staff, to the daily report cards, fluff and puffs, web cam and cleanliness of the facility they are truly the best. My pup, Tamalee always has a great time at the Bone. She sometimes is not in the mood to play with all the other dogs and would prefer to hang out with the humans, but that's okay cause they always have staff members in the yard to play with them. They are friendly and polite every time I come in to drop off or pick up Tamalee. In addition, they move quickly to get your pup checked in especially in the morning as they are keenly aware that doggy parents want to be in and out and on their way to work. I love that the staff is thorough in letting me know how she's doing when she's there, whether she gets a time out and why or if she was extra playful and energetic. They are a little pricy on their bulk packages but its worth it cause you know your pups in really good hands and you don't have to worry. read more

Fantastic place for play days or boarding. I was looking for a cage-free place to board my French Bulldog. I was impressed by their thorough interview process and the warmth of the staff toward me and my dog. She absolutely loves going to The Bone Adventure. She especially loves the bone shaped pool and helping out in the office in the afternoon. My dog is a regular here and she LOVES it, my favorite thing about the bone is the live web came weather I'm at work or traveling i can see my fur baby playing and having fun while I'm away. This place is the best! I love that I can drop my dog off and feel confident that she is in a loving and safe environment. Probably the best feature is that you can check in on your dog through the live webcams! I've never had an issue with the staff like some reviewers and every time I drop her off I feel welcome and accommodated. It's also great that the do a temperament test before the dog is allowed to stay for daycare so you know your dog won't be around any aggressive dogs. The facilities are huge and very stimulating for the dogs and I know when I pick her up she'll be exhausted!! read more

My pup Bruce absolutely loves the Bone Adventure! He comes home nice and mellow from his day of fun. The employees at Bone all seem like they love the dogs and their jobs. The staff here makes this place great. They were fantastic with my dog. She passed away last week and as sad as it was, I was so thankful they had been around for the last 3 years to take care of her when I was busy or traveled. The dog loved it there and I enjoyed dropping her off and saying hi to everyone there. The management is always available to talk if you have any special issues, and the location is huge and has tons of webcams. I spent a fortune on dog daycares since I got my little puppy years ago, but this was definitely the nicest one with the most caring people. read more

My young puppy wound up in the hospital after being groomed here last year. As a puppy she would eat anything and apparently she ate a large amount of marijuana. As soon as I picked her up she was acting strange and was extremely sick. I didn't even get her home- just straight to the emergency vet. She would up in the hospital for 3 days. When I spoke with the owner she was extremely rude and said I must have poisoned the dog myself. She refused to even refund the grooming I had paid for. read more

We have recently moved down to the OC area and were looking for a place where we can take our dog to daycare. We tried the bone adventure and our dog loves it. The true test is always the 2nd time after shes been somewhere if she can't wait to jump out of the car and pulls us in because shes so excited than I think that they are doing something right. I also love that you can go and look up the webcams mid day to see what your dog is up to. She has also gotten a bath here and she came out super clean with a pretty little bow. There's no other facility or anyone else for that matter that I feel comfortable leaving my dog "aka son" with while We are away! We don't like to leave Sparky home alone while we are at work so we have the option to bring him to Day care even if it is only for a half day!!! Everyone that works there is so sweet and welcoming and love and care for Sparky so much that my loyalty will Forever be with The Bone Adventure!! I love that there is cameras to check in on the pups and pools for them to swim when it gets too hot!!! They even put chicken broth in his food and have designated times put aside to feed him his lunch!!! The staff though I can not explain how phenomenal they are with my dog and they love all the dogs so much like they are their own! Sparky has even seen them when we are out and recognized them and gets excited which means so much to me!!! It's worth every penny I spend ..the money doesn't even matter to me and the package deals are so great I always buy them in advance for Sparky! This family loves the Bone Adventure! This place is nothing short of amazing!! You can tell that the people that work here have a true love for dogs! The yard is huge, and there is even a small pool that the dogs can swim in! For the owners that can't bare to be away from their doggies, the Bone Adventure has webcams set up, so you can watch your beloved family member while you are away! We left my dog here for 9 days, and when we picked him up, he was exhausted from all of the fun he had! (plus he got a little report card, which is now on our fridge!) Whether you have to drop your dog off for a few hours, the whole day, or extended periods, you can be rest assured that they are in the very best of hands! read more

I was really excited to take our standard poodle to the bone adventure my girlfriend dropped him off this morning and gave me the logins and the passwords to watch him. However none of those worked!!they give you shared passwords and Login and don't mention that you have to create your own account to a separate company and wait for the Bonaventure to approve you then when they handed back our dog they said nothing about his behavior and how he did. They didn't say one word to her and their blow drying efforts was a joke. read more

My puppy Mooshee loves coming here and she gets so excited she runs for the door. She's made a ton of puppy friends and is happily exhausted at the end of the day. All the hoomans here are great too- they always greet her by name and give me report cards to let me know how her day was. This is pricier than other daycares we have used but it's convenient and you can't beat their extended hours- they're even open Sundays which is great for us because I never leave my baby home alone. They seem to really engage with the dogs rather than just watching them. My favorite part- no kennels or cages even on overnight boarding. Moosh has isolation anxiety and will be sick to her stomach for days after being kenneled. Never again now that we have Bone Adventure! read more

My dog is making me write this review. He is making sure that I give it 5-stars and write just how much he loves it here!!! Now from his human: My 2-year old cannot get any more excited to come here. And it makes me very happy to see him so happy. Yes, it is a little more pricey than other daycares, but I can easily justify the price. The daycare is way bigger than other daycares that he's been at, there's an outdoor and indoor play areas that they can wonder around, there's a pool, and there's always more than 1 staff with the dogs. The best part, for me, is the webcams. They have many webcams so I can see my dog wherever he is (and he is always running around and having fun!). The staff are super friendly. The check-in in the morning is so fast. Pick-up is usually fast and easy. I never have to explain who my dog is...I just give them his name, and they know exactly who he is. WOW! If you are considering a daycare for your baby, you should definitely check them out. You need an appointment for the "interview" and they recommend that you let them keep your dog for couple hours. If you're not happy with the result, you don't have to go with them...but I bet your dog will beg you to take him back here!!!! read more

The Bone Adventure is great! Our pup max loves to socialize there, she even knows the word "daycare" now! The staff is friendly and very caring about the animals. The one time that our pup came home with a knick on her, THEY pointed it out to us, paid for a vet visit to have it looked at, and followed up on how it was healing. The Bone Adventure is an excellent dog day care and boarding facility. They are a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. I've never made use of the shuttle service so I cannot comment but the fact they have one is pretty cool. My dog loves it here he gets so excited as soon as he knows this is where we are headed. They also groom and I can attest they do a great job clipping his nails. The boarding is unique because the dogs don't sleep in separate cages or enclosures. They all hang out together and there are beds, like real people mattresses, and a staff member stays with them. Totally awesome. I have a lot less stress surrounding trips now because I know my dog gets to run around and play all day with his dog buddies and then can cuddle up with someone or a dog at night. read more

Love my experience at Bone Adventure on Bristol. I have a 4 month chiweenie/terrier puppy that I adopted from Seal Beach shelter. Pepper is only 8lbs and I wanted to get her around other bigger dogs in a safe environment. I have been more than pleased! PJ and his staff keep an eye on her in the "Littles" area and today (her 4th "1/2 day" visit) she was finally playing instead of just walking around and watching all the dogs, wohoo!! I also really like that the "Littles" area also includes big, calm dogs so she sees size doesn't equal scary. Thanks so much! read more

This place is amazing for so many reasons! Our dog used to freak out when we'd take her to the groomers, but she doesn't mind it here. They do the exact cut that we ask for - no surprises. The staff is always friendly and inviting. They are very flexible on appointment times and have squeezed us in for same-day appointments multiple times. The dogs just seem really happy there. And to top it all off, they give our dog the most adorable bow every time on the way out. I am so thankful we discovered this place, and I would highly recommend it! read more

So impressed from start to finish. We had a wonderful "interview" where the extremely capable staff introduced our Buddy one dog at a time, and then let him run for a few hours to see how he got on. The place was spotless and the staff kind and attentive. Yes, it smelled a little bit. Go figure, with all those dogs! We signed up and had the mandatory stool test done. I really appreciate how diligent they are with vaccines, stool tests and personality checks in advance. I feel my boy is going to be well looked after. I have just called to book his first stay and again - all very simple and straighforward. LOVE the webcams! I`m looking forward to watching him while we are away. In fact, it looks so good I`m half tempted to send HIM up to San Francisco with the family, and go stay in TBA myself! Some of those beds look REALLY cozy! read more
