I've only been for drinks, but I did see some of the food that was being served, seemed like typical bar food. The drinks were not that great, bartenders are clearly hired as eye candy rather than on skill, our waitress was attentive, but nothing that great. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, and if friends wanted to meet, I'd suggest another bar. read more

I went to the boot the other night and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was outstanding, service was great, live band was excellent, & loved the atmosphere. The service in the bar of The Boot Grill is horrible!!! On Sep 29, I came in and ordered a beer from my waitress. Later I wanted another beer, but my waitress just disappeared! I saw a different waitress walking through the bar. She looked right at me so I waived her to come over. She immediately looked away. I guess i wasn't HER table so she couldn't be bothered!! I also noticed that other tables adjacent to mine were not getting service. Later the hostess, I believe, came to me and asked if I needed anything. I told her that I would like another beer and that we had not seen any wait staff on our side of the room for quite a while. She said that there was a "banquet" going on and that most of the waitresses had been told to service only the banquet customers. I asked her if I was supposed to join the banquet if I needed another beer. She assured me that that would not be necessary. But, ten minutes passed and I had not seen either a wait person or a second beer. So I left! This experience has left me with the following conclusions: - The management cares nothing about small parties or local frequent customers. - The wait staff are trained to only do the bare minimum. - if any customer feels mistreated or unwelcomed, thats tough, they have plenty more. read more

Don't waste your time coming to this restaurant! I was there for lunch and it was awful! I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwhich and it came out with the bottom of the chicken completely burnt. My fiance ordered the steak wedge salad and asked for the steak to be medium and that came out burnt. After taking one bite of my sandwhich and realizing it was burnt, I sent it back and decided I didnt want anything else. My fiance still managed to eat his burnt steak so when the bill came I expected my meal to be taken off, but it wasn't. The manager took $2 off of the $10 dollar sandwhich and wanted me to pay $8 for the one piece of chicken I ate. This to me is not good customer service and unacceptable. The manager never even came out to apologize or to try and make the situation better...Truly disappointed. If I wanted terrible food, I would have cooked at home! read more

Brand new restaurant, open maybe a week. The staff is new and it shows; but, they were very polite and when I asked what tumbleweed sticks were she came back with the answer when she brought our drinks before taking our order. Nice atmosphere/decor, comfortable chairs, lots of natural light in the restaurant part (I like natural light). The bar area also has plenty of seating but is slightly darker. TVs in both bar and restaurant but hard to see in restaurant part because the lighting fixtures are perfect height to block the view. Didn't matter, came to talk with my companion. The food: delicious! Companion had fish and chips, nice light batter, cooked the way it should be. I am not a fish and chips fan but even I loved the bite he gave me. I had the buffalo sandwich which is a chicken breast (grilled or crispy, your choice) with lettuce, tomato, and buffalo sauce. Really like the sandwich and buffalo sauce was flavorful, but spicy. I have a really WIMPY mouth so the sauce was a bit hot for me. Most people would probably like it. Next time I will order without the sauce. All sandwich orders come with a side dish. Both our meals were just the right size for a lunch. I have since talked to three other people who have eaten there and they all really liked their food including the ahi tuna, shrimp salad, and prime rib sandwich. Pricing: Sandwiches are on par with Red Robin. Dinner meal items range from about $16 to $25 if memory serves me right. Parking: No, we couldn't park directly in front of the door but we really did not have to walk far at all. If the place were to completely fill up after a hockey game at BEC then parking could be an issue. I will definitely go back. read more

I am only giving this a one star because the waitress was nice. We waited almost an hour for our food to come and when it did, just about everything was cold and you can tell it had been sitting around. My wife's "tender steak" was horrible. They called it USDA tender, but it was like eating rubber. Her sweet potato fries were nasty overdone and cold. They did bring new ones a few minutes later, I think they ran across the street to Carl's Jr to get the replacement fries. My 12 oz prime rib had no flavor and was about 50% fat. Nothing about the meal was good. When we were done, I could hear them in the kitchen clapping and praising themselves for a night well done. I almost feel off my chair laughing. We decided to try dinner here when we had family visiting from out of town. The food is nothing extraordinary and service is extremely lacking. Things started out well and we were seated immediately which was a relief because their hostess station is right in the front door and there is zero room to wait long. We literally waited over 20 minutes for drink refills and had to get up to find someone first. We had a party of 6 and the restaurant was not busy at all. There were 3 other tables with 2 people each and the waitress was seen long enough to drop off food and then bring the bill. She never checked on us after we got our food either. I'm not sure if she was the only waitress working because the other staff I saw was wrapping silverware or sitting in an empty booth on their phone. Extremely disappointing experience. read more

We were in Colorado visiting and decided to stop by for lunch as we drove through. It is a great place to stop for lunch with the kids (only $3.00 for a kids meal...you can't beat that)! We liked it so much we went back on a Saturday night without kids. The band was fantastic, the atmosphere was so much fun, and the two-stepping was great! Disappointing. I ordered the shrimp tacos. Got three tacos with 3 tiny pieces of shrimp on them each. For $14 I'm expecting more shrimp but instead I'm getting mostly raw cabbage and uncooked flour tortillas. I ordered the sweet potato fries and I asked the waitress if they come plain because I know some places dust them with sugar and won't disclose it on the menu. The waitress tells me they're plain. My experience was similar to Scott R's. Except, well, we never received any service. We went on a Friday evening and sat on the balcony. We ate at Nordy's and decided to stop in to enjoy a few drinks and maybe a dessert. We were there for over an hour and each of the waiters passed us about 8 times, serving people around us but never approaching our table. We had to walk to the bar to get our own beer. My friend wanted a raspberry shock top and was told that there were none at the upstairs bar but she could walk downstairs and get one. Really? When we complained to the manager, he took none of the blame and was reluctant to apologize. Instead, he offered excuse after excuse blaming the former manager for hiring crappy servers. He told me, "It's not like I can fire them because I didn't hire them." No effort to re-train or coach or anything. Save your money. Or better yet, go to Nordy's or drive a few minutes to Rock Bottom or any other restaurant than the Boot. read more

This place has great food and good service. Wednesday night at 7:00, the waitress seated us right away and brought the house margaritas right away. Very good. We had the NY strips, and it was mouthwatering. The REAL mashed potatoes and gravy were flavored perfectly. The green beans were also outstanding, firm, but cooked and seasoned. The only thing not good, which the restaurant cannot control, of course - the background c&w music was good, at a good level, but the table next to us had a female patron who sang the words, quietly, out of tune, of every single song played. Value Pac coupons brought us into Boot Grill Saturday for lunch. Atmosphere was classy with white table cloths and cloth napkins. Waitress was not aware of their special posted by the door. Food was served promptly, hot and presentation was good. Portions however were half the size as one would expect for the price. Taste was outstanding however. I had the special - hot roast beef open face sandwich and my wife - chicken fried steak. I would rank this $$$ not $$ based on menu pricing. For $1.50 more I could have had mashed potatoes with the beef sandwich (normally I would expect mashed potatoes as accompaniment to the open faced meal.) I settled on french fries instead. Service was friendly and we did get one refill on our iced tea. Definitely only a 2 star restaurant in my book. I would only eat there again with a buy one get one coupon. read more

I live close by, did not even know it was there. Bar area nice, dinner area plain. Ordered a burger, not impressed--meat was one-third off the bun--the bun was skimpy--the meat overcooked for a medium-rare order. No dark beer on the menu, rather weird. Portion size was very small. Even with a full appetizer, entree, side, and a few drinks, I left feeling hungry. I requested my steak be very rare. It was well done--it was charred on the outside and not even the slightest bit of pink could be found even in the middle. Service was good. While large and a well-equipped venue, the menu is fairly off-the-highway garden variety. Service was good. Food was mediocre. There's a stage on the ground level which is intriguing. If this is where you need to stop on I-25 for chow, I don't think I'd talk you out of it. read more

I'll start by saying that the staff and service is fantastic. The place is clean and well managed, music is generally played at a reasonable level (loud enough to hear, not enough to give you a headache.) But I have a few complaints. The food was pretty terrible. Just bland and not as fresh/tasty as you'd expect for the money. The beer selection was okay and beer prices are fair for the area. My biggest complaint is this: it took over two weeks for the charge on my debit card to register! I know that's not a killer problem but the charge hit just before payday and nearly put me in overdraft. For a business their size there's no excuse for taking that long to run a card. read more
