Been living in the area and I finally decided to check this place out! 2 times in a week! They got some great selections on craft beer! I love that they sell it by singles so I can try different ones to see if I like it or not! They also sell it buy the packs. Other than beer and alcoholic beverages, they also sell snacks and non alcoholic beverages. This place won my heart when I saw the people's choice beef jerky while checking out! I love that they also sell electrolytes here lol. One stop shop! If you're looking for puff bars, they got it here also! Very friendly staff, check them out! Very cool store with a huge selection of craft beer throughout and hard liquor all behind the register. They have a friendly neighborhood vibe that I like-a lot of regulars kept popping in to play Powerball or some Lotto game. I'd only been in once or twice and it had been a while but I had time to kill before grabbing the kiddo and I'm trying to build up some alcohol reserves at the hizouse so I wanted to see what they had. It's a bit overwhelming considering I don't drink beer at all but I gravitate towards the fruity beers and found a peachy delish sounding bottle that I can't wait to crack open along with a 2 for $10 on a pomme lambic Belgian Apple beer that I imagine would be great in a beer bread or beer batter for frying up cheese curds, too. Yum, the possibilities! But, I digress. Anyway, I checked out and the guy said he was gonna get me a cup and I said ok cuz I don't turn down free. He came back with a beer glass that came with the lambics and put my two bottles on either side, called me a special customer and sent me on my way! But, before that, the other cool dude that had been singing Red Hot Chili Peppers with no shame was getting the info from me on some Cruzan rum drink I was asking about and letting me know that he would see about ordering it if possible. He took my name and number and I left a happy customer. I was thinking 'man, if he gets that drink for me, that would be really cool'. But I didn't think he would put much effort into it because I had only been in there once and we were only talking about a couple of bottles of inexpensive run here. Lo and behold, guess who leaves me a voicemail the very next day - Jon from Boulevard saying he found the Velvet Cinn and I could have it the next day if I want. I called him right back and found out it's only $5 more than in the desert and that's because he's only ordering a single bottle for me! I feel so special, lol. Great liquor store with a fantastic selection. They have everything here. The space itself isn't that huge but I was very impressed with their craft beer selection. There is a parking lot which is always helpful. The service was excellent. There was only one guy working when I came by but he was super helpful and assisted me with my choices in between other customers. He also helped me carry my boxes (I bought a lot of booze!) to my car. Highly recommended! read more

This place is a neighborhood staple and a true gem. Nowhere in city heights/mid-city/college are you gonna find a better selection of beverages PLUS they make amazing sandwiches (named after our beloved neighborhoods) and carry my favorite brand of chips. They are also exceptionally nice and have specialty liquors, speciality smokes...rare organic brands etc. This family owned place makes me feel like home....love it so much. They carry everything....boozy boocha, specialty seltzers, every IPA and lager known to man and an amazing selection of local brews. I have discovered so many amazing new favorites here. This was the first liquor store I visited when my interest for beer grew! I wanted to try them all at once! They have plenty of choices, but not too much local stuff which I now know I can just go visit the brewery's instead. I was completely lost with all those choices, so I asked for help, they guys came to my rescue with lots of friendly suggestions. Mainly I appreciated the fact that they didn't treat me like an airhead and they were very helpful. They gave me tips on what to look for and great suggestions that are now some of my favorites. They have a section of glasses for sale and some cool funny tshirts as well. They always have some liquor gift sets at decent prices. I bought a bottle of Jack Daniels for my dad that came with a baseball cap and he loved it! Before visiting this place my impression on liquor stores was very different, so much that I wouldn't dare go in. Now I know that I can go and find my favorite stuff, ask questions, buy a lottery ticket or perhaps a gift for my dad. A big thank you to these guys for keeping a nice clean store with great deals! I was on my way home to freshen up before going to my friend's birthday parthy on 1/16/2013. I stopped by to purchase items for a Dirty Martini cause that's my friend's favorite drink! I went inside and the store is quite nice, bright and clean. Not like your typical liquor store. I asked for Gin for that dirty martini and they had really good affordable selections. I choose one and picked up some Dirty Martini Olives and was out the door. When I got home I realized that my friend loves VODKA Dirty Martinis and not Gin Martinis. So I went back to Boulevard Wine & Spirits not knowing what they exchange policy on liquor was, but took my chances. There was a different gentleman behind the counter and he had no problem exchanging the Gin for Vodka (same brand, size and price, of course). I walked out of that store feeling like why in the hell would I go all the way to BevMo when I can get what I need from a local store with great selections, affordable prices and friendly (cute too) guys! The other day I picked up a bomber of Anderson Valley's Heelch O'Hops IIPA. It was delicious. I could get caught up I'm here because of the variety of beers. "A lil pricey but worth it" is so true. That's how my work associate explained it to me. The variety of beers you have to choose from and service make up for the price. I'm not a big drinker, mainly just champagne and sometimes a cold beer with lemon (dos Equis to be exact lol). I live right down the street and go in typically on a Friday or Saturday night to get a little something. I prefer a specific type of champagne... Barefoot Pinot Grigio Champagne...it's my favorite! A few times they had it until I bought them all. All the guys are beyond friendly and accommodating, they went out of their way to let me leave my name, number and the kind of champagne I specifically wanted. I was told they would order it and call me and that's exactly what they did. Awesome customer service and they know me when I go in there and greet me with smiles and not to mention they didn't display the bottles they ordered for me, they keep them in the back cooler and get them out specially for me when I walk in. Ahhh that's what I love, my favorite drink, cold and stored away so nobody else can buy it! Thanks guys for going above and beyond to keep a customer happy! The fanciest looking liquor store on El Cajon blvd. The employees are friendly and helpful. They have a huge selection of craft beer. Not a big selection of wine, but decent enough that when you're in a jam and need some wine now it'll do just fine. It is a little pricey in my opinion but due to the beer selection, friendliness of employees, and the aesthetics of the store, we come back regardless. read more
