Stopped by The Brass Monkey on a Sunday afternoon in PAG to watch a little football and grab some food. Place is always lively with all sorts of football fans, especially Ravens. They have quite a few things on their menu and all we have tried are very good. Menu definitely lean towards dishes with a crab base. This time we tried a pizza and a turkey Reuben sandwich and both were phenomenal. Service at the bar is always top-notch and the bartenders and wait staff are extremely friendly and outgoing. Just an all-around great atmosphere and experience every time we go. And the location on the beach with the views of the Gulf are hard to beat!

Excellent place to stop in for a bite to eat on the beach. Extensive menu, full of seafood, lots of interesting crab dishes. The crab skins were to die for! Wonderful view from the outdoor patio - rooftop view of the beach. Great service. Highly recommend.

Stopped here for lunch. Quick stop across the street from the beach. Not too busy during the week. Took a bit to order and receive the food. Ordered the turkey club. Sadly didn't have much to it. Thin pieces of turkey, bacon was pretty hard. Crab dip was decent - not much artichoke to it.

The Brass Monkey is a fantastic beachfront American restaurant in beautiful Pass a Grille! My friend's tuna sandwhich was the knockout! The portion of tuna was commendable, and it tasted so good- packed with flavor! My chicken salad wrap was amazing, too! The chicken salad was flavorful, tender and smooth with an impressive chicken:wrap ratio. The view on the outdoor patio is mesmerizing- we loved watching the sunset while we finished dinner. The service was equally fantastic, our waitress was upbeat, friendly and attentive.

Finally made our way down to Pass-a-Grille beach and to this piece of Maryland here in Florida. Although it was chilly we chose to dine outside to enjoy the views of the beach and gulf. Service was good and prompt. Worked our way around the menu and liked everything we tried. Suggest getting something with Crab Dip as it was quite good. If you're sensitive to weather there is an inside section with more than a few tables and a bar as well. Didn't take any photos inside but if you're from Maryland you will certainly feel at home. We will be back

Best place to watch the sunset! Friendly service, and we got seated right away. It was my birthday weekend and this was a perfect sunset spot.

The food and environment is always good. Prices are reasonable. Staff is friendly! You can buy the kitchen staff a round of beer for $15! Which I did!

Nice beach spot if you're looking to go into a restaurant and sit rather than eat at the beachside cafe. Themed out in Baltimore Ravens (I think?) and all bar grille atmosphere. Crab everything was delicious and really generous portions. The service was friendly but a little slow. Which is probably okay for a laid back beach spot. If you're looking to get out of the sun and grab a good meal, I definitely recommend.

Friday afternoon on scooters and stopped in here. Located upstairs- there is a fantastic view of the beach. The menu has a great variety and what we chose hit the spot! Our waiter was the bartender as well- very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend when you need a bite on your beach day.

My friends are in town from Texas and we wanted to see each other. We decided to go over to Pass-A-Grille and have dinner. I got the appetizer stuffed mushrooms with lump crab meat and it was very good with the squeeze of lemon. My lemon pepper grouper sandwich was tasty. Nice views of the beach. You do have to climb the stairs to get to the restaurant. There is an elevator but you have to call the phone number and make sure someone opens the door for you. The staff is good. Go check out Brass Monkey and then, head to the beach.

As an out of town visitor I went to this restaurant with my friend and her family on Monday evening after spending the day at the beach. My friend and her husband chose this restaurant for their pre teen who is a Baltimore Ravens fan and thought he would get a kick out of the decor, which I think he did. The highlight of the restaurant is the physical location, as it has breathtaking waterfront views, but in my opinion that the most complementary I can be about the dining experience. We were a party of six and were seated outside. If my memory serves me correctly, our servers name was Madison and let's just say that she was having a rough shift! The table asked for a round of waters with lemon, she forgot the lemons, no biggie the first time, but we had to ask a second time. I opted to have my check separate from the family I was with-I ordered the stuffed shrimp which came with two sides and a crab pretzel as an appetizer. She was able to answer my questions about the size/quantity of shrimp. I thought it was priced high but was really wanting seafood and shrimp stuffed with crab, I figured, how could I go wrong? I also wanted some crabs and the crab pretzel sounded amazing and figured I would share it with others at the table. Well the pretzel was decent, but over priced in my opinion. I ordered some sort of boiled potatoes and a salad with my shrimp. She brought the salad first and I must admit was bummed that they didn't have Italian dressing on the menu, so I ended up with oil and vinegar. I felt bad for the poor girl when she brought the oil and vinegar one of the bottles fell and the topper came off spilling on to the table. She was super apologetic and seemed almost embarrassed. It think we all felt bad for her and expressed empathy and told her not to worry, it was ok and accidents happen. As for the food the salad was nothing special, the potatoes were blah and I was not impressed with the stuffed shrimp, the shrimp itself was tough. I only ate one shrimp and my friend eat the second and she was very happy with it, I'm just glad it didn't go to waste and someone enjoyed it. The server also spilled some water at some point as well. My friend was happy with the pricing for herself and her family-the 5 of them got out of there with very reasonably priced burgers, a pizza, and a few orders of loaded fries(which I sampled and enjoyed) while my food cost $50+ and in my opinion was not worth the money. This is not a place I have any interest in returning to unless I am maybe sitting outside staring at the water sipping on an alcoholic beverage. I hate that I couldn't rate yall higher but my experience fell flat due to pricing, food quality and a poor server that was having a tough day.

Snappers was packed at 6:30pm on a Tuesday night. However, as it was late July, we were able to get a table outside right away. There are fans to help with the heat, and it's well ventilated so there was a nice breeze. Our server was prompt and friendly. The menu was seafood with an Asian flair. We started with the crab stuffed portobello (probably the weakest part of the meal) and delicious coconut shrimp. After that, our entrees came with salads, which were also great (tortilla chips and a zesty dressing made it more fun than your usual house salad, but it didn't feel too decadent). I got the snapper, which was served over coconut rice and with a delicious curry sauce and mango chutney. The curry reminded me more of thinner Japanese curry versus Indian or Thai, which I loved. The snapper itself was a nicely-sized piece and was cooked/seasoned perfectly with a hint of spice. The coconut sticky rice was so addictive!! The sweetness of the mango chutney just made each bite a wonderful flavor explosion. I would 100% recommend this dish. My husband got the coconut cashew crusted mahi, which was also excellent (and another huge portion of fish). It seems like you can't go wrong here with a fish dish!

This is the kind of place that feels like it's been around forever, in the best way. Spacious for the area, lively without being chaotic, and backed by attentive service that keeps things moving even when it's busy. The menu is extensive, and then just when you think you've seen it all, there's a specials board tucked away with even more to choose from. If you can time your visit right, Tuesday is the move. They run a buy one pound, get one pound half off deal on snow crab legs, and it's easily one of the best values around. The snow crab legs are fresh and satisfying, and the Dungeness crab holds its own as well. Both pair perfectly with their rich, drawn butter, simple but done right. Portion sizes here are no joke. The shrimp skewers are almost excessive in the best way. Three skewers loaded with roughly eight shrimp each, so you're looking at around two dozen shrimp total, all a solid medium-large size. It's the kind of dish that makes you pause when it hits the table. The shrimp pasta is another standout and clearly a house favorite. It's packed with flavor and easily one of the more memorable dishes on the menu. Good enough that ordering a second one to-go actually makes sense. The clam chowder, though, was the one miss. While it's loaded with plenty of clam meat and has a hearty base, there's a slightly smoky flavor that throws it off. If you're a chowder fan, it might not hit the mark. Probably something to skip next time. As for the crab cakes, they passed a pretty tough test. A Maryland native at the table gave them a strong approval, which says a lot. Pro tip: Get there early, ideally around lunch, if you want to lock in that snow crab deal. It's popular, and you don't want to risk missing out. Overall, this is a reliable, crowd-pleasing seafood spot that leans into big portions, solid execution, and a relaxed coastal vibe. Whether you're a local or just visiting St. Pete Beach, it's an easy recommendation and definitely worth a return trip.

Turns out the hostess was also our server and she immediately grabbed us waters and drinks. She was such a pleasure and both her and what I assume was either the manager or the owner both stopped by several times throughout the meal to touch base. We started with the drunken shrimp appetizer and a half a dozen oysters. The shrimp appetizer tasted great. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and the sauce was flavorful. We wished it came with more than two small crostinis for 6 shrimp, but we solved that problem by using the complimentary dinner rolls to sop up the rest of the sauce. The oysters are shucked fresh to order, but let me tell you they were some of the biggest freshest oysters we've enjoyed since moving to Florida 10 years ago. For dinner, I got the wild caught salmon with wild rice and broccolini and my husband ordered the fish special of blackened swordfish over beet risotto with a vegetable medley. Both were amazing and we cleaned our plates. We finished with a key lime pie and a lemon raspberry cheesecake which our server informed us were homemade daily by a sweet old lady named Glenna who owns her own local bakery. In fact, we learned the restaurant even sources all of their fish caught fresh by a local fisherman. We thought that was so cool because we love supporting our local St Pete businesses.
