Stopped by The Brass Monkey on a Sunday afternoon in PAG to watch a little football and grab some food. Place is always lively with all sorts of football fans, especially Ravens. They have quite a few things on their menu and all we have tried are very good. Menu definitely lean towards dishes with a crab base. This time we tried a pizza and a turkey Reuben sandwich and both were phenomenal. Service at the bar is always top-notch and the bartenders and wait staff are extremely friendly and outgoing. Just an all-around great atmosphere and experience every time we go. And the location on the beach with the views of the Gulf are hard to beat!

Excellent place to stop in for a bite to eat on the beach. Extensive menu, full of seafood, lots of interesting crab dishes. The crab skins were to die for! Wonderful view from the outdoor patio - rooftop view of the beach. Great service. Highly recommend.

Stopped here for lunch. Quick stop across the street from the beach. Not too busy during the week. Took a bit to order and receive the food. Ordered the turkey club. Sadly didn't have much to it. Thin pieces of turkey, bacon was pretty hard. Crab dip was decent - not much artichoke to it.

The Brass Monkey is a fantastic beachfront American restaurant in beautiful Pass a Grille! My friend's tuna sandwhich was the knockout! The portion of tuna was commendable, and it tasted so good- packed with flavor! My chicken salad wrap was amazing, too! The chicken salad was flavorful, tender and smooth with an impressive chicken:wrap ratio. The view on the outdoor patio is mesmerizing- we loved watching the sunset while we finished dinner. The service was equally fantastic, our waitress was upbeat, friendly and attentive.

Finally made our way down to Pass-a-Grille beach and to this piece of Maryland here in Florida. Although it was chilly we chose to dine outside to enjoy the views of the beach and gulf. Service was good and prompt. Worked our way around the menu and liked everything we tried. Suggest getting something with Crab Dip as it was quite good. If you're sensitive to weather there is an inside section with more than a few tables and a bar as well. Didn't take any photos inside but if you're from Maryland you will certainly feel at home. We will be back

Best place to watch the sunset! Friendly service, and we got seated right away. It was my birthday weekend and this was a perfect sunset spot.

The food and environment is always good. Prices are reasonable. Staff is friendly! You can buy the kitchen staff a round of beer for $15! Which I did!

Nice beach spot if you're looking to go into a restaurant and sit rather than eat at the beachside cafe. Themed out in Baltimore Ravens (I think?) and all bar grille atmosphere. Crab everything was delicious and really generous portions. The service was friendly but a little slow. Which is probably okay for a laid back beach spot. If you're looking to get out of the sun and grab a good meal, I definitely recommend.

Friday afternoon on scooters and stopped in here. Located upstairs- there is a fantastic view of the beach. The menu has a great variety and what we chose hit the spot! Our waiter was the bartender as well- very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend when you need a bite on your beach day.

This is the kind of place that feels like it's been around forever, in the best way. Spacious for the area, lively without being chaotic, and backed by attentive service that keeps things moving even when it's busy. The menu is extensive, and then just when you think you've seen it all, there's a specials board tucked away with even more to choose from. If you can time your visit right, Tuesday is the move. They run a buy one pound, get one pound half off deal on snow crab legs, and it's easily one of the best values around. The snow crab legs are fresh and satisfying, and the Dungeness crab holds its own as well. Both pair perfectly with their rich, drawn butter, simple but done right. Portion sizes here are no joke. The shrimp skewers are almost excessive in the best way. Three skewers loaded with roughly eight shrimp each, so you're looking at around two dozen shrimp total, all a solid medium-large size. It's the kind of dish that makes you pause when it hits the table. The shrimp pasta is another standout and clearly a house favorite. It's packed with flavor and easily one of the more memorable dishes on the menu. Good enough that ordering a second one to-go actually makes sense. The clam chowder, though, was the one miss. While it's loaded with plenty of clam meat and has a hearty base, there's a slightly smoky flavor that throws it off. If you're a chowder fan, it might not hit the mark. Probably something to skip next time. As for the crab cakes, they passed a pretty tough test. A Maryland native at the table gave them a strong approval, which says a lot. Pro tip: Get there early, ideally around lunch, if you want to lock in that snow crab deal. It's popular, and you don't want to risk missing out. Overall, this is a reliable, crowd-pleasing seafood spot that leans into big portions, solid execution, and a relaxed coastal vibe. Whether you're a local or just visiting St. Pete Beach, it's an easy recommendation and definitely worth a return trip.

We chose the mussels in a tomato sauce as appetizers to begin. We ordered the Pinot Grigio and unfortunately I had to send mine glass back bc it just wasn't a good wine. We shared the entree which was the seafood pappardelle pasta in a cream sauce which had lobster, shrimp, and scallops. The sauce was good but they must have salted the pasta a bit too much which def made the dish richer. The service was good, but for the prices here you'd expect something more since the server did not know about the sauces and how things were prepared. Kinda of a bummer when she had to go back to the chef to ask. But it seemed everything was just higher in price. Overall it was ok. Just for the prices, you expect the food to be exceptional. Parking is minimum $50 a day + fees. A cocktail? For an hour? Haha no. I'm being mildly disingenuous. The bar staff (and likely restaurant staff) will give you a QR code to validate all $58 of your parking. But it made me acutely miss a time when you could just park and patronize an establishment. Just don't forget to validate your parking, cuz they sure didn't ask preemptively. They were celebrating a 3-day grand reopening when we went on Saturday. There was *one* artisan in their market space. The music was pumping loud enough to not be able to converse. Although it drew a crowd of younger folks, there was not much to behold from the "grand" reopening. Not even s cost of paint. The beach bar may not have been part of the sprucing up idk, I didn't see anything worth celebrating. I meant to look at the size of the cocktail cup that we got (small), but $13-14 for a cocktail is highway robbery for the end result. And $18 for 6 wings ($3 a wing) was a little disappointing. I expected better of a Hilton adjoined restaurant. No one part was terrible. It was just the way they matched up - loud, expensive, small portions. If you're loud maybe you're cheap and tasty. If you're expensive, maybe you're fast and delicious. This was all the worst parts of a bar that doesn't care about its patrons' economics. A bar that wants to serve tourists with mediocrity and move on to the next crop of people who will never be there again. If you're a tourist it'll probably be fine, if overpriced. If you're a local, don't bother. To be fair, we should ask if there was anything good. hm ... no. We won't be returning. 3 stars is probably generous.

They typically have live music in the evenings, which adds just the right amount of energy without overwhelming the space. Seating is flexible with both indoor and outdoor options, though on especially hot days, you'll want to be mindful of where you sit. The Florida sun can be intense, so a shaded table with a fan makes a big difference. Drinks are worth exploring here, especially since they tend to rotate specials. It's always a good idea to ask what's currently featured. The menu is rooted in New Orleans-style Creole cooking, and it shows. There's a wide range of seafood-heavy options, from po'boys and shrimp or scallop pastas to fried baskets, chowder, and fish and chips. The dirty rice and beignets round things out nicely if you're looking to branch beyond seafood. Prices run slightly above average, but the quality backs it up. Portions are solid, flavors are on point, and the overall experience makes it feel worth it. This is the kind of place locals keep in their rotation and bring visitors to when they want to show off something a little different.
