This is my favorite craft beer venue. Updated 5/28/16 A change in ownership seems to have changed the quality of this location. On a Saturday before Memorial Day they were out of a number of beers listed on their menu. My favorite sandwich the chicken piri-piri didn't taste the same as it used to. Orders of chicken tenders came out over cooked and under cooked. My server Julia was very good but should have had a second server for the amount of customers. One star is being nice. Our server couldn't remember anything. She couldn't keep anything together and didn't know anything about the menu. Pretzel pizza is NOT pretzel pizza....they just add salt to the edge of real pizza. Then we ordered peri peri chicken panini x2 at the table and both were wrong -2x's! Then they original put the wrong cheese on it and just scrapped off the cheese and tried to just add cheese on top off the wrong cheese. Really? It's against food code to do that!!!! That's about as bad as spitting in our sandwich! Come on!!! Never again for food. And then to top it off the waitress just kept bringing it out wrong and not checking first then saying "I'm sorry? Great beer selection, good bar food, plenty of tvs. Headed in to watch the games on Saturday night! Having a great time only to be interrupted by an awful soloist who though he was Hendrix. So after a rocky start, and by rocky I mean waiting 10 mins for someone to come greet us. My boyfriend decided to go to the bar to ask the bartender for a menu and for someone to assist us, which he got the server to come over ASAP. Which yes we understand that due to the promo they were running they were extremely busy ($9.99 all you can eat tacos!) after that our experience was amazing! Nothing bad to say about the food, service, or drinks! My boyfriends an I both took advantage of the tacos! They were amazing!!! We got all 3 kinds and Omg were they so filling and good! Okay back again tonight, Thursday. Didn't know the guy was here with the trivia questions, he is way too loud. I would have left but I was starving and it was about 7:30 by the time I got there and I'm up at 4:00 AM for work! It's annoying if you're trying to have a conversation with someone and sitting outside did not help at all. I'm praying we don't get sick. Ordered the Fish n Chips as I was told this place specializes in Gastro Pub food and it's the BEST around. It wasn't cooked correctly, the fish came direct from Gordon Frozen Box you can pick up at any Local Mart. I suggest never ordering any food. Now, on to the beer. The simple measure has always been a properly poured Guinness. When the Bartender, of which I watched every step takes 5 minutes to pour and screws up something as a simple as a 45 degree angle to pour, certainly should not be allowed to serve. After all, this place specializes in BEER. I've given the benefit of the doubt many times, but when you act as if you should have higher standards "you should be held to such". Our server was attentive and fine. Only thing was, she had no clue about Beer. Not her 1st day, been there since July 2014. Lastly, my wife's burger was frozen from Costco and covered in cheap salt to preserve the "I have no clue" the fries were good but the Malt Vinegar was was watered down and homemade tarter sauce was mayonnaise mixed with watered down malt vinegar. Giving this place a (1) star, is too high. I suggest going anywhere else for food and drink. read more

There's nothing wrong with The Brass Tap, however I didn't feel it warranted a 4 star rating either. Keeping this simple and to the point, The Brass Tap is a great place to enjoy a local band on a Saturday night with friends, beer (or liquor) and finger foods. I can definitely see myself coming for some sports games on TV as well. The food just isn't that great. When you need to fill your belly because your throwing down some drinks then it suffices. But that's about it. A party of 8 of us filled the table with some pretzel bites and cheese dip, chicken wings and French fries. The pretzel bites were drowned in butter (the cheese dip was ok). The wings weren't that bad but nothing special. All in all, The Brass Tap is better then most of the big chain sports bars/restaurants because of the selection of speciality brews, the live music when available and the overall environment. If the food was a tad bit better I wouldn't hesitate to throw them a 4th star. read more

This place is off the list!!! There is absolutely no way I will ever go back to this place after the experience my friends and I had last night. It started out with our waitress, who had no idea what she was doing. Zero knowledge of any of the beers and a lovely "couldn't care less" attitude. That first became evident when she gave everyone at the table the wrong beers. I know it's tricky to get 4 drink orders correct, but at least pretend like you cared about the mistake. She did come back and ask if we were enjoying the beers, but I can't for the life of me figure out why. That's because when one of my friends mentioned his tasted awful (what it actually tasted like can't be repeated), instead of trying to make the situation better, her response was to "chug" the beer so he can order another one. Really??? That is what you tell your patrons. If you hate something served to you, just slug it down and shut up! After the chugging debacle, my steak tacos arrived, and at that point I almost lost it. They presented me with two of the smallest tacos I have ever seen. The fact that they list these tacos on the menu as an main course is a joke!! I wouldn't even feel comfortable selling them as an appetizer, as they were that tiny. When I brought up my concern to our "wonderful" waitress, her response to me was "oh yeah, they're kind of small. Most people order an extra taco along with it." Are you kidding me!!! I'm clearly not pleased with the tacos, and her advice is to order another one. And at the amazingly low price of $3.99 a piece. Unbelievable!!! At that point we decided enough was enough, so we asked for the check. And that is when this terrible experience somehow got even worse. We presented our waitress with a few "Free Beer" coupons. But we were surprised when she said we couldn't use all of them because they were buy one get one free coupons. Since the simple act of reading had become an issue at this point, we decided it was time to speak with the manager. As we explained our problem to the manager (Jessica), we were blown away when mid-story she rudely turned her back on us to immediately berate our waitress right at the table. Now while I clearly wasn't pleased with her service, nobody deserves to be yelled at in front of customers like that. There are way too many places nowadays that have very large craft beer selections. No reason to ever waste your time and money here. read more

The beers are expensive. About $7 for 1. It would be cool to go here and get a little buzzed with out spending tons of money. They have a specials for members or something but you have to be part of a club or something which the staff doesn't tell you about. I was here on Saturday, I walk in and an outside table is talking about a large bird scaring a small bird in the restaurant. I didn't notice what he was talking about until I walked in and saw a bird (dove looking) up in the corner on the shelf by the Windows. The place was empty besides 1 table in the corner. An employee tried to get the bird out and couldn't. A cook comes out and tries to get it and.... (Wait for it)...the bird flys to the other corner window where the 1 table is sitting. All of this dust goes down right over them. My husband and I watched as the waiter walked over and asked if they want boxes and they said no. Disgusting. They could have offered the friends a new drinks. An employee told the bartender they have been dead the past few Saturday's. I wonder why- no one wants to go out and spend that much money drinking on a Saturday I will not be going back. I only rate it 1 star bc the first time I went the male bartender was knowledgeable and put on the Villanova game for us! read more

We were invited by friends to trivia night. The trivia experience was great but everything else was not a good experience. I don't know if they are not used to having so many people or what the case was, but we sat at the bar to first gather up. I was ignored multiple times by the bartender on our side until finally I was able to catch the attention from one of the other bartenders. He was pleasant and apologized. The other one was in a sour mood and mainly was on our side of the bar but ignored me. We found a seat outside to where we could all sit. We waited for someone to help us but after a half hour, I finally got up and asked for someone to help us. Other patrons were being taken care of around us and we were ignored as the servers walked passed us. We were able to order our food and drinks. They ran out of their house tater tots so everything that included tater tots was not able to be ordered - this included the combo sampler which could have been accommodated by adding more of the other items listed in the sampler. The food was not the best and my husband's onions on his burger, although should have been cooked, were raw as can be. The server was nice but all other aspects were to be desired. read more

This may be one of my new favorite hang out spots on the weekends! This place has lots of entertainment: live music, and games like life-size Jenga, cornhole, etc. The food is good (get the Mac and cheese burger!) and it has an amazing beer selection. But my favorite part of all is that the place is never extremely packed, so you can actually have fun and hang out without worrying about someone spilling their beer on you. The crowd is mixed age-wise, which lends itself to the more laid-back, relaxed environment. read more

After my first time going here I will NEVER be back. There's a reason you can't find any beer prices on the internet.... it is extremely over priced. On top of that the service is awful, all the waitresses are much more concerned with the stray cats they leave food out for on the restaurants patio. After being ignored by our waitress for the stray cats we decided to order the nachos, disgusting, soggy, and cold, they genuinely could not be any worse. On top of the nachos being horrible we couldn't even eat them because there was a group of servers constantly walking up, standing inches behind us staring at & making noises at the cats. There is absolutely no reason to go to this establishment, it's has overpriced beer, horrendous food, and waitresses who are not in the least bit interested in actually serving the customers. Do not be fooled this restaurant is horrible and I now understand why the Boca location closed, hopefully this location will be next. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!! read more

If you like beer this is the place for you. I think they have every beer on the planet. The drink menu is double the food menu which is typical pub grub nothing too special but it's a cool place to hang out. I had the strawberry lime cider ale which was very good, tasted like soda and steak nachos which were just ok. Will be back to try more of the beers and ciders. read more

Im usually not a fan of live bands in a bar because its just way too noisey and cant really talk to one another but last few bands I saw there were pretty good and if its too noisey for you they have an outdoor area you can sit at.
