This was my second time to Two Georges in the 5 days I've been in Boynton Beach. Needless to say, I enjoyed my meals there. Tonight I went after going on the Tiki boat which leaves out of the same dock that the restaurant is located on. Both times I ordered the Spicy Ahi Tuna Tacos which were absolutely delicious. I'm not a big fan of spice and these were fine for me spice-wise (so if you're looking for a big kick, don't expect anything crazy). I chose fries as my side and they had the perfect level of crunch. The vibe of the restaurant is nice and the menu isn't overly pricey for being on the water. The one thing to note is that it was quite buggy tonight with little gnats that bit. It quickly got to the point of being overwhelming but the staff had bug spray to hand out when asked. read more

I have come here often and on for years when in the area and honestly, the food is just gotten worse and worse. For what you're paying there are a lot of misses. The big pluses are the great view and the fun picnic benches to sit on. We also love feeding the fish when we first come in. I always find the staff friendly and on their game. The drink menu is fun and they have some yummy cocktails. The menu is pretty seafood heavy but they have enough other options if you aren't a fish or shellfish person to satisfy. We had the tuna tacos which were super dry and tasteless, the po boy which was also extremely dry and lacking sauce and tasteless, Ahi tuna dinner entrée (cook cooked perfectly, but also barely any flavor) and two appetizers, which were the star. Nice rustic restaurant on the water. Free valet parking. Live music many nights, but it is a little too loud and when the band is playing it is hard to talk. Food is mostly seafood and very good. We got the conch fritters which were flat patties rather than round balls. Also got fish dish which was okay. The best thing was the Ahi Tuna tower. That was excellent. The debacle from hell. Horrible clam chowder, horrible conch soup, dried out fried shrimp. Overpriced nonsense. The shrimp went back replaced with a raw burger. This became our Christmas Eve dinner after opting out of a more formal planned dinner. My kids didn't want stuffy. Two Georges is located at the waterfront and while there is valet, I'm cheap and self-parking is challenging so I had to park a decent walk away. We entered the outdoor area (I assume there's an indoor space) that was either on top of the pier or floating next to it. The outdoor dining area is a typical warm weather open bar / dining space where boaters or beach goers walk in with flip flops and shorts for a beer. Nothing fancy, basic ambiance and tables, and very casual. Service was fast and friendly. Menu was as expected with lots of fried options and a handful of fish and shellfish grilled or baked. Food was decent (who doesn't like fried), portions large, and prices affordable. I had grilled grouper which was a large filet, included a giant pile of steamed vegetables and fries for $17. Only major downside to this place were the bathrooms which looked and smelled like any beachside public restroom. Use before you eat. read more

We frequent at 2Georges and my favorite go to order is the large order of conch fritters. They're unique triangle shaped and a decent size for each one. They're seasoned very well and go well with their tarter sauce and lemon. Most recently I also ordered the Key Lime Coolada as my drink and it was very good. My husband ordered the mango habanero wings and said they're good along with a rum runner. We usually go on Friday evening and they have a musician playing which pairs well with the ocean front dining. read more

This establishment opened in 1957, and we lived not too far away, starting in the late 60s. It became a regular haunt as I was growing up. I went many, many times. At some point, I moved a little further away and didn't make it back in for about a decade. It was pretty much as I remembered it and I enjoyed it. Then for the next 15 or so years, I was living just far enough away where a trip wasn't quite worth it. But my mom was celebrating a birthday and I thought it would be a nice surprise to take her back here. It was a schlep, but it was so worth it! The vibe is still old Florida fish house. It's right on the intercostal with a nice breeze, pleasant views. And lots of boat slips and some parking for the restaurant out front. A parking garage at the end of the dock is also available. We got seated right away which was great. But, the service was mostly a miss. The waitress disappeared for long stretches. And the food took nearly an hour to come out; when we asked they said the kitchen was backed up. It was busy, but not THAT busy. That was a little off putting. When the food came out, it was great. We had some mahi-mahi (the more common name for what they call "dolphin" - the fish not the mammal), and grouper. Both were exceptionally fresh and really good. While the drive and the service were not so great, the food and views made up for it. And 4 stars is warranted. A fun trip down memory lane with some great local flavor. One note: there isn't anything on the menu for vegetarians, though you can modify a couple of dishes to omit the fish if that's your thing. read more

My husband chose this location for my birthday dinner as he wanted some seafood and to sit outside. The location is on the water, which is nice. But as we got there, there was a smell in the air that was not appetizing. We were seated towards the back near the kitchen. Didn't really have a great view. My husband and I love conch fritters so we started with that. What came to the table was not what I was expecting. The fritters were very doughy and greasy not great. For my main I had shrimp and fries. The shrimp had a weird taste that was not fresh. My husband like to sandwich, which is why I went with the two stars. Out here visiting a friend and got bored home. Hitched a ride over to two George's Water Front Grille. The place was pretty busy for a Monday. The waitress sold me on their mai tai's. I absolutely loved the cool breeze from the water as I watched the sunset. I had two Mai tai's and a sandwich. My bill was $41.73. Very reasonable and fairly friendly restaurant. Fun spot on the intra coastal for drinks live music. The band stops early because another starts up 40 yards away in a different spot on the water. The food is very typical bar stuff with a leaning to fried seafood and stuff . Service is sporadic based on the size of the crowd. The busier it is the more sporadic it becomes. This place is our go-to after we caught fresh fish and lobster because, let's be honest, we'd rather let someone else do the cooking. It's the only restaurant around that lets you bring your fresh catch for them to cook, which makes it such a cool experience when we have visitors in town! Our go-to? Bringing fresh lobster to have them make fried lobster tacos--so good! I also tried their peanut butter pie recently and I had no regrets! We got there at round 1:45 on Easter Sunday and when our whole party of 5 was there, we were immediately seated. There was a beautiful breeze and we were far enough away from the laid-back music that having conversation was easy. All the food was delicious, although it took a while. But on a special Sunday as Easter, that was to be expected. Our server, Nick, was personable, attentive and apologetic for the wait. We each had to valet park as this is in a marina alongside another restaurant. So if, like us, you are coming in several separate cars, it would be helpful to carpool. Great ambience! I'm going to be honest, I was a little skeptical based on the reviews, but we were visiting with my mother's friend from kindergarten and she suggested it. Now I'm glad she did! When we arrived, here had asked for a table by the water. We sat at the very far corner of the dock on a gorgeous Friday afternoon. It was nice to see the boats going by and the tiki to boat was also pretty entertaining. Our waiter came to our table right away and took our drink order. He let me sample a beer to see if I liked it and since I didn't, he took my order for Mai Tai, which was fantastic. We each ate something different. I had the Ahi tuna noodle salad bowl, which was delicious. The only complaint I would have is that it didn't have as many noodles as I would've put it. Had a perfect amount of tuna and dressing. My mother's friend had a seafood platter that had fried calamari, scallops, haddock, conch, fritters and shrimp. She said that she doesn't usually eat fried food, but this was very good, lightly battered, and not overly greasy like it can sometimes be. It came with one side. My wife had the fish and chips and said it was delightful. All three of us ordered dessert. My wife had the peanut butter cheesecake, which was on special. She really enjoyed it. I had a Keylime pie, which was good but more of fluffy consistency. I really liked the flavor. The last dessert was an ice cream cup and a coffee. I'm not really sure on why the ratings are so low on this place as it is absolutely gorgeous, the service was really good and the food was really good also. We came by boat and parked on their floating dock. We sat outside under an umbrella. It was nice and cool. We ordered fish tacos, chicken fingers and fries and ahi tuna salad. Everyone was happy with their food -though it was difficult to find the waitress to get napkins, refills or anything. Don't expect fancy. You can relax and chill while you are having your lunch! Haven't been here in a while, but glad I came back. Had some out of town guests wanting the Florida experience for dinner so we brought them here! My burger was cooked perfectly, my husband got the shrimp scampi and he was delighted. It's open air, but so comfortable because it's right on the water. Nice location on the water. Came recommended. Was one of the worst dining experiences I have had. Service was poor. Crazy long waits between table stops. On a night that they were about 80% full it took almost 2 hours to eat. After telling us he was not sure what the delay was with our meals coming out, they arrived with a crust on the pasta from being under a heat lamp and all the fish meals were all dried out. Stopped by for a happy hour drink before boarding the tiki boat. Bartender was fast and helpful making a great less sweet watermelon cocktail. Everyone enjoyed their drinks. Great bar atmosphere, quite crowded but we were able to find a table on a Thursday at 4:30. Returned for dinner after our boat ride. Seated promptly and were able to order an appetizer quickly. Fish dip was good when adding vegetables instead of just saltines. Everyone enjoyed their food from grouper tacos to crab cakes and I had a grouper Reuben. This used to be our go to place in Boynton. Excellent food selection and a great location. Lately, the service seems to be slipping. We tried twice over the last couple of weeks and received slow service and incorrect orders. I don't mind paying for a good meal but it is disappointing to have your party eat in shifts while the server worked to correct the orders. Another charming local spot that has given up. Bang Bang Shrimp has turned into rubber poo poo. The lobster melt is now a burnt brick of bread with two spoons of lobster flavored spread. Just because a place is busy doesn't necessarily mean it's good... As one of the few places to have drinks actually on the water, Two Georges is a Boynton staple, but man has it gone downhill. The amount of attention paid to our party was close to non-existent and we had to actively seek out, then ask for our server on more than one occasion. Not being seated at the bar means you don't get Happy Hour prices but win no dedicated bartender it also means you have to wait for your drinks behind the people pounding in as much alcohol as they can before 6pm. And wait we did! 3 martinis and 3 bottled beers took 18 minutes! There is no ambiance to speak of, what used to be a great place to come hang out and people watch has turned more and more into a cacophony of older people yelling over one another. Food was okay. Nothing to write home about but nothing worth complaining over either. In short it seems Two Georges has succumbed to the quantity over quality so prevalent in Boynton these days, and they'd rather give mediocre service and product to 200 people than deliver what used to be their brand of quality to half as many. read more

Not quite sure what happened here, but the difference between this last time I ate here and the time before was disappointing. I ordered fried haddock. I was going to get the early bird but waiter asked if I was hungry because it was more portioned to a lunchtime meal. I ordered the regular meal instead. Well I would hate to see the early bird portion! I had one small, skinny piece of fish. I am a small person so it doesn't take much to fill me up, but I was not feeling like I just finished a dinner after that portion. The time before this we had to search down a waiter to serve us. My friends ordered the nachos, they were chips with cheese wiz a dollop of guacamole that was brown and a dollop of sour cream.. that was it, no jalapeño peppers or anything else.. then we got our meals.. my friend ordered the ahi tuna tower and it tasted funny, so she sent it back.. I had the tuna tacos, they were meh.. the guys had wings which were dry and the tuna that was dry.. couldn't even play trivia because the food was so bad... it was really bad.. Came here for a business lunch and sat on the deck overlooking the water. Kind of nice area, looks calm and serene and you can watch the draw bridge that's right next to the restaurant go up when big boats come through. Service was really friendly. The menu is loaded with all sorts of great options in seafood, all made with fresh fish! Our server told us they got Mahi that morning fresh so we each ordered that. I got mine blackened on a salad with their balsamic dressing. The dressing was the emulsified style, homemade balsamic and it was outstanding! The salad ingredients were fresh and the fish was incredible! It had a nice crust of spice on it and great flavor and was fresh. They have free valet parking out front, which is nice because there aren't a lot of parking options. Definitely would recommend stopping in here! read more

Food was good, but experience was so bad it was hard to enjoy it. There were so many crows in the rafters which I know is not completely controllable, but we were sat right next to the dish bin which had tons of food waste in it so the birds were consistently going in, grabbing something, and then sitting on wires above the tables, dropping shells and pooping. It was really unpleasant. There seemed to be no effort by the staff to stop this (throwing food in the trash vs. the open bin, zipping up patio screens to stop them from coming in,etc.) Other than that, the service was attentive and the food was fresh. All of the above is spot on! Food is great. BIGGEST TURNOFF- B.I.R.D.S they're everywhere. Enjoying a lovely dinner and a bird whizzes by and drops a bird dropping on the corner of our table. GROSS!!! Staff was great cleaning it right away - but why are patrons competing with birds? I love Two George's but when I looked at Bananna Boat across the water- they had adequate netting up to prevent birds from pooping or walking over their patrons feet. We have eaten at the restaurant across the water a few times. This place looked loved by many and lots of fun. We had an early lunch midweek. It is outside. Tables, high tops and a bar, some covered picnic benches too. It is almost water level with load of catfish swimming near surface to entertain. There are a number of TVs too. The service was fantastic. The atmosphere relaxed. They were doing rather loud work nearby but it was so relaxing hardly noticed it. I had the Maryland salad. A big crab cake on top of a large salad with tomatoes, cakes, lettuce chopped with ranch dressing. The crab cake was very flavorful. My husband had the po boy oyster sandwich that was great with a pasta salad. The oysters were perfectly cooked. The pasta salad was good. A great place for an early lunch. read more
