Great selection of beers & local brews especially. Service is pretty slow even when there are only a few people in the restaurant. I always hope Lisa waits on us because she's great. For me the food is pretty disappointing. Very few selections and absolutely nothing healthy. The mac & Cheese is decent. I wish they would improve their good selection & quality. We were going to hang ourselves in the bathroom - thanks to the music - but the staff and especially the bartender turned the mood around. The cooks are having more fun than us. I'm pretty sure they are screwing their happy hour customers. Happy hour ends a 7pm, so you put in your order before 7, 2 for 1 on the wine(wife). When the server (3 different times) brings the check, it has the full price for the glasses of wine. Tonight the server said that the mgr. had to do the price adjustment. On prior times they said that it will come off when they cash it out. 3 out of 3 times looks like a system to cheat the customer. We spent about 4 hours here today. Chill. Great ambiance. Lisa was out server and she was knowledgeable about all their different beers, what is similar, what to try etc. She brought is samples of ones we weren't sure of, and was uber accommodating when out group went from 4 to 6, then 8 & finally 10. Giant jenga, connect 4 and corn hole out for all to play too. Pretzels with beer cheese was a table favorite and we went through 4 orders in our time there. Love to go local, so we chose BT for a girls lunch. If you are a lover of beer this is your place in Boynton. Really cute place with plenty of seating, clean and friendly staff. Since we aren't day drinkers we tried onion rings to start, crunchy, nice batter and fried just right. Taco Tuesday so we couldn't pass it up prime rib tacos. They aren't your usual fair, they come on a thin crunchy flat bread with hardly any toppings. The meat was good but it really isn't a tradional taco, more like a flat pizza. I thought it needed a little more than the small amount of cheese and toppings. It had 2 weird out of place carrot strips and no sauce. I added the onion ring horseradish sauce for a little more flavor. Things ended with a creamy key lime pie. One thing was that they don't have soda fountain so the choice of non alcoholic drinks was not great but if beer is your thing then the choices are limitless. With the four across life-size game and trivia night it looks like a fun time at night. read more

New to town and The Brass Tap experience. Our server, Suzanne, was phenomenal. She was responsive, warm, and knowledgeable about the beer list. Ask for her when you come in! I ordered the tempura beer battered chicken sliders, a menu item I typically avoid because of a low meat-to-bun ratio. Although these sliders also had a bit more bread than I like, the flavors certainly made up for it. First, what these sliders were not: sad, heavily battered, charred to a crisp, chucks of pressed chicken parts smashed between two pieces of tough, dry "rolls." What these sliders were: lightly battered and fried, juicy, delightfully tasty chicken placed on soft, sweet rolls. The sauce offered a nice twang without being overpowering. The fries were done well: hot, crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. Perhaps most respectable, the draught list was comprehensive, rounded out with an array of local brews. Importantly, one had to search for the unmentionables (e.g., Bud Light) hidden among the craft beers, a nice showcase of local talent. I have been to the Brass Tap several times. It is hit or miss each time. I love the vibe and the drinks are good but the food....DON'T waste your money. I sat at the bar with my friend where we were in front of the kitchen window. I ordered the pretzels with beer cheese to start. I could see my order at the pass as well as a waitress eating her dinner from the window next to my food then comes over and brings it to us with her dirty chicken wing hands...It was like nothing I have ever seen. I seriously thought at first that it was a customers food she was nibbling on. The pretzels were old and dry and the beer cheese was worse then cheese whiz. I then ordered the chicken nachos which had the same "cheese" all over it. They could have at least warmed it up and mixed it. It was like blobs of nasty old cheese so I sent it back. At that point I was done.....I will never return. Someone needs to get the kitchen staff some training. read more

Giving a four star rating despite them being out of multiple beers because I had a good overall experience. The draft list was great and I got to try a few IPAs that I hadn't previously seen on draft. One of my dining companions tried ordering three different beers off the list before he finally found one that wasn't kicked though. apparently the manager was out of town, which didn't seem like a reasonable excuse but so it goes. I appreciated that the waitress was honest with us and from what my family said, they'd never had the issue before and have visited multiple times. The atmosphere was fun and we got to sit at a big outdoor table. Then these little pretzel bites with beer cheese fell down from heaven onto our table. I could have eaten three orders by myself, they were that tasty. Perfect mix of buttery and salty pretzel. The beer cheese was spectacular as well, perfect consistency for dipping and was so tasty that we even saved the leftover to dip our other food in! For an entree I ordered the margarita pizza. The crust is made out of pretzel - genius! Lovely crunch and the slight saltiness was perfect with the cheese. I would definitely order it again. read more

First time at the restaurant and will never come back! I felt really bad for the bartender who was serving the entire restaurant! As a chain restaurant this was embarrassing! How do you short staff a restaurant on arguably the busiest restaurant week of the year! Now it was a Monday afternoon so it wasn't crazy busy however there were definitely over 25 people there and the poor bartender was running back and forth from the outside patio to the tables indoors all while dealing with his bar patrons! In total it took us 25 minutes to be given menus which were filthy and lunch for the 3 of us was 2 hours for a single round of drinks and 3 burgers! No management in sight!!!! A single waitress would have done wonders with service and timing! The beer list was huge which was cool however they didn't have the beer I wanted which was posted on their Special Local Beer Chalkboard on the wall! You'd think this list would be up to date!?!?! The food was mediocre at best the burgers were as good as you can get from a frozen patty! Overall this place was really a let down it could have been great if management wasn't screwing it up and little more detail was put into the place!!! read more

Yard house will all day kick this bar - restaurant into the ground. First off you can't order any drinks you want because they don't have them. I order a rum and coke instead, soda is flat. I'd like to start this review by explaining that I personally believe all businesses especially restaurants should lean towards improvement. As things change, I like to edit my ratings and reviews to reflect those improvements/downgrades. Ok, So this place is great to an extent. They have a really fun atmosphere for karaoke night (connect four, corn-hole), plenty of indoor/outdoor seating, and a clean and college classy indoor environment. You won't be overwhelmed by smoke or any other noxious smells, and most importantly, the beer is great; Lots of choices! Here is why I took away two stars. One of the most important considerations for today's college and young professional adult crowed is pricing. It isn't a secret that a dollar doesn't go as far as it used to, and just about everyone is counting them a lot closer. Unfortunately, the Brass Tap didn't get this memo and charges way too much for their beer. I am not useful enough to remember the exact prices, but expect to pay at least $20 individually here without the buzz to make you forget the dent in your wallet. If they can tackle their prices and maybe offer some specials I would gladly rate this place a 4 or 5 star hangout in Boynton Beach. I do however encourage everyone reading this to check it out if you're looking to stay local and have some fun. read more

Having heard rave reviews and a friend being new to the area three of us decided to try this out. The restaurant was at 25% capacity yet it appeared that there was a frenzy of disorganization and chaos going on. We arrived and walked in through the patio area and stood around for 5-10 minutes not being greeted by anyone having no idea if we were to seat our selves or wait for a host. Finally someone in our party went and asked the bartender and we sat ourselves. Another 10 minutes later a server in a hurried manner plopped three menus and scurried away. A while later he came back and asked if he could take our order after explaining nothing about the menu, beers, or cocktails. We ordered some appetizers and drinks and waited. The food came out over salted. After waiting to let him know we asked to switch one of the appetizers out but were by no means asking for it to be free, just to go back to the original recipe in hopes of it not being so salty and he said he was sending his manager over. 15 minutes later the manager came over and I told him that the server was not very good and he remarked that he worked with him before, had a table of 20 and went on and on about his restaurant problems.. HE also told us that there were plenty of other restaurants to go to, said the food was comp, crumpled up the check and while he was cleaning the table a knife hit someone in our party on his foot. Food: Pretzels with beer cheese: really good warm pretzel bites with amazing beer cheese. wasn't sure about this one because you can get pretzels anywhere but they were definitely worth getting; much better than your average pretzel. Pepper jack Mac n cheese: really good, had a nice little kick to it. Was garnished with bacon which was great. There was not too much bacon and it was not pre cut! Mac and cheese was the worst I ever had. Way too much Goopy gooey pepper jack cheese with a few pieces of pasta and a sprinkle of bacon on top. Fries were basic frozen fries with "fancy" named ketchup and aioli dipping sauces. Aioli had too much vinegar. We ordered buffalo chicken wings well done. I wish I would've read the reviews before I let my friend convince me to have lunch here. We were so hungry after a 3 hour workout session and she kept raving about other locations she'd been to - naturally, I was excited! The appearance is nice; they have games outside and it appears to be a full bar of beer. We got there a little after 1230 and there was only one server and two tables (including ours); the rest of the individuals there were being serviced by the bartender. It took the 17 minutes until we were asked what we wanted to eat and 42 minutes until we received our food. We asked the server where the rest of our meal was and she said it was coming...she later apologized and said she never even entered all of our meal. It took 42 minutes to get the wrong meal and heavily breaded chicken breasts. I didn't even eat my meal. I paid and left. The Kitchen Manager did stop by my table (randomly) and they told us if we really wanted the rest of our meal that they'd pay for the things the server forgot to add. Maybe it was just an off day? But from the looks of everyone's reviews...looks like they just need training on customer service and personnel management. read more

We come here fairly often and have always had pretty good service and I like their selection of beer. The bartenders are good in helping you choose one and letting you try them. For my second beer I wanted a coconut one but the 16oz pour was more coconut than I wanted. The barmaid suggested a smaller pour and I said that would be great. When I looked at the bill I was charged $10, I said that beer is $20 for a $16 oz?! She said no, it's the same price no matter how much we pour for you... really? If I'm going to pay for a 16 oz, then pour it and let me leave half of it if I want to and you can dump it out. It will be awhile before we come back (the breweries are closer and cheaper) and I will always make sure I question pricing before ordering! Very disappointed in this. read more
