Ok, we showed up at about 5:45 on a Friday afternoon and it was pretty full already. Parking situation is not the best but plenty of Room inside and Out! Seems like a great place if you want to watch some sports. There are at least 15 TVs in this joint. I'm not a HUGE beer guy....but they seem to have everything in Tap!! I let my buddy choose a beer for us. We went with Seadog Wild Blueberry which let me tell you was pretty darn good. You can smell the Blueberry!!!! We ordered 4 appetizers to start. Sausage Sampler, Mac & Cheese, Pretzel bites, and Bacon Cheese fries. Skip the sausage sampler....Mac & Cheese was stellar...thick gooey cheese, Cheese Fries..on Par...but the Pretzel Bites in beer Cheese..top notch! This is a great place to hang out...they have 21 TVs!!!!..along with great outdoor seating. The beer selection is stellar if that is your thing and the food is well above bar Food quality and interesting enough. I like the layout and atmosphere of the restaurant. And they do have a huge and great beer selection, but the beers are so overpriced and expensive. I can't see staying here to spend $3+ more when I can drive right down congress and have the same thing for less. I've also had poor service on several occasions. I've been here a few times now, and honestly I am amazed that they are still open. This location is off of Congress and Boynton Beach, in the Renaissance Commons area. It has a cool vibe, some outside tables and it's definitely a beer bar type of atmosphere. But every single time, and I mean every single time... I have come here, the service is so horrible! The last time I was here was a few days ago, after waiting 15 minutes sitting at the bar, with no service, and the bartender kept looking at us, I even tried to flag her down, we left. And we will not be returning. And this was not the first time that we've been ignored sitting at the bar. I just don't get it, some of their bartenders seem to have this attitude, and they should also realize they work off tips. I would not recommend this place, unless you want to get ignored at the bar. Went there for lunch on a random Thursday. The list of beers although extensive seemed like a whole lot of nothing I wanted to drink. I settled with a local brew and when I asked for a recommendation the waitress said it wasn't her personal favorite but couldn't recommend anything else. The beer was, for lack of a better term, crap. Beer seemed warmish or maybe the taps were dirty, I dunno. We went to watch a football game, because we thought it was a sports bar. They have TVs, but none of them were on sports until we asked which they did accommodate. The food quality is awful. The place is severely understaffed, which adds to the stress of the few people that were working and does not help their attitudes. Don't waste your time or your money. read more

I came here for a farewell party for a friend. I sat at the bar and waited over 5 minutes before someone even acknowledged me even though the employees walked in front of me several times and were even horsing around. The second time I came up to the bar it was the same thing the employees were in the corner horsing around talking to the kitchen staff once again I was ignored. Finally a waitress (not the bar staff) saw me standing around and asked if I wanted anything. Second Ike I come her and the service is lacking badly, I honestly would have never come back here and if this party wasn't being held here. Ordered from Brass Tap tonight through Delivery Dudes. Wanted tater tots and saw that there was an appetizer choice of tater tots with a side of beer cheese. This app cost $8. There was also an option to get a side of tater tots for $2.50. I assumed that the $8 app would have more tater tots than the side would (it's listed under Shareables on the menu, after all), so that's the choice I went with. I would give it zero if I could. Party of six and one person did not get food until the rest of the group finished eating. After several discussions, the manager, John, told us he will remove the $14.95 from the bill but we are no longer allowed to go to this restaurant. No issues as we were not even considering coming back to give them a chance to make it right. We did not want a free lousy grilled cheese sandwich and under cooked French fries. All we wanted was an apology for the delay. If you want to be mistreated by John the manager in his dirty T-shirt and jeans, and be spoken down to, this is the place for you. Also, it was Trivia night and the host was using foul language when young children were there and the trivia host had a verbal argument with a child over the sound system. While you'll also find friendly service, what you won't find is much food on the menu. They have a few items, but lack a lot of offerings that similar restaurants have. Ordered the pretzel pizza. It tasted more like regular pizza drowned in salt. Walked in. Not busy. Had to get my own menu. Waitress was sitting at a table, where she spent most of her night, though with regular check ups once she realized I was here (I had no idea she worked here either, nothing identifying). There's only 2 people working in the joint, and it wasn't terribly busy, but should have had another bar maid behind the bar Beer is overpriced and so is the food. The presentation looked great when it arrived, but it was fairly bland. I was salivating like Pavlov's dog, so one would think it would be amazing, yet I was sadly disappointed. I'll try a local place next time, which I thought this was prior to my arrival. I won't be back or recommend. Definitely hd worse, and better. Half my squad wanted beers and the other half wanted cocktails. Since I knew Brass Tap just got Spirits on deck we went in. I have to say I was really impressed with their drink menu! The majority of places have the same cocktails but this one was different! There's an Irish mule, different types of old fashions and flavor packed vodka lemonades. You really wouldn't think you're at a beer centered establishment after viewing the menu. We spoke with the bar manager Joey who created it and continued to talk about liquor for 30 minutes or so. You can tell he's very passionate about his craft and takes pride in his job. I'm excited to come back to try those lemonades. read more

Don't waste your time. Server was high and/or drunk on a Tuesday night. Dropped half our order on the ground when stumbling out with too many plates in his hands. We received water glasses that were still dirty and had lip marks on them. We asked for new ones and again dirty ones came out. No one wiping down the glasses I guess. Food was dry and subpar. Large beer selection but our server didn't even know what was on the menu. Let me start by saying that we had the absolute best weather on the night we went to The Brass Tap to celebrate my birthday! It was cool and slightly breezy (65 degrees), which made it perfect weather to enjoy my pumpkin beer. We were a party of nine, but we only waited briefly for two tables to open up. Our waitress was attentive and had a good sense of humor, which really a relief as we had a large party with a few indecisive people, myself included! Everyone seemed excited over the large beer selection; however, I will make note that they don't serve other types of alcohol. My friend requested whisky and was informed they don't have it. That said, you can request samples of beers that are on tap, which was GREAT since i am not a big drinker and have no idea what I like. The food was delicious. From a sausage sampler to soft pretzel bites in cheese dip to piled high steak nachos and delicious mac n cheese, the appetizers were out of control! Between the beer and the appetizers, we were so full that we didn't even order main dishes. (We will certainly go back to do so!) Also, there was live music, which was really nice! The Brass Tap surprised me on all fronts! The service is usually pretty good. My favorite part is that every server is more than willing to get you a sample of ANY beer you want to try on their draft list. So you just keep asking until you find the right one. I personally don't really enjoy beer, so this is really great for me to find the right pick. I even found a beer I thoroughly enjoyed (shout out to Funky Buddha and your Sweet Potato Casserole beer!). The kicker here is that the food is good! My two favs is their Peri Peri chicken panani and their chicken tacos. The Peri Peri has hummus and this really great (and spicy!) pepper sauce. The chicken tacos are really small, but just the right mix of flavors added to chicken that is always moist. They have fun nights of trivia and live music. They also have corn hole and a large jenga game for guests to play. Solid bar choice! read more

One star, because I used to love this place. My boyfriend and I are both new to the area and love chill places with a plethora of new beer to try. First time we stopped here several months ago, we were impressed with the food and beer selection and service was great too. Ever since then, every time stopping here has gone downhill. We brought friends that visited from out of town last month and it took more than ten minutes for a server to even acknowledge us, we finally got our beer 20 mins later. Refills didn't happen. And food took painstakingly long to arrive as well. And it didn't appear busy, just understaffed. Now tonight, 7/16/16, is this location's 2nd Birthday bash. I've been mentioning this to friends for the past two weeks to meet my boyfriend and I here after work. We got there around 10:20pm and found a table outside. The place is busy inside but there are plenty of open tables. Staff however is nonexistent for the outside section. Not a single server in almost twenty minutes. Not a hello, not a look in our direction, NOTHING. A few tables around us sit dirty and empty and ignored. So after waiting 20 mins and still no server we got up and left. I'm hungry and I want beer and it's pretty clear neither will be happening. I really wanted this to be my "local place" because I love the food and beer and will be living in this area for awhile, but get your act together BT staff. I was really excited when I heard that The Brass Tap would be opening in Boynton. I think it is a welcome addition to the area and should be a popular spot! We stopped in on the first night they were open to check out how they changed the space, and have a few beers, of course. They've got a great draft beer selection with over 60 beers on tap and a nice selection of local beers too. We had the pretzel bites/beer cheese appetizer with our drinks and it was yummy. We made sure to come back for their grand opening on Saturday so we could try some of the special release beers from Funky Buddha. I finally got to try Funky Buddha's No Crusts PB&J Beer, so I was psyched! We also grabbed lunch - they have a pretty solid menu if you're in the mood for snacks or a full-on meal. Against the advice of my brother, who has made this mistake many times, I ordered the nachos. I figured this was a safe option. It was not. A much braver friend of mine ordered the fish tacos, which looked like two freezer-burned fish sticks on a small, stale tortillas. I was actually scared for him. So remember, beer not food! Tip: Draft pour size is not listed on the menu, so make sure you ask before you order. I usually expect anything 7.5% and under to be in a pint glass and anything over to be in snifter. However, I've been burned a few times by their "special release" loophole that allows them to put lower abv beers in snifters. Such was the case for Funky Buddha OP Porter (6.3%), Prairie Standard (5.2%) and a Due South Stout (6.2%) whose name escapes me. read more

If I order a beer and it's not busy they should have a system where the waitress can walk 20 feet and get it behind the counter. This is not a big venue and I felt I waited too long for the few things I ordered. They do give free samples to try which is nice. The food is basic not great with portions. My husband had the fish and chips and although he said it was flavorful the fish looked like deep fried fish sticks. Not filling at all. The ketchup seemed home made as it had a very dark appearance and tasted more like BBQ sauce. I had the bratwurst on a bun and into my second bite there was a long hair pulled out of it. The manager was nice and apologized. He would have given me something else but at that point I completely lost my appetite so he just took it off the bill. All and all I won't ever come back. I would just recommend going for a beer no food. Also, the only non carbonated beverage is water they didn't even have ice tea or lemonade. read more

I somehow ended up here on trivia night and it was a pleasant surprise. Although I'm not a big beer drinker, they have other drinks for me to choose from like ciders and lambics. We ordered the beer cheese dip with pretzels and fries with balsamic ketchup and malt vinegar aioli. Everything was very good. Trivia lasted about 3 hours. I've been to the brass tap twice so far and probably won't be going back unless it's just for a beer. The first time my partner and I went, we walked in, unsure if we were to be seated or to seat ourselves. Wait staff just walked past us not making eye contact. We just sat ourselves outside after no one really greeted us. We sat for awhile with no one coming by to greet us and ask if we needed a drink. Wait staff walked by but didn't pay attention to us. We gave up sitting outside and walked in to the bar and sat there. We were served promptly by a nice bartender. We got our drinks and had the beer cheese with pretzels, salty but good. We actually overheard another customer come up to the bar asking if a waiter was going to come to their table outside because they had been waiting a long time! Guess we weren't the only ones. Our second trip is what determined that we didn't really care for the place. We went for beer, dinner, and trivia. Our waitress was very friendly. Beers were good, can't really go wrong there except that they are a bit pricey. Food was terrible. We got the mexican chicken flatbread which was okay, but nothing special. I got the quesadilla which was awful. I don't know what brand of pepper jack cheese they use but it was really quite disgusting. It had an off texture that left a strange film on your teeth. It was almost like it was a severely processed pre-melted old cheese. Needless to say, I barely ate any of it. My partner got the chicken tacos. They were the tiniest little things I'd ever seen, and it was supposed to be an entree. Each tortilla had about a 3inch diameter and two tiny little slivers of chicken on them. The tortilla chips were crumbled and straight out of a bag. Salsa tasted like the standard cheap jarred stuff you can buy at the food store. The food overall was very disappointing. It was not worth the price. Honestly, we could spend the same amount of money at any other craft beer spot in Boynton/Delray and be much much happier. It's just not worth it. read more

Walked into the bar on a Sunday at 6:15 pm, there was a 3 top and 4 top outside and 1 gentleman sitting at the bar. I walked in and took a corner seat at the bar. There was a younger gentleman talking to the one guy, and a taller bartender with a beard yelling at a girl for being behind the bar with flip flops on. He walked by me multiple times without acknowledging me all while yelling across the bar at this girl who I'm assuming was an off duty employee. So now the bar back has walked passed me looked right at me and didn't acknowledge me. Finally the bartender with the beard comes back and i think I'm finally going to get acknowledged, and he throws to menus in front of me turns around and starts yelling at her again. That's when i slowly walked out and was not urged by any employees to stay. Probably the worst I have ever been treated, do yourself a favor and go ANYWHERE else, worst service EVER! read more

My wife and I stopped by to check it out. While I drink beer it is not my first choice of libations (Crown Rocks) our bartender Nate was very knowledgeable in their offerings and was extremely helpful narrowing down our choices with samples. I sampled several and settled on a Kentucky Bourbon based beer who knew? My wife enjoys Mich Ultra and also tried several samples settling on one called Helles. While she enjoyed this beer she was happy to find out they also served a limited wine menu. While there we noticed they had a banana bread beer. .. This smelled and tasted like banana bread. While I would not get a keg of it was still fun and tasty to try as was the raspberry beer which would be great sitting outside on hot day. For food I got the chips and salsa. Salsa was too hot for my liking. My wife got hummus with pretzel bites. The pretzel bites were very tasty as was the hummus. Next time we will try the flatbread pizza and maybe the pretzel bread pizza. read more
