We were there on karaoke night around 4th of July. I didn't know Rockwall had so many talented people! The guy running the event was fantastic. Service was fast and friendly, and the margaritas are good. I'm not a beer drinker, so I was happy the margaritas were good. My brisket tacos were fantastic! This place claims to have a kitchen but it's actually just a bunch of microwaves lined up that somehow still burn food. Witnessed one of the employees leave the restroom, proceed to grab his crotch, and then itch under his shirt before heading back into the kitchen to serve food through the window. I had the Hot Chicken Tacos which was a chicken finger mildly spiced with some red spices and plopped onto a cold flour tortilla. The only decent thing about this place is the draft selection. Oh! Let's not forget about the soaking wet burger buns or the lack luster attitude the staff had. Ellie was a great server and got our drinks in a timely manner. Very friendly and always had a smile on her face.

We were excited to finally go try it. We just sat inside for 20 minutes waiting for someone to come to our table.. there were PLENTY of employees walking around passing left and right.. We ended up just getting up and leaving because their employees preferred to just stand in the corner gossiping and people watching instead of doing at least the minimum and bringing us at least a menu or acknowledging that we even existed. Service as non-existent. Upon arrival the young man advised us he was the only server but he would get to us as soon as he could & to pick our own table. We did- party of 6 adults, 2 kids & 1 infant. Two more servers arrived and the one assigned to our table took 15 minutes+ to take our drink orders. Another ten minutes goes by before we get our waters & soft drinks. Then 25 minutes later after being hailed back tells us they are out of the 1 craft beer ordered while delivering the other mixed drink. Had to call her back to take our order. I watched her being on her phone multiple times instead of checking her tables. Half of our food came out then the others had to wait several more minutes for theirs to arrive. It was like we were eating in shifts. They were also out of Ranch dressing. The place filled up as we waited and several tables that arrived much later than us were served first. Not impressed, at all, with the service, or lack there of, rather. TWICE we have come and had less than impressive service. We only returned, a second time, because the blood mary's are pretty good. Unfortunately, after waiting THIRTY FIVE minutes, & our server only coming over to take a drink order, before we had literally even sat down, & then never again, we decided to leave. WOW!!! I can't believe the experience my friends and I experienced. 1. The reservations we booked the week before was not ready when we arrived. Apparently the manager thought it was 12pm because his watched stoped working so the 2:30 reservation wasn't ready 2. We were only able to order 2 drink, apparently they were scared to over serve drinks. I would advise them to put a sign on the door stating that, but then again I did see the bartender serving a older gentlemen several drinks. 3. After everyone paid there tabs we decided to leave, well here's were things took a turn, as we were sitting at the bar next door we were quickly approached by a very aggressive cop who accused us of not paying our tabs at THE BRASS TAP!!!!! This was cause by the lack of organization of the waiter not closing our tabs out in the system after we paid. Which we all had bank accounts to prove the tabs were paid. AWFULLLLLLL AWFULLLLL AWFULLLLL way to celebrate my friends birthday with family and friends. And I must say I've never been so embarrassed and humiliated in my life. To be sitting in a bar and the cops come yelling at you accusing you of something that could have easily been settled in a respectful calm manner by easily showing my online banking! My fiancé and I came in tonight to celebrate an anniversary and Alli was our server and was so wonderful!! Honestly, made our night. They allow customers to sit at the bar, order alchoholic drinks, and loudly talk about the gun they are carrying. I asked (the bartender was Laura I believe) and was told to not mention it out loud. Not a safe place nor one I would recommend to anyone. read more

Could be a really great place, but service is slow and food is below average. Kind of pricy for what it is. Ordered 2 basic meals to go, chicken strips and a wrap, that would typically take a restaurant 20-30 minutes. After over an hour of sitting and waiting, went and asked server about food. Talked with manager and said shouldn't be but a few more minutes. After waiting 20 more minutes went back up and said it wasn't close to being ready. Cancelled order. Saw waitresses smoking Jules in the kitchen while on shift. A lot of people just standing around. I wouldn't recommend this place on Thursday-Sunday. If on the harbor o would go anywhere else. read more

This is not the great please the display to be. Last night we had the worst experience at this place. We were told that it was self seating.. so we sat ourself... 20 mins later a server brought us some water and menus.. we should of left then but we ordered our food. My friends food came out 20 mins before mine...i got my fries but my wings came out 20 mins after his did. I asked for a togo box and lids for ranch soon as he brought our food. We got no refills and never saw our server again. We sat there for 25 mins waiting for him to come back and bring the ticket but he never did so we decided we were gonna get up and leave. We walked in the restaurant because we was sitting outside, right past him where we was dancing with a group of people living his great life while his tables on the patio were sitting there waiting for him...We walked out of the resturant, right pass the front door dude and almost to the car when the server come running after us.. He said "Yall didnt pay for tab" i said "you never came back, we never got refills, i waited 20 mins for my wings, we walked right past you while you were dancing and out the door..." he then decided to tell me how stupid i was for walking out and no matter how bad the service was i shouldnt walk out. I told him that we had to leave and were tired of waiting, he didnt care to come back and make right with us, so i didnt care to stop him and beg him for the ticket we waited 20 mins for. I would not recommend this place to anyone if you want great service because this was far from great service. We were excited to try out this place as I saw the sign on The Harbor marquis. The night was beautiful, so we sat outside on comfortable chairs. The patio was packed, but the service was excellent! Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. The app from which to order beer/drinks and food off of was helpful and user-friendly. We ordered Sirloin steak loaded nachos for $13-- which wasn't a bad price. I would have preferred actual cheese, not a cheese sauce that covered. Our biggest gripe -- the price of the beers, especially the specialty ones. We ordered a Quad -- Ommegang 3 Philosophers-- and figured since it was a night out to suck it up and pay $11 apiece for a snifter. AND it was a small snifter! The other beers were $6.5-$8, but were not pints. We like the higher ABV because we like the taste and the weather is cooler, but we can go anywhere else and get the same for cheaper. The Brass Tap is trying to get people to buy-in on a point system where you can earn free food, but we have decided that it just isn't worth it to us for the money spent. Nice place, but unless they bring down their prices, they won't be around very long. read more

Tonight was my husband and my first time at The Brass Tap... we were NOT disappointed. Our server Tex and Jordan were both very attentive, helpful and personable. From the moment we sat down and throughout our entire visit we were attended to and checked in on multiple times. The Tiki Man and the Tap Out cocktails were AMAZING. We ordered the Korean BBQ sliders, hot chicken tacos and tater tots. The food was served quickly, hot and it was absolutely phenomenal. Tex helped us with joining the brew crew program as well as informing us about live vendors and karaoke nights that are in the works. We look forward to many more visits here!!! read more

Really a disappointing experience. Service good, but Food not so much. Ordered guacamole twice and first time they just mashed a cold avocado and threw in a bowl with nothing else, second time they "threw" in some jalapenos and bit of other and called it quac!! the ingredients are even on the menu?? It is opening day so a few issues (minor) but glad to see them finally open! I was a somewhat regular customer at Three Sheet (that location) and the place has been transformed ! Great to see! Atmosphere is excellent , if you want variety of things to watch at a sports bar this is the place! I have always supported sports (season tickets) because I simply want to truly enjoy the game only .... not politics or personal belief but that has become increasingly hard to find. I hope this location will take advantage of college events and give people a choice! Great atmosphere, fantastic selection of brews, great outdoor seating with a harbor view, indoor much the same...we have been waiting for this to finally open, Sideways (we were frequent patrons ) has changed a lot...last time we went there was HORRIBLE .... demanded I open a "tab" in order to order anything (I don't give a credit card to anyone to hold, I objected and was told "that's the way it works" and "we are busy" (they weren't ) and really got very crappy service.... I contacted them suggesting they change things a bit or reprimand the server or something! ...one of the owners response first blew it off (no apology at all ...Ive never had that kind of response from an owner of a business...and I can overlook a lot) then I was accused of having ties to Brass Tap ! If I do have ties they forgot to advise me to Saturday's grand opening party.... And the kicker was we saw their crew and I think one of Sideways owners there while we were there ! Guess they now know where to go to be treated with respect and have a good time (and trust me ...they were all having a great time!) We only had appetizers but a suggestion is spice it up just a bit (it is bar food) but have yet to try their lunch and dinner which we will! read more

Went to Brass Tap yesterday for a few drinks and an appetizer. Our service in the beginning was awesome. We got there between shift change and the bartender closed us out and advised that if we needed anything else the night shift would help us. The night shift started out great, we had an issue with a drink and the bartender fixed it immediately. Apparently this day was the first time they were having a comedy show from 7-9. The comedians say close to us at the bar while the show started and there was another person on the other side of them. The comedians were not drinking so on that side of the bar there was only 3 of us. The place wasn't real full and the bartender hardly came over to our side of the bar to see if we needed anything. It was about once every 25 min she would come over to check and stayed on the other side. That was my only complaint. We ended up having two orders of boom boom shrimp because it was that good! read more

If I could leave a no star I would. We had a party here where everyone paid for themselves. They asked for a card to put on file which I totally understand. When my husband gave them his card they swiped it 3 times telling us his card didn't work, so I gave them my card. They sid that one went thru. Just to find out later that night all 4 swipes actually went thru. When we asked the manager about it, he said not to worry they would drop off the next day. Only one of the $50 charges fell off just to be replaced by the actual charge of $67.65. The next day, those 3 extra "hold" charges that "didn't go thru" but did are still there and yet another new charge of $17.65 is now taken out of the account. If you add their $50 hold charge plus the 17.65 that is the actual charge. So now we have the actual charge of $67.65 plus 3-$50 fees and now a $17.65 fee taken out of the account. I called again the manager did not seem to worried about it, and claimed he filed a claim when I first reported it. Had this happened to his account he would have been all over it but because it's not affecting him directly and they made $235.30 from what should have been $67.65 he doesn't care. I know several of my party had the same issue as well. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE ROBBED AND HAVE TO FIGHT FOR YOUR MONEY. read more
