This is a little off the beaten track, but if you are ever in Falls City, Oregon, you definitely need to check this place out. This is a very friendly bakery that produce their own bread and pizza on site in theirfired brick oven. I sampled the pizza, the savory galette, and the jalapeno bread. If you are out and about, I would recommend The Bread Board for a relaxing, enjoyable meal. Pricing is reasonable and the decor is tasteful and features local artists and the staff is friendly and helpful. My personal favorite treat is they orange cranberry scone with a breve. read more

I should called but everything online indicates this place is open. In correct, drove all the way from Aumsville to find they are in fact not open. So I would highly recommend calling ahead to make sure they are open. read more

A gem off the beaten path. Goat cheese on the salad was the best, and their Pizza was to die for. The toppings combinations are selected for a reason: They're excellent together! Don't mess with perfection. Tasty and affordable local wines offered. The Live music was perfect for the space - not so loud that we couldn't converse. Our server (Sally) was a doll. Very reasonable prices on everything. We bought scones for the next morning's breakfast - my favorite was the pineapple with a taste of ginger. Yum! read more

For me, it was love at first sight when I first laid eyes on John and Keith's 4 lb sourdough miche at the Corvallis Farmer's Market. Buy it, toast it, spread a little butter, and relish in the fine art that they have created. It's a large bread, but it freezes like a dream and lasts me Saturday-Friday. Since first discovering their miche, I've been slowly trying their other breads, and the seeded whole wheat sourdough is my other favorite. No regrets. Moved to the area 5 years ago. Read an article about 2 guys who came to Falls City from Sebastapol, CA. Built & opened a wood fired bakery then made pizza. We were hooked, ate here regularly. One size pizza, 4 or 5 ways or however you wanted. Thin crust. Wow! Pizza & salad locally sourced. Bacon chunks in maple syrup. Oh my, their drinking chocolate! Last one served January 11, 2015. Sad. Keiths bread and pastry still available! Garlic knot, cinnamon (wife makes the greatest french toast with it) and all the other artisan stuff. We brought everyone here and now they can only (sic) have great bread. The story continues, new chapter. Almost forgot the staff, no way. Always friendly. Thanks guys! read more

Addicting wood-fire pizza! My husband and I make the drive to Falls City almost every other week for their pizza and delicious baked goods. Lovely atmosphere, so relaxed. I'd move to Fallls City, Oregon for this bakery, and the enormously clean-cut good looks of this sweet small town! As we arrived, they were just pulling out loaves of this amazing, cheesy, rosemary-infused, slightly spicy bread that was divine! With a bowl of pumpkin soup, it was simply smashing. We also sampled scones, a brownie, and two excellent cappuccinos. Bravo! This Napa county family was delighted by our lunch! First time here. Cute decor. Ordered daily special of french onion soup and buttered bread. There was no cheese or croutons in the soup. Soup extremely hot, too hot to eat. Had to take it home. Soup way too sweet. Won't order it again. Ordered pizza, as I heard it is a specialty. Took that home as well. I ordered pepperoni and got vege. Way too much spice and seasoning. I'm a serious amateur baker and these guys make fantastic bread and pizza. It's the largest wood-fired oven in Oregon and you can walk right up to it to watch. This is the thick chewy crust and moist interior. They make different breads each day. Super sandwiches made from their bread and you get thick slices of bread with it. Closed Tu,Wed,Th. This is worth the scenic drive to Falls City. It's the best of the artisan bakeries that I've come across in 5 states. read more

So I get it is Gourmet pizza and all, but the lack of toppings and blandness was not worth the drive from Salem. I was excited to try the mozzarella basil pizza with red sauce. Wow a cheese pizza with a few shredded slices of basil, a garnish really. Not enough to even enjoy the basil. We also got the prosciutto with caramelized onions and garlic, again a cheese pizza with garnishes of the toppings. I did have a good salad, but the pizza was bland and topping-less we were in a group and we could all agree the pizza isn't worth the drive, hopefully some of there other items are. read more
