My kids father use to work here and I stopped by a few times while he did i also do security and was a case study with A.B.C. I can trully say these Dummies put the name sports in front of bar and thought they were the first ones to have that bright idea and that its somthing new,2 words for you 5 syllables "co-yo-te ug-ly",the owners of the Break Room have no possibley have ethics about themselves at all lease of all business ethics,they are not concerned with the well being of their staff certainly not the patrons,they go out of their way to create a hostile work environment and do not listen to or respect securities decision to evict roudy and rude patron's or the reports of bartenders over serving patrons,this type of behavior makes it not only unsafe for the other human beings inside their business but the community as well,from my point of view they are basically putting everyone of living here or driving on a ca roadway more in jeopardy of being hit by drunk drivers shot or robbed by gang members because of their negligence and un-professionalism,they can say what ever they want but all in all these type of owners are the reason the hospitality community has become as hostile And violent as it has.thoght we was better then that.TRUUF. read more

I was in the Long Beach area and decided to check out the local Break Room. I've been to the one in Fullerton a few times but it was my first time at the Long Beach location. The bartender Evelyn was awesome. She was super friendly not only to the regulars but to me, a first time visitor. She was very attentive and served up another round whenever drinks were empty. The atmosphere was very relaxed. As the name of the bar says, it felt like the perfect place to go to take a break from everything and grab an ice cold beer and enjoy some good company. This place is great for pervs like me who like getting propositioned for fun just to say no. The drink specials are great but I'm scared of frequenting this place since it's a ticking time bomb waiting to get RAIDED. I've had 3 of the workers there ask to do "favors" for me for money several times. I get it that it's in a sh*tty part of LB but c'mon, you can't be that desperate. I normally receive great service, which is why this particular visit was a little disappointing. Today, my daughter and I came in to enjoy happy hour and spend some time together. We ordered the house salad, fried zucchini, six wings, and two lemon drop shots. Our salad and fried zucchini came out pretty quickly, and everything was going well at first. After about 20 minutes, I asked our server about the wings because we were already getting close to finishing the rest of our food. He told us the wings normally take about 15 minutes, but we had already been waiting longer than that. Another 20 minutes or so passed before the wings finally arrived. By that point, we had completely finished our salad and fried zucchini and had moved the empty dishes to the side. Unfortunately, when we picked up the wings, they were very cold. It seemed as though they may have been sitting in the kitchen for some time before being brought to our table. We let our server know, and he offered to have them refired. We considered it, but after waiting approximately 40 minutes, we were ready to leave and didn't want to wait even longer. He also asked whether I wanted them taken off the bill, but I decided to just have them packed to go. I do feel the situation could have been handled a little better from a customer-service standpoint. After waiting that long for food that arrived cold, I would have appreciated a little more effort to make the situation right, even if it was simply offering a discount or checking on the order sooner. I understand that happy hour can get busy, and I'm very understanding when a restaurant is crowded. However, checking back on delayed orders and making sure food is delivered while it's still hot can make a huge difference in the customer experience. This experience will not stop me from coming back because I have had many good experiences at Roxanne's. I really do enjoy this restaurant. I was just disappointed with how things went today, and I hope this feedback helps improve the experience during busy happy-hour times in the future.

Turns out you order everything at the bar -- but nobody tells you that up front. I had to go up three separate times: once to figure out the system and get waters, once to place our food order, and again later just to get a water refill. That last refill was the most frustrating part. The bartender who'd helped us earlier saw me standing at the end of the bar and just walked away. I waited and waited, didn't want to be that person yelling over other customers, and eventually another bartender helped me out. It really wasn't busy that night either, especially for a night with a whole festival happening nearby, so there wasn't a good excuse for it. On the plus side: my hamburger was genuinely really good, and the whole meal for two came out to about $30 -- the cheapest we ate the entire trip. My friend got a tomato pesto cheese sandwich, though he was too far gone to give me a real opinion on it. Food gets a thumbs up, but the lack of any real table service and being ignored at the bar soured the whole experience. Probably won't be back unless I hear the service has improved.

I am recently sober and just wanted to play pool. I've never been greeted this way at this establishment. He told us to leave or buy a drink. We kindly told him to fuck off and unfortunately I will never step foot in this bar ever again. Our close friend passed away recently and they are having a Remembrance Birthday but unfortunately I will not be attending because I'm appalled at the way we were treated. You've lost my partner, me, and our friends as neighborhood customers and I will continue to tell friends and family not to go to this bar. Never seen this bartender in all my time of going here and hope I never see him again in my life.
