This place is such a hidden gem and well known to the locals . I really enjoy coming here for happy hour. Everyday from 3-6pm . The services is always amazing the staff are friendly and the vibe is cool and relaxed and place anyone can enjoy . First off service, food, drinks and atmosphere is always great. We come on Sunday's every football season. Games start at 10am. For past season's they wouldn't offer the lunch menu until 11am. Only starting with brunch. I think due to customers not ordering brunch they'd usually just give us the lunch option early. This past Sunday a group of us arrived just before 10am per usual. We could over hear the manager saying he wasn't going to offer lunch until 12pm, maybe 11am. He wasn't still deciding. Football fans want a lunch menu while watching the games, not eggs. I had a very disappointing experience at Jimmy E's and unfortunately cannot recommend it. The service started off well, but things quickly went downhill. Our mozzarella sticks finally arrived after a long wait, only to have no cheese inside them. We then waited another 30 minutes for a replacement order that never came. When we expressed our frustration about the excessive wait, the male bartender and the woman wearing the USA shirt did their best to make the situation better, and I appreciated their effort. What was most disappointing happened at the end. The waitress who had originally seated us actually mocked my friend when he said the wait time was ridiculous. She laughed and repeated the word "ridiculous" in a sarcastic way instead of addressing our concerns. It was incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful. It's disappointing when a loyal customer is treated that way. I had much higher expectations for this place, and I truly believe the situation could have been handled better! read more

Came to Jimmy E's as a recommendation and it did not disappoint. Came during lunch and it was quiet, comfortable, and I enjoyed the low lighting inside. I ordered off of the lunch specials choosing the buffalo chicken wrap and my side was a salad. The salad was fresh and I enjoyed how the veggies were chopped (it's the details for me). Everything was really delicious, but I would get the buffalo sauce on the side next time as it was a bit too spicy for me. The food here is always fresh, delicious and served with a smile. Everyone who works here is nice, friendly, efficient and welcoming. I highly recommend this place to watch any/all sports as they have TVs on all walls and play all the games. The beers and tasty adult beverages are always cold. Great place to gather with family and friends to have a fun time. They have karaoke on Wednesday nights in case you feel like belting out a few songs. Went there a couple years back when it first opened or less stumbled upon it. Ambience is excellent indoor outdoor seating even a little area outback. First time I went then barbecue was excellent. All the food was wonderful. Since then, food qualities really fallen down. Meal we had today I had fish and chips. Nothing exciting wasn't frozen, but didn't look like anything that was amazing. Didn't taste well. Franchise were slightly cold and just hard. Place has a great selection of Bourbon's essentially located right off the highway is on is off. Service wasn't great. Either girl came by took her order. Disappeared never came back with sodas. Had to fly down another waitress. Place was crowded. I just recommend get the staff a little more fine tune bring the food back to the way it was when you started. And if it wasn't for the ambience, it would've been a two star. read more

This post is to shout out the outstanding service we received on Saturday 7/11/2026 during the Norway game. Juliette/Julianne/Julie (three sets of ears heard a different name) was there by her lonesome doing her best as the place filled up. I did see the bartender step in as well but she needed a lot more bodies to deal with the demand. For as long as we were there, she kept her cool, and we completely understood the delay in service. We decided to try one more burger during Long Beach Burger Week and went to Jimmy E's Bar + Grill. The restaurant has some dedicated parking spots in the parking lot which makes parking easy. Walking in, the restaurant is spacious and clean with a tavern vibe. We had to wait quite a while for the hostess to appear and seat us, but otherwise she and our waiter were very friendly the rest of the meal. We ordered the PBB + J (peanut butter, bacon, and jelly) and Cali burgers, and were able to swap out the cheeses for preferred cheeses. For sides, we ordered clam chowder and macaroni salad. The sides were a bit of a let down as the clam chowder was strangely cheesy instead of just creamy and was not very hot, while the macaroni in the salad was a bit tough and too dense. However, the burgers themselves were tasty and unique. Both $20 burgers also came with ale or soda, and we opted for fountain drinks since we don't drink alcohol. We chose cranberry juice and raspberry tea, both of which were refreshing. At the end, I had to double check our bill because we were still charged separately for drinks when they should have been included as we chose soda (cheaper) in lieu of beer for the burger deals, but the issue was remedied. I came here for the first time.Because my wife said that she came here for her first time and she had a great experience with the food.Unfortunately today for me, it was just boring and what I mean by that is that the chicken quesadilla that I ordered had no flavor no guacamole, no sour cream is just plain if you like that, then go for it but for me i'm a fat boy at heart, so I love flavor and food, and this was not for me. maybe next time. This pleasant young woman took the time to explain the menu, answering our questions. The restaurant was quite busy. It was noon, we fully expected high traffic. I enjoyed a BLT with fries. My wife had a 1/2 rack of Baby Back ribs. My BLT was nice. Nothing to get too excited about. I would order it again. Then there were my wife's Baby Back ribs. These suckers had to have come off an animal the size of a Greyhound bus. My goodness! Needless to say most were packed and brought home. The restaurant was most pleasant. I just got home from a bad experience with the "server /manager" Sam C. without having a meal or a positive resolution at Jimmy E's tonight. This being my second time ever I came in with my family which half of them has never been, so we managed to make it just in time before happy hour had ended. I asked the host if we can still order from the happy hour menu since we had 10 mins to 6pm and she stated that she will try to see if she can get the server to place the order quickly. Once the waitress arrived, she came off rushed and when I stated that we were ordering off the happy hour menu she waited until we ordered to inform us that there was no french fries due to the delivery not coming in on time. We were bummed but then proceeded to ask what other sides we could get instead of tator tots because we really don't like them. She gave off a irritated sigh and began to speak to us as we did not comprehend the first time that there weren't any fries available as if we did not say okay the first time. I asked if the kids could get any fruit with their kid's meals and she then said we don't have fruit or fries with an attitude. At this point I'm feeling like this is not a going to be the experience I had the first time, but I ended up ordering our food and just said it's fine because I still had not had one meal yet all day due to my busy day. After all the orders were placed about 15mins or less the food started coming out. I tried to call for our waiter so we could get napkins and another water due to one of my kids not receiving anything to drink, she walked by us so fast and just kept on avoiding coming to our table or staying long enough for us to ask any more questions as if we were bothering her. I ended up having to ask the host at the next table to help assist us because clearly our waitress had no interest doing so. Once everyone received their food, I had still been waiting for my simple happy hour nachos. A very basic nachos with no added protein...which never came........ When she finally came back to the table to ask how was everything at this point I became very frustrated because my whole table was almost done with their food and I had still not recieved my happy hour nachos which by this time had been over 30mins of waiting. She then said "oh yeah it's coming out now." And walked away. 10 mins later...yup you guessed it STILL NO NACHOS. So, I again asked the host nearby to get the manager because why is it taking so long for me to get a basic plate of happy hour nachos with no protein added??? And here comes our server coming over to tell us SHE IS THE MANAGER. So, I asked her is this the type of customer service that is provided to customers? Because clearly she did not want to serve us. She said she did nothing wrong and she felt like she provided us with great service. Even my mom told her that she didn't like the tartar sauce that was on her fish sandwich and if she can have another one so instead of saying yes sure thing or I'm sorry let me fix it for you she literally said "it's a fish sandwich it comes with tartar sauce" with such sarcasm. And when they did bring her a "new one" it was deep fried as if they wiped it off and refried it to remove the look of the tartar sauce being on there. After all of this "great customer service" and having to cancel my nachos because everyone had finished their meals and was ready to go, not once did she try to make the experience better but simply walked away all nonchalant as it did not matter. And honestly it sucks because when I first came two weeks ago, I really enjoyed the wings and fries. Now here I am typing this review and finally about to have my first meal of the day at 8:00pm because I had to go to the store on my way home from the restaurant due to not having a great experience or having a meal as well. With the cost of how much it is to eat out with a family of 5 which something we don't usually do, you'd think you could get a nice meal and friendly customer service these days. So, if you choose to go to this establishment be advise of the service and long food wait times. read more

Jimmy's in Long Beach is a great little American food spot with a fun neighborhood vibe. I've been here a few times now, and the food has always been really good. This time I had the Cali burger with onion rings, which was delicious. I also tried the lemon pepper wings, and those were really good too. Simple bar food done right. This was actually my fourth time coming here, and it's always a good time. They usually have live music on Fridays, and the place tends to draw a nice crowd. It's a solid little bar if you're looking to hang out, grab food, and enjoy the atmosphere. Last Sunday I came with a large group of friends, about 30 people or more, and I have to give a huge shout out to our server Cynthia. She was absolutely wonderful. There were only two servers working, and she handled our group with patience, kindness, and great recommendations. Hands down one of the best servers I've had. She definitely deserves a raise. They also have both indoor and outdoor seating, TVs for anyone who wants to catch sports, and happy hour every day from 3-6 PM, which is a nice bonus. Water was brought to the table by the busboy. And that sums up our dining experience. Waiters and waitresses walked by, we watched them bring food to other tables and even watched them chatting with customers. No one stopped by our table (we had menus, so they knew we were there to order). 15 minutes later, we decide to leave. Hostess apologizes. Busboy apologizes. We ask "who was our waiter?" We stopped here on Saturday afternoon for lunch, were greeted and seated right away by a welcoming and friendly hostess. They have Happy Hour 7 days from 3PM - 6PM. I tried their 'Pulled Pork', which is a slow cooked BBQ shredded pork sandwich with slaw and their house made BBQ sauce accompanied by a 'Blackberry Mojito'. The sandwich and fries were a bit too salty for my taste, but everything was very satisfying. The restaurant is clean and organized with a nice bar area and plenty of TVs throughout, showing any sports games at the time. The restroom was also clean during our visit. Service was amazing. My weekly neighborhood spot on Monday nights. If you are into local spots, come thru to hangout. Chill atmosphere and great energy for a fun night out. There are tvs all around so no bad seat in the house. The food is delicious! The waiters are super polite and eager to make any changes requested.
