Selena (waitress) and Obie (owner) were so amazing. I was pregaming for my birthday and I felt so welcomed. The food is 10/10 along with the environment of the establish. There is no other place I could see having brunch at. Definitely worth every penny. I got the brown sugar jerk wings, fruity pebbles waffle popsicles and the French toast breakfast sandwich with both breakfast potatoes and grits. Everything came out fresh and hot. This place is not ready for prime time. You can tell from the moment you walk in that they are ready for Instagram, but being ready for the 'Gram is a far cry from being ready for breakfast. We went on their second day being opened with high hopes. After sorting out an issue with our reservation we were seated. Apparently they are only seating by reservations which was unfortunate for the guy who walked in just before us. The hostess looked at him like he had just landed when he told her he was there for breakfast. She looked genuinely confused as to why someone off the street would be entering a breakfast establishment for, I don't know, breakfast. It never occurred to her to just tell the poor guy he needed a reservation. The entire exchange was weird and even though there were only two tables currently with guests, he decided to leave. I didn't blame him. I'd like to know how a serious restauranteur opens for breakfast and doesn't have COFFEE? Can someone explain that. Our server was fine she greeted us and performed her job as expected, but I can't imagine how she mustered up a straight face to tell a table of 5 during breakfast time at a place with the word "Breakfast" in the title that they don't have the quintessential breakfast beverage. Seriously, they knew they had an issue with coffee the night before or minimally that morning and yet, no one thought to run to Target and just buy a few off-the-shelf coffee makers. So many questions. Next up, I asked for hot sauce to accompany my greens and they were out. OUT.OF.HOT SAUCE. This is day two of business. How are you out of hot sauce at a business that is clearly designed to attract the segment of the public most likely to use hot sauce. And again, why did no one think sometime between closing last night and opening this morning to, I don't know, go to the store and pick some up? It's these small things that really aren't so small that lead me to my conclusion. Meanwhile, the food was ok. Someone at our table ordered the açaí bowl and they did not bring a spoon when it was served even though they were aware the silverware rolls did not come with a spoon and the bowl was not conducive to using a fork. I had to ask the bevy of servers that were all milling around talking to each other, enjoying the music and looking at their phones, three times to provide a spoon. Waffles were served 10 minutes ahead of the rest of the food at our table and without syrup. And lastly, the thing that makes me doubt a return visit, something else they were apparently out of: to-go containers. I was told someone was at Walmart picking some up at the moment I was requesting one. Yet another item they had to know they were out of at the end of the previous service day. This is where I wanted to loose it. It's 11:00 in the morning, our table had ordered quite a bit of food. None of it was inexpensive and our server was forced, with a straight face, to try to explain why we would have to leave it all there. Excuse me? She went back to the kitchen, she said, to ask someone in charge what she could do. She came back apologetic and insistent that there was nothing that could be done. I realize this too, was not her fault, but why even open if you can't get basic stuff right. The fact that the food itself was pretty good is overshadowed by the experience itself. I decided to celebrate my birthday by having brunch here. The hostess greeted me at the door and I was seated immediately. The ambiance is modern, comfortable, and a low noise level. Duce was my waiter and delivered excellent service. I ordered the Duluth Delight breakfast which consisted of scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast. Going to start by saying the only reason this review isn't a 1 Star rating is because of the manager, Bebe. If it were not for her kindness, grace, professionalism, and appreciation for real time customer feedback, I would have found a way to give this rating a zero. I should preface that my friends and I went into the dining experience knowing the restaurant had just opened recently, and that likely they would still be "getting the kinks out". So we came in with our cup of patience and just wanting to have some good food and drinks, which the social media exposure had seemingly guaranteed. That unfortunately was not the case. I won't spend the review talking about all the things that went wrong, because we shared that with Bebe, who stopped by our table unsolicited saying that she could sense our vibe was off and that she wanted to turn the experience around. She did her best, and although the experience was not great, I would come by to try it again in a few months to see if things improved. What I will share is how unprofessional, and frankly rude and disrespectful the OWNER of the restaurant was. The beginning of our experience was a bit delayed, which our server (I believe her name was Joseline, and despite a not so great experience she was lovely) gave us a heads up at the beginning that everything was a bit behind and apologized ahead of time about any delays. We watched all the servers scrambling, which was understandable because it was busy. But what was strange was that you could clearly sense who the owner was and that he was present during the madness, yet completely unbothered., Despite the restaurant being visibly slammed he was spending more time dapping up his homeboys and flirting with women than he did trying to help his team that was clearly struggling. And I mean STRUGGLING. The poor hostess who was trying to man the line at the door that never seemed to slow down was also trying to bus tables with no bar tray, picking up glasses and plates with one hand while holding the reservation iPad in the other. Meanwhile, the owner was at the bar laughing and joking with his friends, not assisting at all. After about 20-30 minutes at our table, we not only hadn't received our drinks, we hadn't even received water. Our waiter was clearly busy, so we waved over to the owner to mention that we had been sitting for some time, and simply wanted some water while we waited. Instead of being helpful, the owner was rude and belittling, basically asking which water option we could afford, the $6 bottled water or the free tap water. I responded saying it didn't matter, we wanted to whatever would get to the table the fastest and his response was that it did matter because he wasn't going to bring me something I wasn't going to pay for. I assume he thought we were phased by the price tag of some freaking water, and completely failed to acknowledge the fact that we were a customer that was inconvenienced. He couldn't have cared less, he just wanted to get back to his friends. Which he did the rest of the time we were there, rather than assisting with service recovery as we watched nearly every single table complain about something. So that is my biggest part of the review. Ownership - HORRIBLE. The rest of the experience will likely get better with time, and I applaud Bebe for stepping up the way she did during that brunch shift, because from where we sat it was not a pleasant one. read more

It's definitely a bar that serves breakfast. The service very slow. My wife's meal came out about 30 minutes after ordering but my meal took an additional 30 minutes to be cooked. Put some cute chairs and serve small d'oeuvres would put that spot above others. Seems like ATL has morphed into brunch, grass walls and wait times! Lastly as handsome as the server guy w/the tattoos was, he wasn't very sure of what was going on OR they kept calling him to serve more tables than he could realistically handle. Also, the booth tables are too high and too small for the booths if you are seating 5 or 6 people. Oh yeah, I don't like the 18% required gratuity regardless of the service from the waitress. And you have to put in a credit card to make a reservation which is ridiculous. The crab cakes were good and the was lot of meat and less breading. The cornbread was sweet with the honey drizzled on them. I may consider going back, but I'm not sure if they have my vote at this time. My food have to be right and if it's not right then I am disappointed for wasting my time and taste buds. This review is based on aesthetics wait time and food Unfortunately, this restaurant has no originality and looks like a copy and paste of every other black-owned breakfast restaurant. Wait times can be long so prepare. The menu is too long and it is playing a part in the quality of food. Maybe simplifying the menu can help with that. The menu also lacks creativity. As a woman that loves to brunch, I expected more from this new establishment's menu. The menu has no creativity at all. It's like whoever created the concept of this restaurant took all the ideas and replicated the menu of other successful black businesses like , Toast on Lenox, Breakfast Club, Breakfast at Barney's. The food isn't high quality and consistent compared to the others but it is in a big plaza with lots of parking compared to the others. I hope the owner reads this and makes the necessary changes to keep his business open it takes more than green walls and basic food. First off, maybe because we were one of the first few served but the fruity pebble popsicle waffles was stale. Our chicken was undercooked and had blood. Ordered the açaí. Bowl and did not receive a spoon. Could have just offered a refund on the stale popsicles or replaced the hard bread so that we can try it with their dip. There was gratuity included but we did not know and tipped an extra 18%on top of gratuity. The bread for the dip was hard and felt like plastic. The manager wasn't there but the manager did call us back only to offer complimentary drinks or appetizer next time. they could do better making up for horrible first time customers who wanted to support the restaurant. Only worthy for pictures of food for Instagram. Not to mention my car broke down in front of the store and the people at my table over heard the employees talking trash when I stepped outside. Had to take my niece else where to get breakfast. I was nice about it and didn't want to leave a bad review and that is what I told them I wouldn't do. We waited more than an hour for one appetizer and an hour and half for our food. The food though was delicious and the ambiance was really cute. I am still giving it 4 stars because I think it is worth checking out because of the food and ambiance. Management needs to hire more cooks and also train their staff better on dining phases, preparing the table with appetizer plates and silver ware, serving drinks and plates based on seat number, refilling drinks, and clearing the table throughout the dining phases. I believe the staff gets an automatic gratuity of 18% so there is no excuse as to why the service is not running smoothly. People are dining IN to be served as it's part of the experience, so yes there is value in a waitress / drink runner / food runner placing the drink and food in front of the correct person instead of placing three drinks in front of one person and expecting them to hand it out to their fellow diners. Also the steak and egg meal should be plated differently, because the potatoes being placed at the bottom makes them too hot to enjoy. The staff should inform the guest that the meat will continue to cook on the sizzling plate as a guide to give proper suggestion to how the meat should be cook. I ordered medium, but I really should have ordered medium-rare. The potatoes should be served on the side. The eggs should be on the side too, or on top of the meat (which it is in the picture, but the steak was served on top of the eggs). I made reservations for a Sunday. I arrived on time and went to check-in. No one was at the hostess stand so I waited. The hostess appeared from the back and look dead at me and did not acknowledge she would be with me. She acted as though I was not standing there waiting. She was talking to the coworkers, stopped at the bar and took her time heading to the stand. finally she approached the stand and I adv I have a reservation. she said ok and I went outside to wait. I was waiting for a minute so I went back inside to see what was going on and there was several people waiting for the hostess at the stand. One of the other customers mentioned the hostess ignored her as well when she arrived. She failed to mention I would receive a call when my booth was ready,SMH.
